I was hesitant only because there's so many coffee places in this valley to compete with I just had coffee with my breakfast that same morning, but I jumped right in. It tasted close to my Great grandma Gram's coffee. Wow! I was so shocked! The man talking to me about the coffee handed me some stickers and coupons. It has a very local, community feel that's getting harder to find. The coffee itself is fine -- not terrible, not "drive across town for it" amazing either. I usually just get the unlimited refill cup and drink from one of their mugs while I work for a bit. Where this place really shines is the baked goods and breakfast food. You can smell everything being made from their little kitchen, and it feels genuinely homemade in a way most coffee shops don't anymore. Their molasses cookies are somehow available year-round and I'm not exaggerating when I say if they're sold out, my day takes a turn. The quiche Lorraine is also legitimately excellent with a buttery crust, and they usually have a surprisingly good variety of gluten-free baked goods too. One thing I oddly appreciate: no music and no giant café chaos. Also no plugs, so this isn't the place to camp for 6 hours on a laptop. But if I need a quiet spot to answer emails or get 1-1.5 hours of work done without distraction, this is actually one of my favorite places to go.

The last time I went I tried the gingerbread latte - this was hands down THE BEST gingerbread latte I've ever had! I'm so bummed it's seasonal and that they aren't closer to me so I can enjoy it more before it's gone. I did enjoy their breakfast burrito, it is a smidge expensive, but it's solid. My partner is a black coffee drinker and he likes their Fruit Snacks brew for drip, says it's one of the best black coffees he's found in a while. The ambiance is very relaxed, the swing chairs are such a unique idea (at least in my experience) and they give the shop a fun vibe. I kind of wish they were in just a little bit bigger location, the last time I went it was fairly full inside and it would be great if they had a few more spots for comfy reading chairs - I would love to grab some snacks, a couple of drinks, and spend an hour or two reading there. It's definitely a warm environment and any time I'm in the area, I plan to head back.

I have been to a lot of candy stores in our valley but just a shop that focuses on chocolate, a total different vibe! I made my way to the Chocolat Bar today. The perfect shop to help with my sweet tooth. I remember getting some chocolates as a gift but it was nice to be able to make my way into the store. The venue is so stunning. Beautiful displays of hot cocoa containers, chocolate bars and gift boxes of chocolates. Bright display cases of beautifully made chocolates and truffles. Everything looked divine! As much as I wanted to buy a whole pound of chocolates, I knew I couldn't polish off a whole pound by myself. My husband loves chocolate but isn't into anything fancy. I know he wasn't going to help me with a the chocolates I would have picked out. So, I opted to grab a small box of assorted chocolates. The little box I grabbed was simple and delicate. I love the little blue bow on the box. It was just the right amount of goodies for me. And since it's a variety, I get to try a little of everything. I appreciate that they have a list of what was going to be in the box. You get a nice mix of dark and milk chocolate. I'm not going to lie, I opened up that box and had 2 pieces of the dark chocolates drops. No guilt polishing off 2 pieces of chocolate right away. Later I had a milk chocolate drop with cashews I believe and I'm in love. I recall the chocolates I had in the past were fabulous but the chocolates I got today were delicious! And I plan on not sharing the rest of the box with anyone in my house. I was hesitant at the store purchasing a whole pound of chocolate but after eating 3 pieces of it today, I think I'm going to have to grab a pound the next time I come in. I know I'll have to pace myself with that many sweets but it'll be so worth every penny! Happy I stopped in for a treat today. The staff was super friendly and helpful. I got to support a local business. After reading a couple reviews, the coffee and Gelato are a must here too, a must have on my next visit. The store is so pretty and bright. The chocolates here are fantastic. I can't wait to come back soon for some Valentines day treats.

The standout for me was definitely the mixed berry crepes. They were really good with plenty of fresh berries and were my favorite thing we ordered. The biscuits and gravy also had a really flavorful gravy, and even the half order was a huge portion. The kids waffle was also much bigger than expected and came loaded with strawberries and whipped cream. The prices were a little higher than I'd typically expect for breakfast most entrees were around $17+, the special was around $18, and kids meals were about $10. That said, the portion sizes are very generous, so you definitely aren't leaving hungry. The food was good and the portions were excellent, everything came out fresh and fast . While it wasn't the absolute best breakfast I've ever had, it was a solid meal with great serving sizes.
