We worked with Jennifer to recreate our basement and I could not have imagined it turning out as well as it did!

But for smaller sales - this might not be the place. I wanted to update my bedroom with a few new pieces. Came with measurements and a floor plan and my designer came up with a really creative way to set up my room. Sounds great - right? It was, until when the furniture was delivered, I discovered my designer had ordered the wrong size dresser/chest unit. It fits in my room but not in the way I thought it could be arranged. I called the store immediately, the designer came to the phone but offered no apologies, no options. It's a custom piece, of course, so I can't return it. But I am deeply disappointed and will not use this particular Ethan Allen again. Buying furniture should be fun - and for the price, their customers should be thrilled with how the room turns out. I can't dump tens of thousands on furniture right now - there will be plenty of business for them over time.

Ordered custom furniture for a new home that was being completed. Unfortunately there was an…read moreexplosion in the home just prior to purchasing it and I was forced to postpone the delivery of my furniture order (had nothing occurred the order would have been able to be delivered on time). This is where Ethan Allen customer service fell apart. Other vendors gladly agreed to hold my orders for many months with no issues due to the unusual unforeseen circumstances Ethan Allen refused to extend the time of holding my furniture frequently citing the terms of the contract that I had signed and that it "wasn't their fault". They wanted to force me to pay outrageous storage fees and to pay for the furniture in full, site unseen. I was forced to secure a unit at a storage facility near the property and have the furniture delivered there. This is still an expense, but much cheaper option than what Ethan Allen was going to charge me for storage. They even had the nerve to not deliver the complete order to the storage facility. They had to make a 2nd delivery to the unit a week later with the missing items. The storage unit is near my new home but is a 200 mile round trip from where I am temporarily living. So I had to travel a total of 400 miles because of their negligence with the delivery. Manager Barbara and salesperson Deborah were absolutely abominable and have zero compassion or customer service skills. I realize what occurred fell outside the parameters of their precious contract, but this was a very unique and unusual situation which required them looking past all that to help out a customer. Shame on Ethan Allen. They represent themselves as a high end store...when you are purchasing. Once the purchase has been finalized their true colors shine through. ** I live in Congers NY. Not sure why is says san francisco.

First, the design questionnaire was excellent - especially for someone like me who doesn't know much about interior design. It was able to identify my design preferences by showing different living rooms and asking which ones were to my liking. In addition, its questions served as a great preparation for the home visit, so Stephanie came well prepared for our meeting. Stephanie was very creative, professional, and helpful throughout the process. When she visited my place, we decided on a design together, in an efficient process, where she was able to translate my needs and preferences to interior design decisions and furniture choices. After two weeks, she assembled a furniture shopping list, within the budget I requested. I purchased all items she suggested. The furniture items were sourced from many furniture stores and I felt she did an excellent job finding items that were beautiful, fit the overall design, and reasonably priced. I get nothing but compliments about my place (even from my Architect friend who is quite stingy with design related complements...). Well done Stephanie! As to the cost-effectiveness of the service - had I done this process myself (even with friends help), I would have surely spent more time, more money, getting worse results. Finally, the service was well structured and transparent. Good stuff overall.

Like most renovations, costs ended up being higher than expected, so we had to make a few adjustments along the way and couldn't implement every single detail exactly as originally designed. That said, we followed Nada's vision as closely as possible--and it really shows. Her design direction, attention to detail, and overall aesthetic elevated our space in a way we wouldn't have been able to achieve on our own. Even with some modifications, the foundation she created carried through beautifully. The process did take some time, but in the end, it was absolutely worth it. We're very happy with how everything is turning out, and you can clearly see her expertise reflected throughout our home. Overall, a great experience and definitely worth the investment.

It has not been easy. Yet, Nathalie has been absolutely amazing working with the spaces we have, adapting to the challenges during the construction phase, and truly working to make our designs authentic to us and our family needs. She has also been extremely flexible about updating our shopping list as we begin to order materials and furniture. I was nervous about the shopping list feature at first, but it has been super easy, and Decorilla checks all pricing and delivery to make sure we get the best deals before any order is placed. This has been a life saver. We are still in the thick of things, however, I am so excited to get to the final results.

From the initial call with Megan, my time with Stephanie (my designer), the shopping service and ultimately, the design outcome of my spaces - I am so happy with the value and service I received. Everyone was super responsive and willing to help. And the most important part... the design! Stephanie took all my parameters in mind (designing around my dog (durable fabrics and rugs), affordability, aesthetic, color preferences, etc.) and came up with the most gorgeous living/dining/entry and bedroom designs. I could have never come up with the design myself and I know she saved me hours of analysis paralysis, shopping, measuring and questioning my own decisions. And on the first try! I had no changes to her initial design. I'm in love and contemplating using them for the rest of the house! Thank you Affordable Interior Design and your team!!

Allison spent a good amount of time learning about us, our interests, our house, our lifestyle, our preferences and was able to quickly to pull together an overall ensemble that reflects who we are. We had been struggling with onesie-twosie choices and purchases without seeing the overall picture of the place. We are so happy with the design that Allison has created for us, within our tight budget. This was the best birthday present to myself. Allison hit the nail on the head and I didn't even know where to put the nail in my apartment! I also like that Allison was available for four more questions after the phone call, because there were a few more items that we needed to confirm.
