BAD EXPERIENCE! (I've never had a barista snap at me or make me feel so terrible for wanting my drink made correctly) Let me preface this by saying that I go to three other Dutch bros locations frequently, one by my work, one by my house, and one by my favorite shopping center. I ended up stopping by the one closest to my nail salon since my nail tech wasn't quite ready, my sister stayed behind at the salon. The experience started great. I ordered two drinks, a medium iced americano with oat milk and a decaf iced white chocolate mocha with almond milk and caramel drizzle. I know the second drink seems complicated but I have ordered it verbally just the way I typed it out here at the other locations and they have never made it wrong. At this location, they gave me the drinks and the white chocolate mocha had actual dark chocolate in it? I was a barista for 5 years at various places and my sister worked for Dutch bros for a couple years. I had never had this occur. I waited to pull up to the window since they brought me the drinks down the line. I was polite in saying maybe I got the wrong drink or you guys rang it in wrong on accident. Again, I know these things happen and they were very busy. The two girls just looked at me blankly and grabbed the drink from my hand, asking what was the drink supposed to be? I repeated the order just the same way as usual, and said I think maybe you put regular mocha sauce. And the one girl just stared at me like I didn't know what I was talking about and then tried to tell me it's correct as they put dark chocolate in their white chocolate mochas then proceeded to say something that it had to do with the almond milk. I was so confused, so I repeated the order and said with no mocha. They remake it and give me the new drink with mocha in it yet again. It's super dark so I immediately know. I said that one has dark chocolate in it again. I was getting frustrated because they were getting huffy and impatient with me because they were busy. I even asked did I order it wrong? Is there something else I should be saying to avoid this issue? And the one girl snapped at me and said "don't say mocha". I was appalled. I have never had this experience before and I was very polite up until then, that's when I sternly said, "remake it with NO dark chocolate. NO dark chocolate just white chocolate." I had to emphasize that and they said, "okay, so that will be a latte with white chocolate." Yes? That's what a white chocolate mocha is to my knowledge? I felt bad because they were indeed very busy and I know how that is first hand but I just wanted the correct drink that I paid for. I was reasonable until the two girls running drinks and the girl at the window were rude. One snapped at me, the other tried to correct me and explain but the explanation made zero sense, and the one at the window tried to talk to me not very nicely but was cut off by the girl who corrected me. I finally got the drink but it had no caramel and I don't even know if it was decaf, my sister who the drink was for, has anxiety and a heart problem but loves her Dutch bros drink. So I'm happy to get it for her but if the barista did not make it decaf after that chaos I will be even more frustrated and angry than I already am with my experience here. That is now her health on the line and that is not okay. The customer is not always right I know from experience but when you don't know the person on the other side of the window, show some kindness and patience because now in events that remade drink wasn't made, my sister will suffer. 0/10 experience. It was cold & rainy today. There were employees taking orders out side with umbrellas. This place has 2 lanes that combine into one. If your on the right you can exit if you get your drink faster. They make drinks quick by the time you get up from. The person behind me got their drink before me. I got a hot white chocolate mocha on this chilly day. So good. read more

Dutch Bros coffee is in my opinion the best coffee around. Now that that's settled, let's talk about the 12th Avenue location. I was extremely impressed with the quick and attentive service specifically the people taking orders. I don't know another restaurant or coffee stand that will send their employees outside to take orders at your car and have your order ready within minutes. DB spoils their customers with some of the best customer service. Also, DB coffee is always rich in flavor. Recommend you try a coconut flavored latte. My only concern with this location is their car line system. Most DB stores are set up to take orders from both sides of the store and have cars line up on both sides. However, this store is unique in that it starts with one big line, then once the line is too long, you're asked to break off and move over to a sort of waiting line next to the big line, essentially creating two lines (it's a little hard to describe and can feel almost out of control when you're waiting in line). Nevertheless, they seem to make it work most of the time without too much waiting around but it does concern me that the long lines sometimes discourage folks from coming to this location. All in all, I always enjoy my experience whenever I visit this DB location and highly recommend anyone in the south side of Nampa to come check it out. read more

