Which they did while it was raining which was pretty impressive. Just as impressive as taking my rake, using said rake, not returning the rake, having it on camera, and two weeks out trying to get said rake back or just financial compensation for it with no results to show. Actions tend to speak louder than words or text messages from Matthew in this case. They also left some pretty deep ruts in my yard from the skid steer loader they were using and communication between Grabill and his crew is lacking. They started cutting up the main trunk when it was not needed as I was going to cut and haul the wood away for my Grandparents since they use it for firewood for the winter and made splitting that wood a bigger hassle. I have no issues with contractors using the tools I leave out, but not returning it is very un-professional and two weeks out of not returning it or financially compensating me for it tells me they have no respect for your property or items on your property. So I guess make sure you have everything put up and double, triple-check your property before you pay them. Maybe then you will have a chance of getting it back. EDIT: So not only did you ghost me for overall for a month about the rake and not return it, you also broke the rake and did not inform me at all. Only reason you contacted me and broke the silence was because you were upset about the one star review while preceding to call me low and getting upset I did not take the other option of just paying for it when you offered two options??? Less than a year later, a big part of one of the "trimmed" trees broke off at the base & crashed on our home's roof, causing major damage. Oh well... C&W came out a few days after I contacted them (once all the home roof repairs were done). Their very fair estimate included removal of the "killer" tree (the one that broke & smashed our house), another ill/dying maple tree, and trimming of the remaining big maple trees surrounding our home. They gave me an estimate of when they'd be able to do the work, and met that time estimate. The crew showed up on time, did an EXCELLENT job of removing the dead/dying trees, and properly trimmed the remaining trees (not just "topping" them). They also took care to not crush my septic leach field in the process. C&W's crew went above & beyond, and did more than was promised. I'd certainly hire them again.
