I started out buying a cheap dept store bike, which blew a tire within a week or two, and was promptly returned. After the cheap bike earned me a 10 mile walk, I decided to go for a more expensive model and looked at a few local bike stores. Not only was Union Cycle the friendliest and most knowledgeable, but they also came in at or below the higher-end chain stores' prices! They've been taking good care of me since then, and seem genuinely interested in how my experiment with biking has been going. For anyone else that's new to biking, I'll offer the advice that dropping a hundred or so more dollars on your bike is well worth it - it's a lot more comfortable, and I haven't been left in a ditch anywhere yet!

When a bike lock won't unlock half the time, that's a problem. Although the lock was made overseas, Dash stood by the customer and refunded my money. THAT IS HOW CUSTOMER SERVICE SHOULD WORK. The first time I've seen it was on the show, The Real Housewives of RI. The weather was chilly and drizzly, but it turned out nice for us at our 5 pm departure. It's kid-friendly, we got to stop at a picnic spot with a fire and beautiful views of the water and the Newport bridge. It was easy but exhilarating; definitely a unique experience and I highly recommend. We booked a week in advance. The check in process was seamless. The ride took about an hour and a half with the stop at the picnic spot (there were bathrooms too). There is a parking lot as well. Yes, we would definitely do it again!

We stopped at the scenic waterfront Bayside Station and there was a s'mores bar available while sitting fireside. The wood-burning fire pits kept us warm. After staying there for about 30 minutes, we pedaled back to the beginning. With the same group, the 4 of us did the Sunday Morning Brunch Tour/Bayside Brunch at 9am in August for $270. The weather was a lot better now than in April. We stopped at the scenic waterfront Bayside Station where we were able to use our 2 tickets for alcoholic drinks like Mimosas, Bellinis, and Bloody Marys. Death Wish Coffee and juice were complimentary. There were also complimentary muffins, danishes, and other pastries and fruit. Adirondack chairs were placed facing the water to enjoy the views. The 6 mile roundtrip tour is always an unforgettable experience. The staff are always very friendly and offer to take pictures to capture the memories. A brief instructional talk is always provided at the beginning and now they have a microphone so everyone can hear. Safety is of utmost importance.

It is withing a mile of my house. We went in on a Wednesday around noon. There were two guys working and both greeted us and one really jumped in to get moving with our needs. He took her bike, popped it up on the bike jack (not sure if that is an official term) and got to work. He gave us a few tips to continue to care for her bikeas well. We were in and out of the store withing 20 minutes and spent $21 on a tire repair. My daughter was thrilled to have her wheels back and I was thrilled it was quick and reasonable! Thanks Blackstone Bicycles! Just a FYI to those really into bikes they sell bikes and all accessories here for bikes! Also at the door they has some cool pamphlets that map out local bike trails around. It also looks like they may have a local group that meets up for bike rides at Lincoln woods