The employees are always so friendly and in such a good mood that it really puts a smile on your face... and who doesn't need that after fighting school traffic! Lol. Very frustrated by the poor service. The person that took our order was great, that's was about the only positive out my experience here. It took us about 20+ min to get our drinks, a caramel got chocolate and a kids hot chocolate. The line was huge when we got there but the young lady working the drive thru window was having 3-5 min conversations with every single car, which seems excessive when you have a line that is 15+ cars deep. We got our drinks and started to pull away when we tasted it and they were cold. I parked and went to the window to inform the staff what had happened and received a lecture about how I must ask for my hot coco and kids hot coco to be hot. They literally put cold milk in a cup and when I called them on it I got a lecture about how hot chocolate is made. The staff I dealt with, minus the young lady that took our order, were unprofessional, confrontational, and a bit condescending. This Dutch Bros is the closest to my house but won't be going there anymore. Just wanted to inform the management about how poorly trained in soft skills some of their staff is so that others don't have the same terrible customer service experience that I received. read more

I'm giving them two stars because even though I didn't like the fix offered, one girl was nice enough to try, but I am tired of this location. First of all, it's almost always super busy. Second, I HATE double drive thru lanes. Theirs is the worst one I have ever had to use. They're everywhere here. Not the fault of anyone that works there, but I want to mention that they suck. Usually, I at least get friendly service with my wrong drink. Today, I did not. I ordered a large snickerdoodle and a medium hot chocolate. The girl reads back a medium snickerdoodle hot chocolate. I said, "No." She said, "Isn't that what you said?" all annoyed at me (literally acted like I was a completed jerk that she heard me wrong.) NO, it wasn't. I was nice enough about it. I even tipped her (albeit less than normal.) Then I get to the window and there's two medium sized drinks. I said something. They want me to open the app for some reason, maybe to give me a free drink. I don't have the app and I was honest in telling them why. The ONLY reason I continue to even go to Dutch Bros is for the hot chocolate for my daughter who likes theirs the best. It just so happens that right now, they have some seasonal drinks that I will drink, but most of the time, the coffee is also terrible. It's not worth the money, it's not worth the wait, and it certainly isn't worth the attitude. NO, I do not have the app. I told them exactly why: You guys always screw up my drink. At least they're consistent in something. If I go to get my daughter another hot chocolate here, I will just go to a different location and since they always get her order right, I will refrain from ordering anything. read more

Went here after a dinner date ended up waiting 20 minutes behind 2 cars because the people through the drive-through decide to chat for about 10 minutes to the people after they already given them their coffees. Once we got ours the soft top was melted(if it even had it?) the ice coffees were melted. I tried to give the girl sitting on the window just some nice advice she rolled her eyes at me said they were in training I said well this is a good opportunity to learn if you're in training training. She walked away. Needless to say our hot coffees were barely warm, our ice coffees were melted and the service was poor. The kids need more training seems like they were more concerned with their friends. I will not be going back to this location. Sucks because we love Dutch Bros. read more

