Our server Nicky was so helpful! We had a big family get together, so there was three tables of jovial bliss. Such a variety of food! So many kinds of soups! I enjoyed the mushroom soup. I took just a spoonful of it because I didn't wanna try different things. They have a crème brûlée French toast that a lot of people rave about and I will say... Without a doubt, it was magnificent and delicious and so fresh! I did have a salad and it was very colorful and my whole family really enjoyed their meal here. Thanks for all the hard work and people. From seed manufacturers is all the way to the farmers and receptionist to answer the phone and the people that drive the food all around. Countless kind people! Thanks to the chefs, the preparation team, & all the servers! Everyone worked so hard and the day went marvelously. You nourished lots of people and I'm so grateful. Thank you for your kindness.

How does a gorgeous restaurant offer an even more stunning buffet and make everything feel elegant... welcome to Hershey Farm Resort. We stopped for lunch after touring Sight & Sound Theater. The seating is large family style tables because they generally appeal to large groups. Everything was elegant. Floor to ceiling windows, wood accents everywhere to bring the modern farm feel, but everything extremely contemporary and clean. The buffet has EVERYTHING! With four hot food lines, a salad island, a dessert island, a made-to-order grill, you can literally get food that appeals to everyone. Again being in Lancaster, I had to focus on some Amish classics. Shoo Fly Pie was phenomenal and definitely goes well with a dollop of Vanilla Ice Cream. Ham Balls were reminiscent of my grandmother's ham loaf, except these came with a delicious honey sauce. Amish Fillings is a fresher, fuller version of you standard stuffing. Large pieces of soft bread - I'd consider a perfect adaptation of stuffing and bread pudding together. The staff was extremely attentive. Filling drinks and clearing plates with precision. You enter feeling overwhelmed and you leave feeling very full.

Oh my! This is the best buffet I have ever been to. So clean, fresh food, beautiful atmosphere, and the staff were so friendly. I can't think of anything they didn't have on the buffet. Huge salad bar, bread bar, soups, steamed shrimp. Tons of main entrees, veggies, pastas, and a 4 sided array of desserts. The black raspberry soft serve was amazing. They also have a grill that has burgers, tacos, and other restaurant like foods. The price is very reasonable. Perfect for eating one big meal in the middle of the afternoon. Could've eaten there every day! Don't miss out on a great meal here! There is also a nice, inexpensive store next door.

"Sweeter than a Hershey Kiss Come, be my dessert " (Britney Spears) Picture a dessert bar, salad bar, soup bar, carving station, a made to order counter, and what feels like half a mile of buffet trays--because that's exactly what $41.99 gets an adult for a Saturday night dinner at Hershey Farm's Grand Smorgasbord. Oh, I forgot to mention that everything is AYCE. We just had a fantastic group dinner here, and as I watched my tablemates go up for plate after plate after plate, it became apparent that we were having a sensational experience. I started off with a cup of their chili as my base, added in spoonfuls of cheese and mushrooms from their salad bar, and garnished the whole thing with a few tortilla chips. Yes, it was great. Next, I went to their made-to-order counter (The Grille) and ordered a crab cake. It was delicious, stacked with crabmeat with a crunchy breadcrumb filling. Round #1 for me was greens from the salad bar, seven shell-on shrimp, and a piece of fried chicken. The fried chicken was the clear winner of this round- it was juicy, crunchy, tender, and pretty much 100% magnificent. Round #2 for me was a hunk of meatloaf, some rice, and a scoop of Orange Chicken. No clear winner here -both were very good. I finished off my night of gluttony with a slice of sugar free cherry pie that sure tasted like the real deal. Our dinner included pitchers of water, lemonade, and iced tea on our table. AYCD soft drinks will add $4.99 to your bill. The dining room is very spacious and gorgeous, the buffet tables are spacious and not crowded, and the service was amazing as plates were cleared at the speed of light. For a once in a while "cheat" meal, you'll be happy as a clam here!

