First time here as I just moved here about 5 months ago. This dentist office has the sweetest employees ever. I got a goody bag and the front desk came from behind the desk to make sure I was ok and comfortable. Going back the assistant Alayna was super nice and gave me a tour. I told her about the issues I've been having and she was just very helpful and listened to everything I said or asked. The dentist Dr.Bains was also super nice. She came in checked everything out and explained everything in great detail and if I had any questions she answered them. She referred me to a surgeon and also gave me prices and dates for their surgeon. I will definitely be back !!!! Terrible place!!!) Went in for a small filling or extraction was farmed out across town to edinologist for a photo that cost me $150.00 dynamic even blew up my phone with a survey as I'm walking to my car after x ray consultation????? Thats how they get high survey rating 5 stars? Total cost for extraction is $300 with signa insurance still gotta month to go for tooth extraction appt!( Over 2 month wait? ) Walking around with halotosis for over 2 months is not kool this is a 5 star dentistsry service??? Friendly, efficient, highly skilled and budget friendly. I've been to many a dental practice in 77 years and I finally found the best in Show low, Arizona. My husband and I were over due for a cleaning and some dental work. Swollen gums got us looking for a dentist at our summer home location. What a pleasant surprise Dynamic Dentistry was. They got us in quickly and took care of everything at a lower price than our Phoenix area dentist was going to charge. Long story short. They are the worst dental office on the mountain. Price gouging like crazy. Then had the audacity to blame the insurance company for the prices being charged. I called the insurance to confirm they were liars. I had two visits barley over an hour for each one. The hourly rate was $437.00 dollars for my visits. It was a basic teeth cleaning. I called and asked why teeth were charging so much and now they won't accept my business anymore because of it. My mouth still hurts where they gave me a numbness shot. And is bleeding from time to time. It's been over a week. read more

Very friendly staff, got in and out quickly. Going back for Veterans Day tomorrow to have a tooth extracted. Also going to find out if they work with my dental benefits as I would like to make this my dentist of choice. Dr. Farr was recommended to me by the late Dr. Peiser. She is excellent. Her hygienist Wilcita came over to Dynamic Dentistry when Dr. Peiser retired. She is by far the best dental hygienist I've ever had. She really takes her time and gets it done right. I was stuck back in New Jersey for three years, and the hygienist there was a very nice person, but she did her job too quickly. Wilcita had her work cut out for her when I got back home and got to go to Dynamic Dentistry again. It took nearly an hour to do X-rays and a thorough cleaning. I could really feel the difference. Just got back from my new dentist. He informed me that my tooth extraction done by Dynamic Dentistry, in Show Low, did extract my tooth, but left one of the roots behind. This is one of the many reasons I changed dentists. They never listened to what I told them. All they cared about was trying to sell me one thing of another that I didn't need or want. My daughter split a tooth lengthwise last weekend. It looked really bad and was causing her pain. I called our regular dentist on Monday and got a recording that they were out of the office this entire week, but I could leave a message for an emergency. I left a message about her split tooth and a question about our insurance and waited for a call back. Local cell phones were down that day, so I didn't get the message until almost 3pm. They said they were not contracted with my insurance and that they were out of the office for the week, but I could call to set something up for when they got back. I didn't want my daughter to wait that long. I called another dentist from my insurance list. They couldn't see a new patient for weeks, they said. So, I called Dynamic Dentistry. The receptionist (Savanna) was very nice and said of course they were accepting new patients. I asked how soon they could get her in. She put me on hold and then came back on, apologizing that it looked like the soonest opening they had was on Wednesday morning. Less than two days to see a new patient? I was very happy with that. She got my insurance info over the phone and said she would see us on Wednesday. A few minutes later, I got a call back. Savanna had talked to Dr. Farr and she didn't want to wait that long. She wanted to squeeze us in the next morning instead. I was pretty amazed that she cared that much about seeing a new patient. We went in on Tuesday morning. The office is really nice and they had a heater in the waiting room. Savanna asked me to have a seat and then walked the paperwork out to me and went over it while I sat down, then she brought us bottled water. They x-rayed my daughter's tooth and let me know it was one of her last remaining baby teeth. (Yay! I thought they were all out.) Dr. Farr came over and