I love the friendly service here over all others & the early bird drop off has helped so much when my work schedule keeps me from a weekend service. They are a very understanding establishment that calls you directly if they become aware of any concerns with your vehicle. The location is between car dealerships on ynez & you could stay in the lobby while you wait on vehicle to be serviced or walk/uber to the mall to wait. They are efficient & quick with services like oil changes/smog checks. I used to purchase tires here, but I am not sure if this is something they still provide since I haven't needed tires recently. A great stop for smog checks and oil changes! :) My sister and I had some coupons for a smog check and oil change. They gave us a discount on each service, but not exactly what the coupons promised. Nevertheless, the prices were still fairly reasonable. The place was relatively small, but everyone worked efficiently. We waited for about 30 minutes for an oil change and 40 minutes for the smog check. A bit longer than we expected, but not bad for the price. We'll be sure to stop by here from now on! :) read more

Alternator died during a trip, helped me get back on the road! I took a trip to Temecula and my battery and alternator gave out while I was there Saturday night. Looked up a shop open on Sunday and found Excellent Auto Care. Tow truck driver took my car there, mentioned they did great work here, and I filled out the night drop slip and left my keys. In the morning right away they gave me the full run down and communicated with me throughout the day to give me updates and let me know when I would be ready. Very nice and helpful. I hardly write reviews but this place gave me so much trouble trying to get my smog passed. I went the extra length to fix what was needed to pass, seeked advice from the Toyota Dealership right next door, PAID for over $700+ repairs and fixes, talked to the Toyota smog tech to ENSURE I will pass and this place still gave me a hard time!! I showed them my non-carb verified emission sticker for my intake and they didn't even want to run the test because "it didn't pass the visual". If you ask me the tech assigned to my car seemed lazy. The smog tech could have EASILY verified my intake by looking it up on the K&N website to see it is CA legal and comes with the stock parts of the vehicle. Went to Jefferson Smog instead and they gave me no problems and were very friendly and CHEAPER. I will not be returning here. read more

We took our truck into get a smog check and it did not pass. We asked what we needed to get fixed in order for it to pass smog. We got the little sticker that they wanted us to put on the truck engine and also replaced another part. My hubby even went in to make sure it was the correct part. After my husband fixed what we believed the problem was we went in to get it smogged. They told us it did pass again and had a different excuse as to why it did not pass. We asked why and he didn't have an answer for us and gave us a piece of paper and basically told us to figure it out. He said to call the state or some (not his problem) reason. Go to the smog place next to them, They are much nicer and I've never had any issues! read more

