I started out buying a cheap dept store bike, which blew a tire within a week or two, and was promptly returned. After the cheap bike earned me a 10 mile walk, I decided to go for a more expensive model and looked at a few local bike stores. Not only was Union Cycle the friendliest and most knowledgeable, but they also came in at or below the higher-end chain stores' prices! They've been taking good care of me since then, and seem genuinely interested in how my experiment with biking has been going. For anyone else that's new to biking, I'll offer the advice that dropping a hundred or so more dollars on your bike is well worth it - it's a lot more comfortable, and I haven't been left in a ditch anywhere yet!

When a bike lock won't unlock half the time, that's a problem. Although the lock was made overseas, Dash stood by the customer and refunded my money. THAT IS HOW CUSTOMER SERVICE SHOULD WORK. The staff were all genuinely happy to work despite the rainy day. I personally thought that I wouldn't make the tour as I am not phyisically fit. But the 1st 3 miles were a breeze because most of the time it is going downhill. Then we had brunch- there was an assortment of croissants, muffins, breakfast pastries, coffee, tea and juices. They also provided 2 tickets each/ person for alcohol. No one in our tour drank alcohol as it was too early. The second 3 miles of going back was a tiny bit hard because you are going uphill, but because you are enjoying yourselves too much- you wont even feel the pain. The staff kept on asking if we want our pictures taken. That was constant. You don't have to ask them. They will ask you. This is truly a good experience. I am so glad we did it.

The first time I've seen it was on the show, The Real Housewives of RI. The weather was chilly and drizzly, but it turned out nice for us at our 5 pm departure. It's kid-friendly, we got to stop at a picnic spot with a fire and beautiful views of the water and the Newport bridge. It was easy but exhilarating; definitely a unique experience and I highly recommend. We booked a week in advance. The check in process was seamless. The ride took about an hour and a half with the stop at the picnic spot (there were bathrooms too). There is a parking lot as well. Yes, we would definitely do it again!

It is withing a mile of my house. We went in on a Wednesday around noon. There were two guys working and both greeted us and one really jumped in to get moving with our needs. He took her bike, popped it up on the bike jack (not sure if that is an official term) and got to work. He gave us a few tips to continue to care for her bikeas well. We were in and out of the store withing 20 minutes and spent $21 on a tire repair. My daughter was thrilled to have her wheels back and I was thrilled it was quick and reasonable! Thanks Blackstone Bicycles! Just a FYI to those really into bikes they sell bikes and all accessories here for bikes! After several visits, a call to Trek Corporate, over 5 weeks, and a talk with the manager, I was able to get that problem, as well as the shifting problem and rotor centering problem worked on. We are located at the start of the East Bay bike path in downtown Providence (between the Hot Club and Trader Joe's) & 2 blocks from the India Point park where the bike path starts. We have Lectric straight bars and step-thru's 3.0’s and 2.0's. Leg/foot clearing distance is the only variable on the Lectric's. The Step-thru's are the lowest and the Straight bar is 4-5 inches higher. I am 6'2" and ride all of the bikes. They all have cool accessories. Think of a rental as a "try before you buy". E-bikes extend where you can go.

Hired Bill for trips to and from Logan airport and could not be happier with the caliber of…read moreservice. Bill was early for pickup to Logan and super nice on the way there, making the ride enjoyable. The brand new van offered a very comfortable, smooth and quiet ride and we had plenty of time to spare at the airport. Before departures Bill even offered a courtesy check to make sure we had all the important items like passport, wallet, phone etc. Arriving home, our driver Tony communicated his ETA and called us to confirm the precise pickup point even down to the inch. Tony was so nice and we had good conversation with him and again the van was super comfortable and clean. Tony even helped carry suitcases directly to the door. I appreciated that both Bill and Tony communicated multiple times in text with confirmations, ETAs etc. Sent photos of the vans well in advance with license plates which was a really nice touch, so that we knew exactly what vehicle to look for. Bill and Tony easily accommodated an itinerary with multiple stops which made our lives SO much easier and saved us from unnecessary driving and coordination. Everything was done via text/phone which is way better than dealing with a clunky website or corporate office. Price was very reasonable and very well worth it for the level of professionalism you get. We will be booking with Bill's Transportation Services in the future for sure.
