Poutine - pretty good!
Li W.

My family and I got: 1. Hot apple cider - $10 and it was just okay 2. Pomegranate ginger spritz - nonalcoholic and pretty good 3. Poutine - pretty good 4. Homemade sausages on a bed of sauerkraut - weird that it didn't come with bread or potatoes or something 5. Reuben sandwich - pretty good. Meats all house-cured. 6. Dutch onion soup - not very flavorful and just salty. Lots of cheese though mmm 7. Pork schnitzel - pretty good! 9. Liver pâté - my sister really likes it Overall pretty solid restaurant, and it was family-friendly too. Kind waitress. Not like mind-blowing but solid.

We really liked this place for local Amish-style food. The place is nicely decorated and was well supported by friendly staff to help with everything to seating, dining and checking out. We brought a family of 7 and had no issues getting in for breakfast. Our sever Brittany was just wonderful, explaining "scrapple" to us and helping us through our options. She was prompt, courteous and just all around wonderful to us. We tried just about everything on the breakfast menu it seems, from pancakes (they are dinner plate huge!) to omelettes, breakfast sandwiches (bacon, egg, lettuce and tomato) to several customizable omelettes, breakfast scrambles, and more traditional Farmer's breakfast platers. Some of the highlights: the omelette options are endless, really. You can make it with as few or as many ingredients as you want and it doesn't change the price; this was a huge plus!! The omelets and scrambles are similar with the ingredients mixed in and browned nicely. Many of the specials came with coffee included which was another plus. There were about 4-5 potato options which was great; we liked the potato cakes the best as they were nicely seasoned and included dill; deep fried to perfection. The only thing we didn't care for was the scrapple, but that's probably because we weren't used to it; I'm glad I tried it though. I would definitely come back here!

Nice spacious parking. Service was great. Breakfast menu is a bit simple. Casual dinning with very standard cozy food. They no longer serve buffet so just be aware!

Came here for breakfast/brunch buffet for the first time. Per person is around $8. What's Hot - Decent selection. They have an omelette station, where they can also make waffles, pancakes, and crepes. They have French toast, stuffed French toast, baked oatmeal, etc... - Quality. Their ham slices are a decent thickness, which is nice. Not those deli slices of ham. Their omelettes are pretty good and have a decent amount of fillings. - Price. For the amount of food you can eat for the price, it's a pretty good deal. I've heard they also have coupons sometimes. Kids under 3 eat free, which is also helpful if you have little ones. What's Not - No hot sauce on the table. I had to ask if they have any and the waitress told me they only have Tabasco. Not bad, but I'm the person who like spicy foods and you better have spicy sauces. - Quality. Hubby noted that their blueberries for the crepes aren't fresh blueberries. My hubby is particular about his berries. They have cracker stew, which looks like it's saltine crackers in a bunch of butter and brown sugar. Really? What's so special about that? - It doesn't stand out. As good as this place is, it doesn't stand out. If you're into smorgasbords, I recommend Shady Maple. That place has a huge variety/options. Final Answer It's not like this place wows me. Would come back, but may not be my first choice.

Poor quality. Bacon cooked in a fryer. Used to be a lot better but all down hill after COVID. Food sometimes served cold.

After the play, we went to Hershey Farm Resort for dinner, and let me tell you--that was the biggest buffet I have ever been to! The food was absolutely amazing, with so many delicious options to choose from. I even tried crème brûlée French toast for the first time, and it was so good! If you ever get the chance to eat there, I highly recommend it. The restaurant itself is beautiful. As soon as you walk in, it's bright, welcoming, and incredibly spacious. The atmosphere made the experience even better. From an unforgettable show to an amazing meal, it was a wonderful day filled with great food, great fellowship, and great memories. I'm so thankful for opportunities like these with my church family.

So we had all you could eat breakfast in the main hotel. It we as nice we did that twice. This time we were able to stay at the Carriage House on the platform it was so nice. I think that it was a new section. We normally stay in the carriage which is equally nice. We had breakfast in the new restaurant it was amazing it was all you can eat. The food was great the staff was friendly. There were stores in the foyer area outside the restaurant. If you go to Sight and Sound definitely give it a stay you can Literally walk to the theater from the hotel. I wish I could give more than 5 stars.

Most of the buffet is self serve, but there are a couple of stations for food cooked on a grill or prepared to order. Lots of interesting soda flavors and different milks. Plates are removed promptly and the cooks are friendly. Loads of tables here so there was very little wait to be directed to the seating area. Decent quality food for a buffet overall. We also visited the store in the basement to walk off the food, which was quite expansive, and visited the grocery next door. Fun to see the Amish park their horses and buggies in designated parking spots.

Those were definitely the standouts. On the downside, I was surprised by how small the self-service soft drink cups were--I felt like I needed a refill after just a few sips. I also found several dishes to be dry and bland, including the brisket, ham, and mixed vegetables. The restaurant itself is enormous, which allows for an incredible selection of food. However, because of its size and popularity, the atmosphere felt a bit cramped and chaotic at times. It reminded me of navigating a busy cruise ship buffet--lots of people, lots of movement, and not the most relaxing dining experience. Overall, it was a nice experience to have once, but it wasn't memorable enough to make me want to come back. After all, you go to a buffet for quantity, not quality.

Went back again after a 5-star-worthy visit the first time!…read more Once again this place blew me away! This time I went with my mom and her boyfriend and we all loved the food and left with our bellies full! Our server was very attentive to us, kept our drinks filled, cleared our table of dirty plates quickly, and didn't make us feel rushed or pressured at all. We were disappointed to see that there was no soft shell crab, honey-coconut shrimp, or egg custard dim sum (all of which were present during my first visit and I was looking forward to) but given how wonderful everything else was, it wasn't a big deal The building was still crowded even though we went on a Tuesday evening, but I hear on weekends the line can be out the door so in comparison to that it sounds like we avoided most of the crowd. There were consistently workers keeping the food stocked and the building clean aswell. Despite the mild disappointment of my second visit, I'll still be returning and continuing to recommend this place to friends and family :)

We were there on a Monday at about 4 p.m.. I was very disappointed to find no whole Maine lobsters, the reason for me taking her there. They changed the policy to weekends and holidays only for the whole lobster. Granted they still had lobster, but as a Ginger Scallion Stirfry dish. The lobster was cut into small pieces, which were overcooked and tough and dry. The sauce makes it much messier to eat. I didn't care for it at all. The huge jumbo crabs I'd seen on my previous visit, on this visit were very small. I was rather embarrassed, as I'd talked it up so much to my sister and I promised to take her there for her birthday. I was sorry she did not get to experience the same experience I'd had a month before. Yes, there are still many options to choose from. That was not the issue. When you have expectations of something and are letdown, that's a disappointment. The food was still pretty good.
