Took my 2018 Dodge Charger over to Dynamic Automotive on a recommendation from my Son. Another shop couldn't find the issue with the front end, but their Tech found it and repaired it. I wanted so much for this place to work out. My wife knows one of the company founders and suggested we try them. I have a 2009 car I get checked every other year just to find out priority items to get fixed to keep it running another year or two. I called and told them that was my goal - if it was your car, give me a prioritized list of items that are must fixes. Rep suggested scheduling an oil change and they would do a full inspection. I thought I was dealing with a local shop where I would have a personal relationship/discussion with the guy doing the inspection. Not the case. At drop off there was a guy at a desk who took my keys and I was then emailed a laundry list of items to fix that totaled $7,000. I immediately knew this wasn't what I was looking for - even dealerships do a personal consultation with you explaining the work required and why it is needed and the impact/risk of not getting it done. I declined any service and took to a smaller shop local mechanic who did exactly as I asked - advised me on what he would fix if it was his car - the two urgent items to keep my car healthy. Those two items cost me $1,600 - Dynamic's estimate for those same two items was $4,000. Nice people, but for my use case and way of working, Dynamic was not what I needed. read more

They overcharge for their services! Almost double the cost from other competitors. I was charged $50 labor fees to replace a cabin filter! Absolutely ridiculous and proves they will nickel and dime you whenever they can! read more

Took in a 1991 Miata for an oil change at Dynamic Automotive in New Market, MD. I was 15 minutes early for my appointment, but it took 1.5 hours before they were "done" with my vehicle. When I asked why it was taking so long, I was informed they were doing a "write-up" on the vehicle and that they noticed a leak in the break lines. I told them all I wanted was for them to change the oil. Now, here's where it gets scary. I got in the vehicle, drove 3 minutes and dropped it off with my son (a teenager). He then drives home, but on his way home, the brakes give out. He got home (thank goodness), and I immediately opened the hood and noticed the brake reservoir was completely empty. When I tried to fill it, it just dumped out of the bottom of the vehicle. Now, I want to be clear: This car had been driven for months and had NO ISSUES prior to taking it to Dynamic. Then suddenly, after doing a routine oil change, the brake line completely ruptured -- putting a teenager's life at risk. When I called them up to inform them of everything that happened, I asked them what they were going to do to fix the issue. I was told, by phone, that the rupture had nothing to do with their "service". According to them, it was coincidence. They seemed un-phased that a child's life was put in danger, and the only consolation they offered was to have the car towed back to their facility so that they could assess how much work needed to be done to fix it. Obviously, we would be charged for all of this. I told them I would be willing to have it towed to another, more trust-worthy mechanic -- and asked them if they'd pay for the vehicle to be fixed. His response: "We will not do that." This company is crooked. If you take your vehicle in, be warned that they will fix what you ask them to, but something else on your car will miraculously "break" soon after. The fact that they did this to a brake line tells you how far they're will to go to make a buck. Thank God my son made it home alive. read more

I have gotten my vehicles serviced here for the last 9 months. They are the most real shop I have ever dealt with. Their prices are not the lowest, but between confidence and warranty the difference is well made up for. They take their time with my cars, which I greatly appreciate since I trust them to be my cars doctor and advise me of what I cant see. I saw a previous review about someone complaining after an inspection. If this was a Maryland state inspection that person needs to understand that these technicians only follow the rules that are set forth in front of them by the state. If they have a disagreement with their inspection they should contact Maryland State police. Shame on them for thrashing the shop here. Also , I choose to look at reviwers history and seems that person is just not happy. read more

Customers beware, I took my car here to get inspected and brought it in with no lights on the dash and I get the car back and there's three dash lights on and then on my way home I BLEW A BRAKE LINE, something that they had to be messing with on the inspection. They failed the car for a bunch of petty things that didn't make sense so I took it somewhere else without fixing anything they said was wrong and it passed. But I realized why they failed it so horribly when they handed me a 2,000$ quote to get it through inspection. AND I noticed a huge deep scratch on my drivers door that was definitely not there before. Horrible nightmare of an experience would not recommend read more

We have been a customer at Dynamic Automotive for several months now and must say that I am very pleased with their service. We have both of our cars maintained there and they are professional, polite and have never tried to over sell us. We feel that Dynamic does an excellent job making sure that our cars are always in top running condition. They have been terrific diagnosing noises that other places couldn't figure out. Whenever I call for an appointment, whether it is for a routine oil change or to diagnose some issue we may be experiencing, Sarah and Lee are always able to get us in there in a timely manner. We live just a mile from the shop and sometimes we walk home after dropping off one of our cars, but they always offer to drive us home and, when they do, they pick us up at a convenient time to get our car. read more

I made an appointment online with Dynamic Automotive because I was having some issues with the brakes in my 2015 Honda Accord. I received a confirmation email and brought the car in early Saturday morning. Lee told me that they would give me a call after they took a look at the car. When he called later in the day, he provided me with a complete update on the pads and rotors and left it up to me to decide what I did and did not want to do. I gave them the OK to do the rotors and the rear pads, and they called me later in the day to let me know the car was ready. The brakes work perfectly, the price was fair, the service prompt and courteous, and I would be comfortable recommending them to anyone looking for an auto repair shop. read more
