I used to work for Dutch and appreciated them for its kind and forgiving way of helping its workers through their day and many people looking at it as an escape from whatever else was going on. They want to claim that they are an ethical business that treat all people with respect but yet there is someone who has worked there for 6 years on a final warning for trying to help a customer and they switch up the story and make it one sided by leaving a bad review so now somebody is on the verge of losing their job because somebody else wanted to not look at the menu and make it the employees fault for not being able to help them further, they do not have menus on there tablets there is an app you can use or look at the menu before pulling in or simple drive forward where there is ANOTHER menu for the seasonal drinks which is what this reviewer was complaining about, I urge Dutch bros to change how they go about respecting their employees because I already know that has been an urgent problem and I urge the customer to not go after somebody for trying to do their job with what they're able to do and using your own personal ways of going about it to attack them on a review app which is made to spread information about your experiences not twist the story enough to make people think the person who has put in their time and effort and service for 6 years shouldn't have been there in the first place they're an amazing worker and gives amazing service and are much loved by many of the regulars who pass through Dutch bros on betteravia read more

Stopped in on a random weeknight. Fortunately there was no line. I was greeted when I pulled up immediately and the drink was made to order and ready quickly. Service was friendly as always and my order was correct. The store itself looked very clean from the outside and the flavor of my coffee was perfect. They have rapid employee turnover, unethical hiring practices and I just found out they let a bunch of young workers go after hiring too many then leaving them high and dry which is a cruel practice when people need work. Young people be aware you have a high chance of being laid off after a short stint, whatever serves their temporary needs then they will ditch you. The service made me give the 5 stars. I got the 9-1-1. It looked light and I was afraid that there was more milk than the coffee but it was done right and the coffee tasted great. The barista/server was wonderful, super helpful and sweet. It made my experience at this branch wonderful. There was a long line at the drive-thru yet my drink came out fairly quick. It is more of a pick up/drive-thru branch. There are outdoor benches to sit on while waiting for your drinks. The location seems to be overwhelmed with the demand of the people, for we the people need good strong coffee. The Golden Eagle tasted as though the golden part was missing. I don't know where to begin with this location. They are simply the best. I don't drink coffee that often but whenever I get the craving this is my spot. Everyone here is amazing no matter what time of day you go. They fulfill on every level of customer service you could ask for. I always look forward to my interactions with the employees and they really make a difference in the process. Everyone is extremely friendly and wants to engage in conversation. Dutch Bros doesn't have the best coffee ever, but they do have great service and creative, tasty drinks. I ordered an Annihilator but with half sugar and extra ice, since normally their drinks are super super sweet. They made it really well - it was just the right sweetness. It was pretty heavy on the cream (since the Annihilator is a breve drink) but that's okay. It was rephreshing on a warm day. They made the drink before we even finished getting to the end of the drive-through, so I was pleased with that. read more

This location sucks. I gave it a final shot today. I swear, my order is ALWAYS wrong or just not good here. Today was my birthday and I got a drink with soft top. The tablet guy repeated my order back and it was right. I get up there, no soft top. ANY other Dutch Bros location would just take it back quick and fix it, but they insisted that because it wasn't entered I had to pay for it. And they wouldn't even take the coffee to add it, they handed it to me in a seperate cup. Then I had to pull over and pour out the coffee and make a mess just getting the soft top on there. We like Dutch Bros coffee, it just tastes better than Starbucks or the typical dishwater coffee at restaurants locally. The kids are nice that run the place, very friendly, and often want to make sure you get exactly what you ordered. No ambiance per se, it's all drive through, but that's fine with us. Service: she didn't listen to anything I ordered, she also messed up my friend's order. She wasn't helpful when I asked questions, she kinda just didn't know the answer. Dutch Bros management of the Betteravia store in Santa Maria. You need to staff better. If you going to offer order ahead service staff more people before 8 am. Your store was poorly staffed in the mornings before offering order ahead. Now its grossly understaffed!!! These poor over worked and probably under paid broistas. I was in line for 20+ min. When i finally got to the front, only 5 cars ahead of me, I had to watch the one person make 4 drinks while i waited for mine to be started. Then because he was frazzled he made it wrong, not his fault. So i waited again for another person to make it. Their management needs to do better. Also Corporate Dutch Bros DO BETTER. I was so pleased to see a second Dutch Bros Coffee open up in Santa Maria. Whenever I'm in northern Santa Barbara County, I must stop in for my fix. Heck, I could live at this Santa Maria intersection given the Raising Cane's, Crumbl Cookies and now Dutch Bros within walking distance. This location offers a pleasant outdoor patio--versus most are strictly a drive-thru or walk up. Once you can get through the street light at S. College Drive, the rest is a breeze. The drive-thru begins with two lanes that have menus featuring their newest offerings and creations. There are signs to scan the QR code to view the endless menu. Given that it is Fall, I was tempted to 'creep it real.' Usually I go with my order of an Iced Oat Milk Golden Eagle (creamy breve featuring bold espresso, half and half, vanilla syrup and caramel sauce, then topped with whipped cream and caramel syrup). The 'broista' (I love that they call their baristas this gender-neutral term!) talked me into doing the Caramel Pumpkin Breve Latte. It was FANGtastic!