I drove through on Easter and ordered a large ocean water iced tea for myself, and a kids chocolate milk. When I got up to the window, the girl asked me if I had the large iced tea and a muffin top. I told her that we hadn't ordered a muffin top, just a kids chocolate milk. Another girl refunded the muffin top, then charged me another $2.75 and said that the refund wouldn't show up in a few days but they had to recharge me for the kids drink. I would have figured that because they had made the mistake they wouldn't double charge me, but they did. They handed me a huge cup of chocolate milk for my 2 year old and I was confused because it usually comes in a small kids cup. There was no way my toddler could drink that entire thing even if he wanted to. I asked the girl if that was a kids chocolate milk and she said that they could put it into a kids cup if I wanted to. There was a line behind me and I just wanted to get out of there so I said no thanks. I don't normally complain when people make mistakes like this, but when I got home I looked up how much a kid's chocolate milk was and it says $1.50 on their menu online. So basically I double paid for my son's milk and they overcharged me the second time. It's very frustrating when you don't get good customer service and then end up getting overcharged after TWO mistakes made by them. you can only repeat yourself so many times, you know? I am in trouble. I do not live very far from 12th Ave. There is a Dutch Brothers and Starbucks right around the corner from me. I am addicted to both. I primarily go to Dutch Brothers because the coffee and service is way better. All Dutch Brothers in general need a variety of food; they only serve muffin tops which seems kind of pointless if you don't get the entire muffin! Anyways, I was super excited when the one on 12th opened because it was closer than the other two in the area. They are popping up like Starbucks! My dog gets excited about coming to Dutch Brothers. She is what they call a real Dutch dog. She eagerly waits for them to approach and they always give her a cookie. The energy is nice. This location is not as loud as the others which is kind of nice because your not hollering over techno music. I think it is due to the fact that they are in a neighborhood so they have to be respectful. What I find a little bit disappointing is the fact that they only have one side for lanes. I think they opened up another lane, but this can lead to the same confusion that you run into at McDonnald's. I like locations with two sides for lanes. The other side of this location is for parking. Which is okay if you are stopping to sit to have a cup of Joe. Overall, I am pretty happy. Their coffee is wonderful. I enjoy the staff. I absolutely love going through Dutch bros and every time I go through the employees are always so kind and energetic but I went through the 12th ave stand yesterday (5/23/202) early on in the afternoon and a weird interaction happened between the employees. A pretty blond girl was walking up to my car but before she got there the redhead and blonde girl were hollering at each other and I'm not sure what was said but the blonde girl rolled her eyes and seemed to have a rude, standoffish attitude. It was a quick interaction and when she got to my car she went straight into asking for my order without a greeting at all. The interaction was extremely quick and she made me feel more of an inconvenience then making my presence feel welcomed. read more

I have been to dutch brothers in several locations across multiple states and everyone I've been to has amazing customer service. The amount of energy and friendliness dutch brothers bring to the work place is amazing. There coffee is nothing short of addicting. The only complaint is would have against dutch brothers is the difference in price for a hot/iced beverage vs a blended one. This location has become my home location since it's on my way to college. Employees lean on my car or in my car part of the time I come through and I don't like it honestly. If the music weren't so loud, I would be able to order at the window without having to repeat myself or have my toddler wake up when going to grab a quick latte. I am always on the go and one thing I always get is a coffee to get me through my day. So I am always at the Dutch Bros on Caldwell blvd, Garrity, and the one on 12th. No matter where I am it's nice to be able to not have to go out of my way to get coffee. There is one BIG problem though.. the Dutch Bros on 12th Ave. I have decided to go out of my way or go somewhere else if I am on that side of town because I am extremely sick of some of the young girls being so rude!! One reason I go to dutch is because the customer service is outstanding (on Caldwell blvd.) And the coffee is great too. The problem I have is usually with the girls taking my drink order. They always correct me when I order my coffee it wouldn't be such a big deal if they werent so damn rude about it or if they knew what they were talking about! I make sure when I order that I mention whether it's hot or cold a mocha or not and if what I am ordering is something made by dutch bros. (Not a milky way etc.) If I say hot they say it's called a mocha. Okay well won't make that mistake again clearly because I don't want to be treated like I am insignificant. Today I ordered my usual. Never ever ever have any problems unless I am on 12th. I ordered a large hot German chocolate mocha. She corrected me and said "yeah um just so you know thats called a caramalizer" and then I was given a drink that I did not want because the last thing I wanted to do was argue with someone who is obviously just trained wrong and I know the coffee will still taste good. Not worth my time telling your employees how to do there job and I'm just not that type of person, but after I don't know how many times of them being confused and rude i have to say something. Today it was the blonde girl if that might help with any follow up. I used to order a Cocomo with caramel until one day I was corrected that it's called a German chocolate so that's what I have said ever since. I feel like I can't win.
