I just recently finished my physical therapy sessions at Dutch. This is my second experience there. My doctor specifically requested that I get my therapy with Mirjam there. He told me that he's been to some seminars that she has given and firmly believes that she has knowledge about spinal issues and techniques that are far superior than any other he's experienced. I would have driven any distance to get this specialized care but was fortunate enough that they have a location close to my residence. Mirjam and her staff go above and beyond to cater to your individual needs and it didn't take long to understand why my doctor recommended her. The facility is user friendly and super clean. My and Judy are very personable and make doing business a pleasure. For any future physical therapy needs, this will be my go to place. Thanks Mirjam. Good Treatment when you get the attention. Philippe is a great therapist and incredibly knowledgeable, although he can get sidetracked with talking with other patients leaving you scratching your head as to what to do next and when he'll be back around. More importantly, learn how to navigate insurance as you won't get much help. For instance, I asked weekly what the status of unprocessed claims were and they advised they didn't know. When asked if they would call to figure it out, they said not without a phone number and reference number. Meanwhile every time I called I got to the right person without either. Their insufficient attention in this department cost me a lot of money to which they responded they were "doing me a favor" by having me pay $75 a visit as opposed to just calling and speaking with the insurance company for more authorization. My wife encountered insurance issues as well. She received an invoice for over $1000 and called the billing manager. She stated that the claims weren't paid. My wife called the insurance company and notified them and they advised that the payments had already been issued. The next call my wife made to the billing manager (less than a day after) "amazingly" all of the claims were paid and nothing was owed. In short, good therapy but a highly suspect billing department and lackluster patient care outside of the therapy itself. read more

Dutch Physical Therapy and their staff have helped me more than I could imagine. I was in an automobile accident and found myself in so much pain that I was unable to even roll over in bed without tears. Brian Delaune has been my therapist from the start. While it was slow going through part of the process due to my pain levels, Brian saw me through it all with patience, kindness, and a gentle hand. I am coming to the end of my treatments and have come so much farther than I thought would be possible from where I started. Brian has instructed me along the way on things that I can do at home to further my progress. I know that if I am ever in need again, I will definitely return to Dutch on Siegen Lane to get me back into shape. I am a patient and I have to say that Dutch Physical Therapy is the BEST place to go if you are in need of PT!!!! What sets it apart from other places in Baton Rouge is the highly educated staff and the way they educate YOU on how to actually get better while away from their office!! A lot of other PT's tell you to do an exercise (while never explaining why and how this is benefiting you) and then just stick you in a corner. I highly recommend Dutch PT because they truly care about each and every patient and making them feel better!!! read more

If you decide to use Dutch Physical Therpay make sure you are knowledgeable in insurance. Stella has lied more than one time to my husband and I about our claims and account balances. I work with insurance companies everyday probably little to Stella's knowledge. I was able to contact my insurance in between phone calls with her and my over $1,000 balance was paid the next day when actually the check had been cut at least 1 week prior and insurance was saying claims had already been paid. Also several different representatives told me there were several duplicate claims and it looked like the person who filed had no idea what they were doing. They proceeded to explain to me the history log of my claims and I was furious when I found out she had lied to me more than one time in the same day. Unfortunately for my husband he had already signed a payment agreeemnt and did not have the knowledge to correct Stella's/Judy's mistakes in time. In his case to prevent such a large balance (over $2,000) a simple phone call from Dutch would have done the trick. I know insurance companies do like to place blame, but I have enough experience with them to know that Stella dropped the ball. Philippe is excellent!!! read more

Dutch has the MOST AMAZING RESULTS, & IS BEST POSSIBLE CHOICE IF YOU ARE IN PAIN! They earned way more than 5 stars. If you let them teach you, do your exercises (yes, even at home), & DON'T GIVE UP - they WILL make your pain go away or at least make it livable. Also POLITE, CLEAN, with PRIVATE ROOMS WITH DOORS (all but when ready for gym equipment) unlike some that are so very awkward have to do embarrassing stuff where everyone can see!) so have PRIVACY while grimacing & grunting through... My Story: . I went to Seigen location (all are great) to see Phillipe, a PT guru, even though I live all the way out in Central. He was my EIGHTH physical therapist! Because the others just told me to do exercise anyway when it caused me serious pain, & he would ask a few questions then PHILLIPE KNEW A TRICK to make bearable so I COULD & WOULD DO EXERCISES! I had long given up hope of not being in excruciating agony every moment of my life after 2 back specialist doctors, 2 back surgureons, 7 other PT's, etc. had told me to never expect my back to get better- at only 30 yrs old! The thought of 40-60 years of the kind of pain I used to be in made me want to die. Sorry for the cliché- HE TRUELY, COMPLETELY CHANGED MY LIFE! While he had me in tears at evaluation, I gave him a chance & he gave me the ability to have a normal life. I was an extreme case: even in my brace I couldn't touch my knees without sitting, put on my own socks & underwear, or carry 2 lbs. without wanting to cry at the 1st meet, & a month or 2 later I was so much improved I had HOPE again. I kept trying & now I can (then & several years later) touch my toes, & bear, care for, lift & carry my now 35 lbs. daughter. My back will never be perfect, but now I have to TELL people. read more
