I'm going from loyal customer here to never coming back. I had slowly stopped coming to the clintonville coin-op when I noticed a decline in their cleanliness shortly after they reopened. I started visiting other laundromats. I came back to give coin-op a try again and I'm disgusted to see they haven't improved their cleaning at all. This is the inside of the first machine I stopped at, 45 minutes into the day's opening, with the attendant chilling at the desk. So I skip the machine and go check some others. Checked at least four other machines. Each one was filthy. Dog hair, lint, gunk, coins, KIBBLE?? I found the cleanest one I could and wiped out the inside as much as I was able (it was still pretty grimy). Honestly I regret doing that wash. When it was over, I ended up just grabbing the 'clean' clothes and the rest of my clothes and putting them back in my car. No idea where I'm going to wash them next, but it's definitely not here. This place really used to be my favorite, but they need to seriously implement some stronger cleaning protocols and follow up on them.

I counted last time I was there (Nov 2025), and 20% of their machines were down. That's 1 in 5 and that is not an exaggeration. So if you go and it looks to only have a few people inside, there's a good chance that every washer will be occupied upon arrival. And the only thing worse than spending my day at a laundromat doing clothes, is spending the same time just standing around waiting to do clothes.

When their machines don't work and eat your money no one wants to do anything about it, I contacted the number for the person who was supposedly who we were supposed to call with any issues, but the woman on the phone complained saying that she couldn't do anything more than what we had done and she suggested trying another machine, she said she was going to call the owner to see if maybe they had some spare change when I told her I wanted the money back for the machine that did not work. She was complaining to me that she did not want to have to walk all the way down here super unprofessional and basically said there was nothing she could do about it. You're offering a service via these machines that do not work, you would think you could do something about that.

The attendant was attentive and helpful and gave valuable advice regarding what size of washer would be a good value and be able to tackle multiple of my loads of laundry in one go. When it came time to empty my washer a kind stranger volunteered to give me a hand because I was wearing my sleeping infant daughter in a sling and awkwardly working around her. So kind. It's busy in here but no one seems grouchy about waiting, and most people will meet my eyes and smile back. I like that there are different washer and dryer types to choose from (there are both front load and top load washers, and some great big and some regular sized) and that the larger machines accept payment from cards. I love that there are live plants inside, what a nice touch! My only note about how the environment could be improved is that it could maybe use a couple more chairs and that the chairs would benefit from someone taking a magic eraser to them. Everything else in here is grunge free and looks very clean and well cared for! It's summer time now and it is a little warm in here, though. There is one fan running near the front to help but fair warning, you'll likely start sweating while you wait for your laundry. Overall I'm having a very pleasant experience and am grateful. The facility was clean and there were staff onsite if you had issues. Although it was crowded and busy, we had no issues finding open machines. The app you use to pay and see your washer and dryer's progress is easy to use. Downsides are that parking is tight, as it's in strip with several other busy businesses and the parking is shared. It would also be helpful if there were more places to sit while your laundry is finishing. I had two young kids with me and ended up sitting them on top of top-loading washers because the one bench in the facility was already in use.

My daughter recently visited this location. She unknowingly had an object in her laundry and only…read morediscovered it after the cycle completed as she was removing her clothes from the machine. She went to her car and the owner came outside, tapped on her window and asked her to come inside. She obliged. Once they were in, he disrespected her by getting in her face and yelling at her saying how she broke the machine. Then demanded she pay $500 dollars to get the machine fixed. She then proceeded to tell him that she wasn't paying for anything, the machine was not broken, it only needed to be reset and that she does not have $500 to just give him on the spot. We do have a court system here! You don't just demand someone pay you money ob the spot! This isn't China! She was visibly upset and crying over the way he was treating her. She then went back to her car, called her boyfriend and told him what had happened (for context, she is black, her boyfriend is white and the owner of the laundromat is asian). She told him that she was not going back in there and that they were not drying their clothes in that facility. Once he got to the laundromat, he went inside and took their clothes out of the machine. The owner didn't say a word to him but screamed and yelled at my daughter like a fool! It kills me because they come over to this country thinking they can disrespect black people and get away with it! Apparently they can with the recent verdict! IYKYK! Boycott this business and all other asian businesses! Stop supporting those who do not value or care about us! Patronize your own! Support your own! When they hurt one of us, they hurt all of us! Show them that without us, there is no them!