I've come here a few times in the past .... The main reason is that it is next to Sight and Sound so it is convenient. It also has a store next door and a little park with games for the kids..... food was always mediocre but since we always came for lunch it was ok because our 2 kids ate free at lunch time . For the first time we decided to go for dinner. Kids don't eat free for dinner but because they advertise " carving station" like in this picture we decided to go. When we arrived they had a lousy piece of ham and they said that they don't have the steak shown on the picture everyday, only on Saturdays. That is not written anywhere ! When I told them that I was disappointed they lied to my face saying that their webpage said that. I am including what it shows online and it does say anything. So for me there is only one thing worst than lousy food and that is lousy food by a deceiving restaurant. Stay away from this place !

On my way to Sight & Sound Ronk Pa., stopped over at Hershey farm resort and restaurant. Haven't been here since the big fire in 2023 of January. Totally new look, Fantastic stores and shops, prices are pretty reasonable for clothing and yes men there's some clothing items for us. The bake shop is directly across from the main store with delicious bread, pies, honey etc.All staff members are very welcoming. The Grand smorgasbord.is located in this area also. With many culinary dishes to try. They also have just directly across from the Grand Smorgasbord a large dining facility that seats at 125 people which was the size of our group. Everything was served family style with potato salad, coleslaw mashed potato, string beans corn stuffing fried chicken roast beef and ham, hot rolls, sweet ice tea, all you have to do is ask your server for more of whatever you want and they bring it out by the platters or bowls. To top it off we had apple pie with fresh churned ice cream ,shoofly pie and marble cake. The food was excellent though the string beans needed salt. Also the hotel area has access to everything without having to go outside. I stayed here before the fire of 2023, and it was great so I'm looking forward to returning very soon for a weekend visit. I wish I could give it more than 5's.

4.5 stars.....This resort has the most comfortable bed I've ever had at a hotel! The free huge breakfast buffet, animal barn, beautiful lake, plentiful parking, clean rooms, friendly staff, nice stores, and fresh baked goods are all amazing. My only reason for not giving 5 stars is that there is no elevator to get bags to the 2nd floor. I had to carry my family's 7 bags up a flight of stairs. Be sure to book 8 months in advance.

We arrived about 49 minutes before they closed on a Friday night .... Our server was extremely friendly and attentive. However we felt rushed - they were putting food away as ppl were still eating (not just our party). Some of the food wasn't the hottest. However there were lots of options. The resort was redone in summer 2024 - so everything is new

It was our annual tradition for Easter weekend to have dinner here when in the area. We haven't been back since the fire and came back today. While it looks beautiful and new, we really miss the country vibe of Hershey Restaurant before the fire. This place reminded me of IKEA dining room. The food was still delicious and the service as impeccable as always. The prime rib was absolutely delicious. I also enjoyed muscles and shrimp. We miss the old restaurant though, this place is not the same.

If you're looking for a hearty meal at a reasonable price, this place is hard to beat. A few highlights from our visit: The buffet is the best value, offering unlimited access to a wide variety of freshly prepared dishes. Both hot and cold buffet options are available, so there's something for everyone. Dessert is included and features options like pie and soft serve ice cream. The food tasted fresh, homemade, and consistently well-stocked. We left incredibly full and satisfied. Other things worth noting: Plenty of parking available in the rear lot. Clean and well-maintained bathrooms. Friendly, attentive service throughout the meal. Despite arriving with a party of five, we were seated in about 10 minutes. Overall, Dienner's delivers exactly what you'd hope for from a Pennsylvania Dutch buffet: fresh comfort food, generous portions, great service, and excellent value. Whether you're visiting the Lancaster area or finishing up an Amish tour, it's a great place to sit down for a filling meal. I'd happily return on a future trip.

