I love this gym so much! The coaches are so supportive and easily get to know you. It's women-only, which takes away a lot of the anxiety of going to the gym for me. Workouts are posted each Sunday for the week, so you can know what you're in for. They also often host fun events, like a rope-climbing workshop or running clinic. Farmgirl fit is outstanding. The gals there make you sweat! It's a typical "cross fit" type of circuit workout. However, what sets them apart from the rest is that they are a women only environment. This is awesome for me because I get intimidated at gyms fairly easily. I'm not in the best shape (round, I'm told is still a shape:) ) and I have wobbly bits and bits that continue moving when I stop. I'm self conscience. Here that doesn't bother anyone!! All different women from all walks of life with all sorts of shapes can come here and get their workout on! A typical routine consists of kettle bells swings, side lunges, burpees (aka the devil), ring swings, running/rowing, and wall balls. As you workout, you use your body weight against yourself. It's called plyometrics! These women here are an inspiration and someday I'll be able to do it as well as they can!! read more

I can't say enough good things about Farmgirlfit. I attended my first class over two years ago. The energy and positivity of the coaches had me hooked from day one. The non-competitive, always-encouraging group of women members made me want to keep coming back (even on days I didn't really want to workout!) The resilience of this community through everything 2020 has thrown at us is what has really made this feel like home. Amazing. I have been going to farmgirl for about a month. I am already stronger and feel better about myself and body day to day. It's a tough workout, but so worth it. I never thought I would like a cross fit gym but this is my favorite gym. Work outs are challenging but I never feel like I am watching the clock for it to be over. In just three classes I already feel a change in my energy levels and toning over all. The trainers explain the workouts well to newbies and provide modifications so I don't feel bad for listing a pvc pipe in place of a large weight. Additionally the price is only slightly more than I would pay for a chain 24 hour gym making this an excellent value. read more

I absolutely love this gym experience. I have never been stronger or healthier than when I started going. I used to be very intimidated by gyms and working out, especially with weights, but the trainers here make you feel like you're a friend and the other women are all so supportive. They also have child care available. I can't recommend this place enough, and wish I could transport this gym and all the trainers to Portland when I move!!! read more
