I came here on a Saturday afternoon with a party of 8. $39 per person with gratuity tacked on as well (assuming due to our large group) As a value proposition, this place is worth it especially if you're a shellfish lover. Lobsters and crabs were abundant. I learned about this place awhile ago from YouTube of which many gave praises. We frequented many mid level AYCE places like this and we've found that as time goes by, quality degrades with restaurants like this. Now there was a rather long length of time between discovering this place on YouTube and actually visiting this place. I wonder if the praises that were sung about this place were still valid. I would say yes. As previously mentioned, lobsters and crabs were abundant and makes it worth the trip on that alone. As for the other offerings, it was mostly surprisingly good. Don't expect Michelin quality food here. Generally, it's about the quantity BUT the food is pretty good. The sushi/sashimi shocked me a little. AYCE sushi is usually just passable but here, I thought it was pretty good. Everyone in my group loved the quality of the salmon. Other offerings, of which there were many, were pretty good. Standouts were the lamb chops in my opinion. Dessert options wasn't as extensive as the other AYCE places I've frequented but they do the job. Aside from the usual fountain soda options (serves by the restaurant staff) , they had a few fruit drinks and a milk tea option as well as some specialty drinks in a can. Scale 1 to 5. Went back again after a 5-star-worthy visit the first time! Once again this place blew me away! This time I went with my mom and her boyfriend and we all loved the food and left with our bellies full! I don't drive for 2 hours for a buffet unless it's great. I went there on a Saturday and timed my driving so that I get there at opening around 11 am. Don't want to deal with the crowds later on. This place I remember used to be a Toys R Us that I visited years ago. They have done a great job of decorating it. It looks very modern. But after checking out what they have, I ended up eating a lot of other food beside lobsters. All the seafood I found could have been kept hotter on the buffet, as it's lukewarm. Dim sum selections were average. Also they have skewers and grill section which were seasoned nicely. We were extremely disappointed by our experience. We waited over an hour and 20 minutes while multiple parties who arrived after us were seated first, and it became painfully obvious that the issue was the presence of a service dog. A trained service dog is medical equipment protected under the ADA, not a pet or inconvenience. When we spoke to the manager, the response only made the situation worse. There appeared to be a complete disregard and lack of understanding of the Americans with Disabilities Act and the legal protections surrounding service animals. Instead of addressing the discrimination appropriately, we were made to feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. No family should ever be treated differently because of a disability or the need for a service dog. I truly hope the staff and management receive proper ADA education so this does not happen to another person. read more