The staff here was attentive, and I appreciated that they spoke and understood English well. Unfortunately, our experience at checkout left a bad impression. One of the Chinese waitresses was unnecessarily rude and more focused on proving she was right than calmly explaining the situation, so minus one star. The food itself was pretty standard, with limited sashimi and hibachi options, so minus another star. I was wondering how it compared to Charm City Buffet, which I have been to several times. I assumed that it would be about the same, if not a tad bit worse, because it's smaller than Charm City Buffet. I am pleased to say that I WAS WRONG. Jeremy, Justin and I all thought that Best Buffet was better. The people cooking the food actually want it to taste good, instead of throwing whatever up on the buffet line thinking quality doesn't matter. I managed to eat two plates of food, which doesn't seem like a lot, but I had some big honkin' portions of meat. Everything was incredible, and I wish I could have unzipped my stomach and continued to eat. The roast pork was so tender and delicious. The spare rib meat came right off the bone and was sticky with that great hoisin-flavored Chinese sauce. The crawfish were spicy. All the Chinese dishes tasted like something you would get at a quality take-away. The sweet and sour chicken nuggets were crispy, and you get to sauce them yourself, so they stay that way. Jeremy couldn't get enough of the pepper steak and onions. Justin was the only one to take advantage of the hibachi - which he liked, but said it could use more vegetables to choose from. He would have liked some broccoli and mushrooms. I'm not sure if those things were available over at the salad bar, but if they were I feel like the manager of the buffet should consider moving the salad ingredients closer to the hibachi, so customers realize they have more choice. The shrimp were okay. I think I may be eating them wrong. I don't understand the seasoned coating on the outer shell. I peel off the shell, and thus all the coating, so why is it there? I ate half a dozen of them, though, so don't think I'm going to let my confusion stop me from eating shrimp whenever possible. Sharon, our other friend, wanted to pay for Jeremy and I, but didn't factor in the fact that prices are higher on the weekends and during dinner (she picked the time and day), so I ended up paying for myself because the price for two was already more than she expected to pay. Personally, I thought for the selection of foods, and considering it was dinner, the price of approximately $22 per person wasn't bad. I think this is the reason why she said that she preferred Charm City Buffet (when we paid), though she claimed that she thought the food tasted better at CCB. Her favorite item at Best Buffet was the coconut shrimp (which I regret not trying, but I couldn't fit anything else in my belly). I do wish that there was something seriously chocolatey, like a brownie, on the dessert bar. I tried to soothe my sweet tooth with a slice of cake with chocolate mousse on top, but it just didn't cut it. This is my top buffet choice (for now. There's a new one being remodeled on North Point, behind the mall, that I'm eagerly awaiting). I feel like I could go there every week, try new things each time, and be just as pleased as I was on Sunday.

We decided to visit Bird-in-Hand because we hadn't been there in years, and unfortunately, guess what happened when we all got home? We got sick. Of course, that's always one of the risks you take with a buffet, with so many people handling serving utensils and being around the food all day. That being said, this place really is one of a kind. It is much bigger than it appears from the outside and has a HUGE buffet with an incredible variety of food. For around $31 per person, there are so many options, including fried chicken, peel-and-eat shrimp, warm pie, ice cream, and about five different types of soup. There really is something for everyone. Most of the food we tried was hot, fresh, and delicious. The service was also friendly and pretty decent overall. Our party of three waited about 30 minutes to be seated. While we waited, there was a bar area where guests had the option to sit and enjoy fresh popcorn from a popcorn machine, which was a nice touch. There is parking available, but be prepared to circle around a few times looking for a spot because, once again, this place gets EXTREMELY busy. It's located in a very tourist-heavy area of Pennsylvania, and they host a lot of tour buses, so there are constantly large groups of people coming and going from the time they open until they close. It was loud and crowded, with lots of people and kids running around. If you prefer a quiet, relaxing dining experience, this probably isn't the place for you. I also felt that the bathrooms could use a little TLC. I understand this is an extremely busy restaurant with a constant flow of customers, but they could definitely use some extra attention. So, is it worth the $31 price tag? Personally, I would say no, especially since drinks are not included. For that price, I think beverages should at least be included. Overall, the variety and selection of food are impressive & this buffet definitely has something for everyone. But between the crowds, noise, constant busloads of tourists, and the fact that everyone in my party ended up sick afterward, I'm not sure I would rush back anytime soon.
