Another place that we just happened to pop into. First off, there's loads of boutique and hidden gems off the main strip that offered amazing gifts. The shop is such a cute little space that has loads of amazing pieces. One of a kind to pieces that is a much and staple in everyone's closet. The selection was amazing. We just did a quick browse through which honestly, you could spend some time going through the racks and trying everything on. The lives they had were fun and totally chic. California vibe meets vintage chic with amazing coats and accessories. Really wanted everything there which I'm sure their customers are used to. There were racks and racks of fun pieces for every taste. The jeans selection was great with loads of style. There's something for everyone. There's a parking right out front which helps as street parking is pretty tight. read more

My husband and I both love this spot. We absolutely make sure we visit when in the area. There is a great selection of clothing for us both to shop. I love Men's wear is included. The jewelry, accessories and trinkets are a wonderful addition. This last visit we met three staff and they helped wherever needed; getting a dressing room set up, checking availability of a dress and informing of their Dylan Delivered program. FUN plus - they welcomed our well behaved Daisy inside. We're so happy to have a sweet boutique to shop when we visit SB. read more

I heard about Dylan Star recently from social media influencers and was intrigued to go to this store! They were described as fun, helpful, supportive to women and of course having beautiful clothing. I also saw on IG that they were supporting a non-profit by collecting bras for an underserved population (I can't quite recall all the details but I thought it was a lovely gesture). So I go in today with a bag full of bras to donate and optimism of finding cute work attire. The front is so cute with the seating area! Very welcoming and they have a private parking lot. I walk into the store and am welcomed by a staff member. I tell them I brought bras for the donation and she seemed to have no idea what I was talking about but took them to the back. I then walked around and looked at the amazing collection of clothing (so many styles, colors, patterns, etc.)! Gorgeous store! The staff asked if she could help me find anything in particular and I told her I was looking for work tops/sweaters and saw this influencer post about her recent shopping trip and tagged Dylan Star. The staff had no clue what I was talking about and didn't engage me any further. She essentially dismissed me by walking away and not trying to ask questions or get to know what I was looking for. I was shocked especially considering this store is known for picking out items and dressing you. Where was the charm? The support? The fun? Anything! I was so letdown by this staff who was either untrained, unaware, or just plain too good to help me. I literally left feeling worse than when I came in. I don't want to misrepresent the entirety of the store by giving a 1 or 2 star review but damn do I feel they hardly deserve a 3 star review. read more

For both women and men, this Funk Zone shop has so many specialty gift items. I went in looking for some very specific items, and ended up finding so much more, and even some fun things for myself. On my first visit there were a couple things they did not have, and they asked me leave my contact information to alert me when those items were in the shop. Well, sure enough they did text me soon after letting me know that they had received some of those items I had mentioned, and right before Christmas, it was perfect timing. I heard about Dylan Star from Instagram and I'm so glad I did! I haven't been to the store in person but I worked with Erica to create two Mother's Day gift baskets for my mom and aunt. I know small businesses during this time are struggling, so I thought her idea of creating personalized gift baskets was really fun and unique! She was so patient and worked with me to make sure I was happy with all the items in each basket. Shopped here yesterday. I can't believe how cute the place is for having only opened last week. It's actually inside a hair salon which is such a smart idea. I think the owner knows what she's doing -- very Santa Barbara styles but you can tell the fabric is good quality and the prices were great. Most things were under $100. My dress was $54. I have always had a very hard time shopping for myself. I typically go alone so I don't have anyone to give me an honest opinion. When I found out that Erica was opening this shop I got so excited. Her style has always been on point, cute, and very attractive. Every time I have gone I have always gravitated towards what I'm used to-but then Erica takes over. She had me in 3-4 completely different outfits that I would never have chosen for myself. And the outfits felt good on! I felt comfortable in them physically and mentally. Erica knew what areas of my body I wanted to hide and she knew how to hide them. She was sensitive to that, and that made me love the whole experience even more. I have gone back since and will many times again. I also love the fact that she's always getting new styles and brands so that there will always be new things to try on. When you go in and feel the fabrics, you know you are in the right place.
