They diagnosed the issue as worn pads and rotors, and I needed full brake replacement. Unfortunately, upon pick up the problem persisted. When I brought the car back, they found the real issue -- broken belts in the rear tires. That should've been caught the first time, but to their credit, they owned the mistake without excuses. The manager was respectful, apologized, and offered me a very fair deal on four new Mastercraft Stratus AS tires with discounted labor and extended warranty. Instead of getting defensive, they worked to make it right. I left with quality tires, professional installation, and renewed confidence in their customer service. Thankfully, we were led by locals to Autocon, where owner Nilton Contreras (a 10-year Army medic vet and father of six) and his brothers were so kind. We had to leave the car with them, so Nilton took us and our belongings to a hotel in the next city, and then we rented a car for the remainder of the trip until we could back to Autocon to retrieve my Buick. These brothers are amazing and truly care about their customers as individuals. They replaced the Buick's valve cover gasket with Buick parts and had the car ready in three days. The car was left and I was called later in the day with the repair estimates for replacement of water pump at a cost of $1500. The part would not be available for a week. I was searching info on line and saw the replacement for this part and labor was $500-700 so this shop was trying to get 2-3x the cost. I contacted the dealer to find out about a loaner car if I got the vehicle to Savannah. Paying for the towing was worth it 100%. The Lexus dealer cost was in the $500s and (unlike the representation made by the shop owner that I'd still have to wait for the part if I brought the vehicle to Lexus) the part was there. It was installed the same day and I left with my vehicle. It is one thing to support these small business owner but this exploitation of people in the community is a bit much. Now I will never go back to this shop and my experience was shared with people I've come to know in the area. I guess female with a nice car = ripoff at any cost for some individuals. It's shameful. Oh and oil change is $25 + cost of oil for $75-100. Well I will keep going to Walmart for $39.95.
