Having to get your car fixed is always a scary prospect usually due to how expensive it is. Well, when I started doing research on where to take my car when I first started having transmission issues. I mean, I read a gazillion reviews on various websites, reached out to several mechanic friends and their friends shops and felt like I did my due diligence before picking Dyno-Trans. Boy am I glad I did! They were great. First, I had taken my car up there after the light originally came on. Prior to this, I did have a friend run a transmission code scanner on it and it wasn't good news, but he had reset the code. So when I took it up there to Dyno-Trans, they took it for a drive, but to my shock, couldn't find anything wrong with it. I mean, they could've easily told me that first day that I needed a new tranny and I wouldn't have known the difference. But instead, Steve called me and told me that they couldn't find anything. That day I knew that I had picked a great place! Honesty is everything! He did recommend getting a flush, which I thought was a good idea as well and told them to go ahead and do it. Well, not even a week later, my car started chugging up hills again and my light came back on. I called Steve again and he said to bring it back up and then he delivered the bad news. I needed a new tranny. He deducted what I had paid for the flush from my total for a new replacement tranny and even gave us a cash discount, for which we were appreciative. It was still expensive, but a better price and warranty than several other places that I had called, some even being friend's shops. They were very communicative and answered my ten million questions throughout the whole process and got my car back up and running in a little over a day! Highly recommend this place for their honesty and integrity! I feel like that's very hard to find in today's society, especially when it comes to car issues. It's been a few weeks since the repair and she's running like a champ! No more chugging up hills for me! Thanks Steve and Dyno-Trans! Our Dodge 2500 truck had a major leak from the transmission. Our trusted and honest mechanic Mike Smith has always recommended Dyno-Trans for transmission work- so we took it to Steve to try to find the leak. After several days Steve said "he hoped he had found the only leak" and we drove it home. Within a few days the transmission fluid was all leaked out again, so we took it back to Steve. He kept the truck for about a week and when we returned to pick it up he refused to charge us anything. He had to buy a part costing more than $100, which got broken - so he had to buy that part again, and still he refused any payment from us. He said "I just want your business the next time!". The guys here are stellar. They don't string you along. If they replace your transmission (they have replaced several in different work trucks for me) and something goes wrong they will say if it was something on their end and fix it for free. We have a small truck that has been a problem and Steve doesn't hesitate to help out and get things done quickly, even when I tell him he can put others in front because I can wait. I have found this establishment through Yelp. To my surprise, Steve the owner, didn't charge for diagnostic test. I have an 2008 Acura TL with 277k miles and thought it was a transmission problem from my previous mechanic but Steve told me it wasn't the transmission. He replaced engine amounts and axel assembly. Even with the repairs, I STILL felt a shudder from the 2nd to 3rd gear on low RPM, BUT it wasn't as bad as before. Not too sure what or how it can be fix completely but at this point, I will just live with it. Steve went above and beyond with my repairs. Jeremy was extremely helpful. I needed the wedge pin/cotter pin/wedge bolt removed from the striking lever in the tailshaft of my Datsun 620 transmission. After Nissan said they couldnt do it, I stopped by Dyno-Trans. Jeremy grabbed the tailshaft and said "follow me" he then proceeded to pry it out which proved unsuccessful. We discussed that another option would be to drill a hole big enough for a punch to fit so he could drive the pin out. He got to work and in a couple minutes he had the pin out. Jeremy also installed the striking rod seal and O-ring. He then tapped the hole and plugged it. The last thing that Jeremy did was clean it in their huge "dishwasher". He walked me through every step he took to get the job done, which was great. Thank you to Dyno-Trans Transmission and a very appreciative shout out to Jeremy! Was referred to Dyno-Trans by a tech at Jiffy Lube. I wanted to have my transmission flushed but Jiffy Lube was unable to as my car doesn't have a transmission dipstick. Took my car to Dyno-Trans after playing phone tag for a few days. (Totally my fault due to my schedule). I believe the gentleman's name at the counter I spoke to is Steve. SUPERB Customer Service. Steve has the most welcoming and warmest disposition of anyone I've spoken to at a vehicle repair shop. After giving my transmission a clean bill of health Steve called to let me know everything looks great but to have it's service done in another 20000 miles. They could have just as easily told me it needed service now and kept it. But they didn't. Super Happy with this experience here. So I took my truck in for simple service using an on-line coupon. Everything was great until Steve starting pointing out the numerous leaks, which I appreciated. Steve reminds me of my uncle that owns a body shop in New Mexico where the two share a loyal customer base and vendors respect the business. Dyno-Trans is a great small business but has that personal touch. For instance, I mentioned to Steve that I was getting hungry because I did not anticipate this long of a service. We recently had a transmission self destruct. We had it towed to Dyno Trans from a referral from another auto repair shop. Dyno did a repair to the transmission, but it soon failed. Had it towed again in the middle of the Christmas, New Years holidays. Steve got the Ford Explorer into the shop and did a great job on a complete rebuild of the transmission. Although low on staff due to COVID-19 illness, Steve had his shop make best effort to complete the repair as soon as possible. To top it off, Steve paid our rental car expense. I had them install a transmission cooler on my SUV. They mounted it securely in front of the radiator and connected it to the transmission with a combination of metal lines and hoses. Shorty there after one of the connecting hoses broke while I was towing my utility trailer on Interstate 15 and all the transmission fluid drained out. I had my SUV towed to a nearby shop and they replaced the broken hose and the fluid. Dyna Transmission had reused one of the original hose lines (two years old) and it had split open. When I called them and told them the story, they were appreciative of the information but they made no offer to pay any of the costs I had incurred. I could not recommend their shop. read more

Brought my 2019 Silverado 2500HD in after multiple unsuccessful visits to the dealership. Since it's still under warranty I was just looking for acknowledgment and diagnosis of a shift shuttering problem that GM refuses to acknowledge. Steve took the time to first look up on the internet for any occurences by others with the similar problem. He then took my vehicle for a test drive to verify my concern. He agreed with my concern and wrote up a report for me to take back to GM. I offered to pay him for his time but he just said to come back some day when I was out of warranty.
