It was Saturday afternoon, most shops were already closed or close to closing and refused to look at my vehicle. I called ARL and, even though they too were near closing and usually work on commercial big rigs, they checked out my vehicle and tried to get me back on the road and were willing to stay past closing without additional charges. Unfortunately, once the wheels came off another issue, disintegrated wheel bearing, came to light and required a part that was not available until Monday. I had friends in Abbotsford that said I could stay at their house though they were away and could therefore not come get me. The service manager had one of his staff drive not just me, but also my dog and some rabbits I had purchased, from Surrey to East Abbotsford. They did an awesome job fixing my van, and even cleaned/tightened my battery terminals which had been given me starting problems. When I picked up my van, another pleasant surprise awaited me - the invoice was less than I had feared given the amount of time they spent on my vehicle. From the front office staff to the mechanical staff - everyone there is absolutely awesome. Thank you so much, you made what could have been an extremely stressful day into one I can actually laugh about. Silvia Rutledge

I am writing this review to explain the awful experience I had with Diesel tech Truck Repair on…read moreFebruary 23, 2019. I am the owner of a moving company and I had a big move to do that morning in Richmond. At 9am, I arrived at the home where we were supposed to do the move and I went to lower the tailgate and it went all the way to the ground. And then the hydraulic fluid quickly leaked out and I was no longer able to raise the tailgate. It was broken. So, I needed to find a repair company quickly and I found this company on Google. I made an emergency call to them at 9:30am. I explained the problem fully. They had asked for a $500 deposit which I provided right away. They said they would be there within 2 hours. They arrived at 11:45am. It was one mechanic with a big truck. He checked the tailgate and the battery and the maxifuse and found that the power in from the fuse was ok but there was no power out of the fuse. It was defective. Because I had explained the issue fully on the phone, I thought they would come with the correct parts and be able to fix the problem on the spot. But, the mechanic did not come with the right parts to fix the job. He provided the diagnosis and said I had to drive the truck all the way to their shop in Burnaby to be repaired and then he left. He didn't even fix the maxifuse, which was a small and easy part to be repaired. But their warehouse was 45 minutes away from me and I wasn't able to drive that far because the tailgate was still down on the ground and broken. So, I had to call a friend to come and help me to raise the tailgate so that I could drive the truck a short distance and get it to another shop that was closer. Luckily, we were able to lift it up and tie it with many straps as a temporary measure. So, in the end, I went to this other shop, which was closer, and got the repair done there. As I wasn't able to go to the warehouse, due to the distance, I called the company to notify them about that. They said they would determine the amount owing and would send an invoice to me this past Monday. I gave them my email address for them to do so. And, today, is Wednesday, Feb 27 and I still hadn't received an invoice. I called their office and a different woman answered the phone and said they didn't have my email address on file. So I gave it to them again and finally they sent me the invoice. I was shocked, they charged me $489.09 for a job they didn't even fix. This is not fair. They charged this amount just to come out and look at the truck. They delayed me 2 hours and didn't even fix the problem. And I lost my moving job that morning. They wasted 3 hours of my time and couldn't even help me. And now I am left with a bill of almost $500. So, I believe this company handled my problem very badly. And I feel they are extremely unprofessional and incompetent and I would never recommend using this company to anyone.

I posted photos of his crap work on his FB page and he quickly deleted them. I have posted the same photos of his poor work on another review and they are there for all to see. Be cautious when dealing with this individual, he is misleading and not the technical nor professional that he claims he is. Very disappointed in in the work and his unethical practices. Terrible experience and calling names to his customer really goes a long way in the promotion of a business. I could have bought a brand new trailer for the amount he charged.

Five Stars - Highly Recommended!…read more I recently purchased a poptop parts van intending to move the top to my good van. When I contacted a number of local shops asking for quotes on this project, responses ranged from "too busy" to "too much trouble!" When I emailed Tech Trailer, the response was simple, "we can do it!" I met with Dan, the owner and was immediately impressed by his passion and attention to detail. Over the next few weeks, this good impression was confirmed many times over. Any problems encountered along the way were solved with innovation, determination and good humor. The quality of the install is considerably better than what the OEM manufacturer of the top did and Dan came up with many improvements along the way. The original quote was honored, and Tech Trailer did their utmost to ensure I was satisfied. Tech Trailer is a professional shop and works to a very high standard!

I called three ICBC-licensed 'inspection facilities' in the Delta BC area to learn price and availability for the service. These were generally automotive shops. The common response was 'Well I think we can do it....not sure how much to charge' Not confidence-inspiring. Eventually reached Chuck at Truck& Trailer, and got an entire lesson on trailer VIN regulation and ICBC procedures. I filled out my ICBC forms, paid ICBC my $25, and waited for the little metal tag to arrive at the shop. Took my trailer in and Chuck had a technician attach the tag by drilling and riveting the tag to the frame. Chuck advised that an inspection was not required for a trailer under 1400kg, so no charge for an inspection. Chuck completed his side of the ICBC forms, made a copy for me. I went in to pay for the service, or just leave a tip, and Chuck said 'No charge'. Finally, a good, honest, and *knowledgeable* company...
