They have a huge selection of pumpkins and their prices are better than some other farms. The hayride is free and it takes you around the farm. One of our favorite things is seeing the farm animals. They have 2 pigs, several sheep, a cow, several chickens, and a llama. The sheep are really cute. We've never tried the corn maze, but it looks fun! The staff at this farm are so friendly and welcoming! They are wonderful and that's one of the reasons why we come back every year! This farm is great because there's no unnecessary fees, and no large crowds. It feels very down to earth, friendly, and local. The stadium is a great place to visit during the baseball season too where they have fireworks and cold beer as well as live entertainment on weekends.

Now a retired dairy farm, Castle Hill Farm was once the second largest supplier of dairy products in Fairfield County. In spite of the farm's retired status, the Paproski Family work hard to preserve their 100+ acres through continuing the production of hay and corn fields, growing Christmas trees and seasonal vegetables. In addition to their Farm Stand, Castle Hill Farm also has a petting zoo, hayrides, a Sunflower Stroll, a Corn Maze, a Pick-Your-Own Pumpkin Patch, and other various attractions at different times throughout the year. The farm is also available to book for events such as weddings and baby showers. My family and I recently visited Castle Hill Farm to see their Sunflower Stroll. First we stopped off in their farm stand which was filled with all sorts of fresh vegetables such as tomatoes, corn, peppers, squash, cucumbers, and even local honey. We decided to purchase some delicious looking Graffiti Eggplant as well as a handmade candle that had an intoxicating vanilla aroma. Afterwards we headed into the Sunflower Stroll. Our son had so much fun looking at all of the pretty flowers and pointing out all of the bees. Co-owner Stephanie Kearns told us about other things the farm will be offering in the coming months, including hayrides, the pumpkin patch, and other Fall Fun activities. There's a hay bale ride constantly cycling through the farm so you can hop on and off whenever you want, but the orchard is pretty walkable as well. Overall, the apples were sweet and the farm made it a fun and easy experience though I wish they also provided sticks for reaching apples higher up in trees. The corn maze was pretty fun and they have a few sheep to pet. They have several food options including vegan selections and their hard cider was pretty good.

When we arrived, at first the kids were skeptical, but once we were out and about, we realized the Warrup's Farm offered a wide range of different types of pumpkins, gourds and squash that made it really fun to hunt for with the family. Note that they have 2 pumpkin patches. A smaller one on the north side (with a wide variety) and a larger one of your typical orange pumpkin variety on the south side of the entry road. The staff was gracious and friendly. They offered us a cart to help with pumpkin transportation. They also have a convenient parking area.
