Horrible experience, I would STAY AWAY!!!…read more Quick Summary: The office staff is incredibly rude and seems completely untrained in basic customer service. When I tried to speak to a manager about the attitude at the front desk, I was met with hostility instead of help. It is a toxic environment. They also botched my excision. Save yourself the stress and find a dermatology office that actually respects their patients. Also possible excessive fraudulent billing! Full Experience: I regret ever coming here!!! My initial experience should have been a red flag! I was met by a condescending and hostile receptionist when I was initially questioning billing and procedures at the front desk. I was so dissatisfied with the service that I decided to leave. Management ended up giving me a call and apologizing about the experience and was able to accommodate me with Dr. Singh the next day if I wanted to continue. I unfortunately obliged and was met with a botched excision in the aftermath. During this entire process I asked multiple times that my insurance covers the procedure and they stated yes this is an in office visit and it's covered minus copay. Dr. Singh has been kind and probably the only professional there but I have lost confidence since my second surgery which was to revise the initial botched scar excision. My scar has become much bigger and pronounced now! Also have bald spot due to this! I'm really upset!!!! To make matters worse, they are now billing me an excess amount whereas this should be covered by insurance as they also validated. At this point I don't know if they are over-billing and just stiffing the clients!! Seems they even billed me for a 2 minute phone call question with the doctor. During this fiasco I asked to speak with billing manager Debbie whom was extremely rude and unprofessional. Each time I tried explaining the situation, she would constantly talk over me not allowing to get my message across, I told her I would not deal with ever again and to have her direct superior contact me! As of 1 week ago, no one has called yet they keep spamming my phone regarding the fraudulent outstanding balance. I would not send anyone I care about here!!! I'm not sure if the exam rooms were full, but it looked like I was being treated in a storage closet. A broom, boxes, and bottles of mysterious liquid. It also wouldn't hurt to take out the trash. It made me feel concerned that the room was not clean enough to be doing procedures. The numbers outside of the exam rooms were written on Post-Its and that should have been my first clue.

A few weeks later, I returned for Mohs surgery to remove a malignant cancer below my eye. Dr. Mitchell was friendly, efficient, and the entire office ran seamlessly. The procedure was handled with great skill, especially the final suturing, which minimized scarring. It's remarkable that something as serious as skin cancer can be treated so effectively in just a few hours--modern medicine at its best. The doctor did treatment. So far it is working but we are still waiting for the prescription. Upon contacting the pharmacy and the doctor office, I was informed that there is no record of this in the system. Despite following up, I have yet to receive a resolution. Most concerningly, I was told that we might need to wait until following week when the staff returns to the Agoura Hills office. When I pointed out that this requires a five-day wait for necessary medication, the response I received was that will ask the doctor when he is not busy with a patient. Delaying a treatment by nearly a week and no call back regarding the prescription.

The patch would return within a few months. Dr. Maleki did a biopsy and advised it was basal cell carcinoma. He started a Mohs procedure which ended up lasting 6 hours because he couldn't remove it all. It was present in the ear canal and Dr. Maleki referred me to UCLA for a much more invasive procedure. What stands out about Dr. Maleki is not only his patience and care (carefully documenting and photographing each step of the Mohs procedure for the UCLA surgeons to understand), but his 'old school country doctor' approach to everything. He advised I would need daily bandage changes while awaiting the UCLA procedure. And he came in on a Sunday morning, and opened up the office to personally change the bandage for me. People don't believe that such a doctor is still available. He is. And his name is Dr. Maleki

She strikes a great balance of providing information and insight on skin conditions and possible treatments, with a positive manner of sharing that info. I'm not a huge fan of medical visits (who is?!), but Stephanie and her assistants keep it timely and as comfortable as possible. I usually go once a year to have my skin reviewed for changes in moles and other skin features. Recently, several areas were bothering me and they got me in to see Stephanie within a few days' time. On the appointment day I was in and out of there in about 20 minutes and still got my questions answered and minor treatment handled. Stephanie also made sure that a refill prescription was ordered, and I was ready to go back to my afternoon.

The front desk staff also charged me the wrong billing amount to my insurance. They could care less, they would rather you have issues instead of listening to the patient.
