After another funeral service informed us they could not help us within 24 hours of funeral. We called Day-Manofsky. Rick Day put together arrangements in less than 24 hours and talked to us about alternatives. For example since our service was small, suggested we not do traditional police escort processional from church to graveside. Made it easier and saved us money. Spence Funeral Service in Canal quoted us price in excess of $6000. Day-Manofsky charged us $2378 for same services. Death of loved one is always hard. We felt like Rick Day treated us with respect, listened to what we wanted, and did not take advantage of us in a situation where we were vulnerable.

Every time I go to my parent's and brother's grave sites as well as those of my Dad's parents who are buried right next to them, they are a mess. My Dad and brother both have stones at the foot of their graves and most of the time you can't even read them due to weeds. The headstones are seldom trimmed around and so I try to do it, but being handicapped it is extremely difficult for me. However when I go to my other grandparents aunts and uncles sites they are trimmed and looking good! When I asked who to complain to, I was told they trim them all the time--yet I go there a LOT and always found the same thing---till I complained! I have been there 2 times since and they have been better--not perfect, but better!