talked to my daughter. She said the tooth was a bit loose now and needed to come out. She asked my daughter if she would like to have it pulled or pull it herself. I was all for having it pulled and being done with it, but my daughter wanted to do it herself. So they gave her an "extraction kit" with some numbing gel, gauze, and a cute little "tooth saver" necklace. Dr. Farr said to set up an appointment for two weeks to pull the tooth if my daughter couldn't do it herself. We could just cancel if she did. She got it out that night with the help of the numbing gel. I was so impressed with Dr. Farr and her office that I decided to have the entire family see her from now on. We were able to set up appointments to have our teeth cleaned on my next days off from school. I really can't say enough about how great Dr. Farr was and how professional and courteous her staff is. But Dr. Carpenter made my extractions completely painless, explained everything, went over my x-rays with me, got me in within 2 days of finding the infection, broke down the payment options and had a genuinely refreshing personality and professionalism about him. I went to Dynamic Dental a month ago. To their credit they got me in on a Friday when no one else was open. Although the work was hurried and a bunch of cement had to be dug out of my back teeth by the next dentist, they put my inlay back in; I thought they were great. I wanted to get some tooth whitener on my way out. They gave me two cartons that look like they had been packaged at the practice. No instructions. I got home and put it in my dental trays and put it on. Never changed the shade of my teeth to whiter at all. I think they package the stuff and then it sits there for years. Anyway it didn't work and it was $100 for two little bitty syringes. I took it back hoping they would replace it or something. No chance. The whole staff had to talk to me. All of the front office and one of the back office ladies were extremely condescending, nasty and arrogant. They were really atrocious. Funny, because three weeks before they been wonderful when they were taking my money. When it came to giving up some money or service they were I was nasty as a pack of wild dogs. You might want to go to one of the more established dental practices; I did, and was treated really well, with respect; and had a lump of glue dug out of my mouth that Dr. Farr had left behind. Dr. Farr and her crew were amazing with my husband He has a true phobia of the dentist and she was so patient and kind with him. After a trial run to our appt on a Monday with 15mg of Valium on board as well as partial numbing done to extract one tooth, Dr. Farr changed his plan to have the tooth extracted by an oral surgeon that comes to her office once a month. She wasn't messing around. She didn't give him a hard time and was so kind to him throughout the whole experience. She even hugged him to comfort him since he was embarrassed that he couldn't control his fear. The front office staff were amazing as well greeting us with a smile and checking on me while I waited. A special shout out goes to Geri-his tech (I think that is her name). She reminded my husband of one of our long time friends and really made him feel safe and taken care of. Going to the dentist part II Yeah, after I had the crown, things got better for a time but the problem came back with a vengeance. I woke on a Thursday morning about 8 weeks after the crown. I was in some pain but didn't think it was that bad. I downed a couple of pain pills and nothing. By 9 at night i was going crazy with pain. I went to bed but didn't sleep a wink. I got up a 6 and sat by the phone until the dentist opened. They were not able to do anything but prescribe some antibiotics. That really helped. I saw the dentist on Monday but was told that the swelling and infection was still to active to do anything and was told to come back Thursday for the extraction. I did and it all went so painless. I said on my last review that I hoped to never go back but I was glad that I had Dynamic Dentistry to go to. Great job!!!! read more

Well sad to say the friendly service was not enough to mask the fact that they do constantly try to upsell you for services and extra cleanings that insurance does not cover! I read that in other reviews but did not believe it, then they tried to talk me into expensive laser treatment...nope! Then the last straw, one of the many "doctors" that I have had come inspect after a cleaning tried claiming I had a cavity that needed fixing. I had no pain or discomfort so I was skeptical...so much so that I went to my old dentist for a second opinion. Sure enough, he confirmed my fears...no cavity and no need for extra cleanings. I had an excellent experience with Dr. Carpenter at Dynamic Dentistry AZ. The staff was very friendly and thoughtful throughout the whole experience. I was visiting from out of town and had a molar crack. So I started calling around to see what dentist could get me in for an emergency molar extraction. Dynamic Dentistry was able to get me in within an hour of my call. They worked calmly with me and communicated clearly. I advised them that I have an extreme fear of the dentist, so