I will never come back here again. I brought my car to them back in November after the ABS light popped up on my dashboard. They let me know it was a bigger issue with the hydraulic power break pump and there was a Toyota service bulletin regarding this for my Prius. They initially quoted me just over 2K, and Scott at the front counter let me know it would be much more if I took it to the dealer. I was ready to proceed and they ordered the part. I get a call from Nick the next week saying Scott was no longer there and he was going to take over. He let me know that Scott misquoted and the actual cost would be $3400. I decided to not move forward with them and to get another opinion. When I went to pick up the car, they charged me $186 to do nothing. However, when I finally got my car to take it to another mechanic, I noticed the warning light was no longer on the dashboard. The mechanic at Excellent Auto Care cleared the code, creating a huge headache for me. I came to learn that Toyota would in fact take care of everything free of charge as long as the code was on there. It took me four MONTHS to get that code back on. They created such a stressful situation for me I will never trust them again. This was total greed on their part to clear the code. My paperwork shows they knew about the service bulletin but neither Scott nor Nick suggested that I take it to Toyota, which is right next door. I called a few weeks ago to ask about new brakes and rotors, and spoke to Todd. He answered all my questions, gave me a quote, and put my mind at ease about getting my vehicle taken care of. His warmth and enthusiasm came through the phone loud and clear! I dropped my car off the following week and Todd called shortly thereafter to go over the game plan with me. He called a few hours later with an update, and I was pleasantly surprised to learn that the rotors were still okay and only the brakes needed replacing. They also cleaned and realigned the rear drum brakes, which I was not expecting. Thank you, Todd and team! I picked up my car that afternoon and ended up paying less than the original quote. I haven't had any issues with it since, and I'm really happy with the work, the timeliness, the courtesy, and the cost. My whole family has been coming to EAC for many years! They have always taken care of us (7 vehicles amongst us) until today. Jason Estrada has now cost EAC 7 customers so far and many more to come as the word of mouth gets out there and I promise it will! They no longer put the customer first or as a priority! First off Jason by over charging and then argue with the customer over you EAC'S coupon will end up costing this business big time! If the owner of this business ( since Jason says you never come in) reads this look up my name and number on work order number 419419 Get my name and number and give me a call so I can explain to you why you've lost at the least 7 customers! Jason was nice enough to tell me that coupon needs to be brought in not just a photo of it to be honored. So let me see now at 5.19 a gallon plus my time to drive home and back to get the coupon instead of my wife sending a pic of it to me and giving the customer the best deal you've proven to the trusting public how you overcharge at, I would imagine, every chance you get! Once the trust is broken it's very hard to get it back. So it's not a ton of money, but what do ya do when it could be, take the 14.98 overcharge, now multiply that by just 7 for now that's 104.86 now multiply that by how many people or possible customers i can tell.....now as an owner I would be a bit alarmed! So we will see if I get a call and update this review! If I don't get a call take my 7 vehicles you would have as customers and use that money for a bit of customer relations training! I was in the need of an air conditioning system, recharge, and back and after calling around a bit, I decided to go to Excellent Auto Care & Tire. I didn't have an appointment I showed up at about 8 AM. The guy got me in and out in about an hour just like they said they would. Service was great. They buy far were the best price around that I found and I was extremely happy with everything they did. They even added a few extra things at no charge, which was awesome. I highly recommend this shop for your air conditioning needs well as general service. I was listening to a lot of the other customers and Jobs and everybody was extremely happy. My car was in this shop for almost a MONTH for 2 smog monitors not "completing", nothing else. Yes, a month. The car ran fine, great smog #s. After the first week they called to say they would not proceed with the repair of the monitors until I PAID them to replace my radiator(small leak they found) and replace a sensor they claimed had been "modified". ? It wasn't causing any problems, not throwing a "CK Engine", they just found 2 excuses to make $$$ and before they even tried to fix my car. After paying them approx $900, getting an ABSOLUTE promise to FIX MY CAR witnessed by my caretaker(I'm a 75 yr old disabled senior)... they didn't. To top it off, they tried to charge me for the new, unnecessary sensor that I HAD SHIPPED TO THEM because I found it at half the cost online. Went to another shop where they tried another scam, found another part(again nothing to do with my problem) and wanted to charge me to fix that issue FIRST, $$$. After getting my car home I happened to look under the hood to find a loose battery cable. Tightened it... FIXED. Smogged. Cost... $0 Excellent Auto is not so excellent. Watch for the repairs they "find" with little to do with your original issue. read more

When your "new" alternator goes out on a Saturday afternoon and most mechanics are closed on weekends and even the Honda service dealership didn't have time for you EAS was opened (they are open 7 days a week) and super responsive. In three hours they had us back on the road so we can live our best life Now I did leave a review where my bad alternator came from that was purchased just 3 months ago. Took vehicle in for overheating. They replaced radiator that was cracked and didn't know the three bleed locations on engine. Vehicle overheated on way home from repair shop. Took back the next day and they behaved like we were interrupting their work day. Waited two hours for them to discover the three bleed spots and that it was a gallon low on antifreeze. Drove home and overheated again. Called them and they made no apologies for their incompetence and our two wasted hours of waiting. They were extremely rude on the phone and said to bring it in so they could figure out what's wrong when they couldn't fix it the two times it was in their shop less than 24 hours apart. Are you kidding?!? Never take your vehicle there for anything. The absolute worst attitudes and service. Definitely going to complain to California bureau of auto repair. read more

Best of all, if something does not need to be repaired/ replaced on our vehicles, they advise us as such. Hard to find honest reputable repair facilities.
