Long review but hopefully thorough to explain why I will be calling these guys first next time I…read moreneed a repair. My ice maker was broken for the 2nd time in a year and a half. Last company I used was very nice, but it was a hefty bill and it took a handful of days for them to come over, determine what was wrong, then a few more days to order the part. This was also in the summer time when I love having ice in my drinks. This time I sent out what I thought the job required via Yelp to several companies. Larue Mechanical Services was one of the first to respond. On top of that they were able to determine what the likely cause and fix was (basically just replacing it) and give me a total estimate cost of the repair before they came over. Other companies were able to provide me their service fees but their hourly rate would vary depending on the job. This isn't uncommon from what I can tell, but I like the fact that Larue was able to give me what they thought it would cost. I understand not all jobs can work like that as repairs can be more complicated and determined on site, but it was part of why I chose them. They were communicative, got the part ordered asap, and replaced it all in 2-3 days. The repair happened on a Friday, and turns out, there was a small error in replacing it. The new ice maker was just dripping water all over and freezing. I let them know this on a Saturday and, despite being closed, responded that they would have to come back out. They responded to several texts about what to do in the meantime to stop the water from building up any more (again while they were closed on a weekend). They were, unfortunately, swamped all day Monday with emergency calls from the weekend. As much as I wanted my machine repaired, I would not classify it as an emergency either. They were able to come out on Tuesday and get it all fixed up though. The final bill was just a little cheaper that what they previously estimated, which was nice. The final bill was also about significantly cheaper than the last repair I had on this freezer. I am going to call Larue first if I ever have an appliance repair need again (which I am sure is a matter of "when" not "if"). The gentleman who did the repairs also took a little time to give my cats and dogs a little attention to let them know he was a safe visitor, which was very nice to see as well.

Very poor service . Signed up for laundry pick up. They advised to use kitchen garbage bags for…read morethe first 2 pick ups and the I would get " happy nest blue bags". I scheduled a next day pick up and received a text confirmation. A couple of hours later I got a text saying the pick up was cancelled. I called and was told it was a computer glitch and the fixed it. Received another text the pick up was confirmed. I had notes on my file to ring the doorbell for pick up. Next morning at 6 am I revived a text that I was the next pick up. I put 8 bags on my front porch. 2 hours later the guy showed up. Took a picture and left, didn't ring the bell . Did not call. I immediately got a text the driver could not pick up. I called and was advised I had the wrong bags. She checked the picture snd told me I did in fact have the right bags and the driver would be back . He never came back. 2 hours later I called again and was told the did not pick up because not every bad was tied correctly. The said one bag was slit open. It was not. No bag was slit. One bag was gaping at the top but could have been easily secured. Why not take the 7 bags that are tied if only one was open. Customer service advised the driver tried to call He did not. He also didn't ring the bell per my account instructions . Don't use this service. Very sloppy !!