again they were very careful to keep me calm and comfortable. The extraction was a bit more difficult than was anticipated so it ended up being oral surgery for a few hours. The staff called my sisters to keep them updated on how the procedure was going. Dr. Carpenter did a fantastic job. They followed up with me the next day to see how all was going. Everything went off without a hitch. I would definitely recommend Dynamic Dentistry. Proceed with caution! I scheduled an initial appointment for an annual checkup and cleaning with Dynamic Dentistry. On my first visit, while in the chair and ready for my cleaning, I was presented a recommended treatment for scaling in addition to the cleaning and was told it would be approx $75 out of pocket in addition to billing my insurance company. I was very surprised that my insurance company was billed $384. In addition, I was required to pay a copay (I never have had to pay a copay for a cleaning and was required to do so due to the additional treatment which was not disclosed until receiving their statement) and the amount I was billed for the proceedure exceeded their contracted amount with the insurance company (which I was later credited). Upon receipt of the statement I called their office to discuss the additional charges and was told that I was presented with the charges while in the chair as "everybody is presented the cost before service is rendered. When I challenged that I was not presented the charges, just the added treatment and the difference in cost, I was told the same thing again by the billing person. What is interesting, I offered to pay when I was finished with the procedure and was told they weren't able to process my charges at that moment and would bill me. I agree with Jim H. Something is going on with that office regarding billing practices. I have been asking for over a week now, as to what is the contracted amount that my insurance plan with pay for a periodontal maintenance cleaning. I am sure the initial amount they quoted me exceeds the contracted amount. Dynamic Dentistry has been evasive in answering the questions and never provided me information on the contracted amount for the procedure. Needless to say I cancelled my appointment with them and will find a Dentist I can trust. read more

Dynamic Dentistry after decades of bad experiences has finally been the Dentist office I will have for the rest of my life. I've been gun-shy about going to ANY dentist and in fact I have a severe anxiety issue because of it. Dr. Farr was WAY MORE than sincerely patient with me. I did NOT get the angry impatient Dr. after trying to deal with me and my severe anxiety. She and her staff took extremely good care of me. They were ALL patient and encouraging and I would definitely refer Dr. Farr and her staff. You won't regret it! read more

This is the worst Dentist office I have ever been to. First off, take a look at your bill as I was charged for services I did not even receive. The Hygienist was more concerned looking for opportunities for upselling services such as Perio Scaling, Root Planning, and Gingival Laser treatment, that come at a hefty out of pocket cost not covered by insurance, than she was cleaning my teeth. In fact, during the cleaning she was very rough, and not in doing a thorough cleaning, but grabbing and poking unnecessarily, and at one point pumped so much water in my mouth we had to stop as I was choking, and at another point she had jammed a dental tool so far back in my mouth tears were running down my face. Afterward, ensued her pressuring me to make a follow-up appointment for these services.The Dentist (who I am not completely sure was an actual Dentist) came in and followed suit recommending major dental procedures that come with a hefty out of pocket cost without even viewing x-rays (they were taken after!). To me, this is blatant malpractice! During my visit, the Billing Specialist presented me three Proposed Treatment Plans all with different pricing for the same proposed treatment. I truly believe that this Dentistry is just concerned with inflating treatment in order to pad production numbers, or there is a bonus opportunity the staff is trying to obtain from exceeding a predefined production goal. Once the staff caught on that I wasn't going to schedule a follow-up for these ridiculous unneeded procedures they became short and dismissive shuttling me out of the office as fast as possible. I am completely taken back by the blatant up-selling and unprofessionalism of this dentistry staff and feel as if I was completely ripped-off as my cleaning was sub-standard. I honestly have no faith in the diagnoses from the hygienist, the other gentleman claiming to be a Dentist or any faith that the billing practices are ethical and of standard. I put my trust in this Dentistry office to provide appropriate treatment, and that trust has been violated. Now keep in mind, in two visits I was charged erroneously for services I didn't have, upsold for a treatment that I have no faith that is needed, and forced to see some man that I am not convinced even is a Dentist. I have formally complained to this office and may seek more formal avenues for redress. read more
