I get it, it's a big change for his routine and also exciting getting to play with new friends. However, I was lied to by his therapist Cole. Cole told me "he did very good he only has a few noodles left". Awesome right? Especially since I pointed out in our evaluation I wanted a goal to be for him to sit still and use his fork and spoon. I also packed him 2 bottles of water plus water in his sippy cup. When I get home and open his lunch box everything that I packed was still there besides a bag of popcorn and pudding cup. And at pick up I also noticed his sippy cup was half full and the 2 water bottles were still there. I thought hmm maybe they have a water fountain and refilled it. But now that I think of it he might not have drunken anything all day. Like I said earlier I get it big day big change. Everyone is still getting to know each other. What concerned me was the fact that I was lied to. Why not just be honest and say "Hey we had a big day and he didn't really want to eat." I wouldn't have been upset at all, I'm very understanding. We didn't feel comfortable continuing services because we just started thinking of what else could they lie about? Tiffany gave me a call back and told me it was me who misunderstood Cole. Cole supposedly said "he only ate a few noodles." She kept cutting me off with "sorry for the misunderstanding" "you misunderstood" Now why would I make all this up? Why would I stop services for my son when I know he really needs them and would benefit greatly from it? Why would I go through the whole evaluation process and paperwork, make people interview us and take time out of their day just for me to go "hey I know what Im going to do today, I'm going to make up a lie and stop services for my son" Tiffany good job at keeping it professional and not even giving me a chance to speak my concerns. I hope you cutting me off made you feel better because you obviously needed to feel superior in the situation and the ego boost.

She has consistently been going TPT for Speech and it's been like night and day with her. The amount of progress that they have made are leaps and bounds. Wynter later began her PT and the support that we have received has been above and beyond. Bri has been instrumental in bridging the gap often experienced with parents and getting the support they need for their child. She additionally, was able to identify the brace support my child would benefit from and we implemented that and doing so my child can run with minimal falls. Recently, we added OT and that has been yet another enormous support for my kiddo and her sensitivities. I love these therapist and the office staff like their family. This school has been such a haven for both of my kids. I have a 4 year old autistic son who goes to…read moreSCI in the afternoon after his ABA therapy at SPBS (also amazing place) and my daughter (his twin) who cognitively is fine but had a stroke which caused her left-sided hemiplegia goes there all day. The teachers, supervisors, techs and even the front-desk are absolutely wonderful-always smiling and positive and the classes are small, which I love because the kids are able to get so much attention and support that you could never get at public schools. Then they add in individual programs for the kids to work on after completing intake testing and it makes for such an incredible place that challenges each student to learn at their best ability while giving them great socialization at the same time. My son is able to learn preschool basics while also working through some of his behaviors. Just like at the SPBS clinic, the staff records all program data results in real time on their iPads so they can always track a child's progress and readjust when necessary. Even for my daughter, not only is she learning to read but the school worked with her outside OT to find out exercises and strategies that they could incorporate into her daily routine to help encourage the use of her right hand. They also have peer students to make sure that students have exposure to kids without any behavior or developmental issues. The students learn about different places each week, make fun crafts, have show and tell plus other various fun activities such as going to the park, playground games, yoga and obstacle courses. The school even works on skills such as sharing, taking turns, getting someone's attention, waiting, responding, table manners, etc. As a parent, you also are able to join ClassDojo to get pictures and videos of the kids working on things throughout the week, which makes my day to get to see. Lastly, they care so much about ensuring the success of their students that they voluntarily assist with their MET meetings and future placement. I only wish we could keep our kids here for longer!
