Quoted my 95 year old father $12,000 to take down one medium size tree that is easily accessible from the street. Wow.

I called for a quote and left a message to make an appointment and received no call back. Tom, I believe his son, showed up at the house randomly about a week later and was great - gave me a very fair estimate and we said we would like to book but he said we had to call to set up an appointment. I called the next morning and left a message. I waited almost a week and called back, got Ed on the phone. He mentioned his son was away but he would call back next week, Tuesday or Wednesday to set something up. It's been about a month and he still hasn't called back. Terrible communication. read more

We had 5 trees taken down, three tall pines and two large oaks. Ed came out with his crew when he said they would. They did a great job! Very professional and they were $1500 less than the other tree company. I would highly recommend them. read more

Have used these guys in the past and hired them to take down a 60 foot oak tree and a mulberry tree. Ed, the owner, and the guys did a great job. The job took about 5 1/2 hours and it was quite a site. They took great care to protect the house and cleaned up all the debris. I highly recommend them. read more

Risk of collateral damage? A warning to you and your neighbors: photograph all vulnerable areas before your project begins. While removing several of our neighbor's trees, E&R acknowledged damage and replaced our fence post cap; however, upon further inspection a fresh clean crack on an adjacent upper fence rail was seen. We called immediately to report the damage, but received no response. Finally, 4 days later with our neighbor's intervention, Ed arrived to assess the damage in the dark with a flashlight during a snowstorm. He denied culpability, arrogantly and condescendingly arguing that dirt on the cracked rail proved that the damage was old. Of course, after 2 days of intense wind and rain, dirt and debris, easily swept away with my finger, would be expected. With conflicting interpretations of evidence and no eyewitness to the event, we are at a stalemate. It is disconcerting that Ed, who boasts of being fully insured, refused to give us the benefit of the doubt and do the right thing by repairing the rail - or, acknowledging the ambiguity, at least accept our offer to meet halfway. While E&R may deserve the stellar ratings for the quality of their work and clean-up for paying clients, accountable for collateral damage to adjacent properties should be a determining factor. read more

I reached out to Paul and Eddie on a Monday and Paul responded back to me on Wednesday. they were very busy due to all the storms we had recently. Paul came to my house and surveyed the job i requested. I needed 4 trees and 3 stumps taken care of. The quote i received was just under my budget so i was very pleased about that! He then gave me a time frame of 2-3 weeks and since i was not in any rush i agreed to wait. The very next day Paul called me and said a job that was scheduled for Saturday was on hold and he could do my job on that day! So we setup the job and his guys came out at 7:30am on Saturday like they said that would. I met Eddie, who was also a great guy, and they got to work right away. They spent the entire day working and i was very pleased with the outcome. I would highly recommend these guys to anyone and I would definitely use them again because they stuck to their word and exceeded my expectations. read more

Selected E&R after getting several quotes. I was impressed from the start by the fact that the owner (Ed) was very professional, came out and did the estimate himself, and clearly knew what he was doing. He made it a point to share his Insurance info proactively with me. Prices were very reasonable. The work on the property was done very quickly. They showed up with a large crew and the owner was on site at the job and did a lot of the work personally. They did a very good job of cleaning up and overall I have no complaints. He called me three days later he had a cancellation and came to our house and did it in about six hours with all those guys everything was cleaned up everything was professionally done and I found him to be reasonable honest and possesses integrity! read more

E & R came out to remove a dead tree and trim some trees in the front & back of my house. They arrived exactly when they said they would 7:30 am this morning. They were finished with the job in about one hour. Six men and the boss.. everybody working together seamlessly like a truly well-oiled machine. Everything was cleaned up beautifully. There were no surprise charges. Everything was done exactly as their estimate had described. I will recommend them highly to everyone I know. My sincere thanks to the entire team. I don't understand....called them to get a quote, someone came out, gave me a price. I then requested another quote for a different job and I got it. Then I called the business to see if both jobs could be combined and what would the price be. No response was received. I called a second time and again, left a message and again no response! Guess I'll have to keep looking. read more
