Took my car in and told them it probably needed a new alternator. The brand new battery (installed by Autozone) couldn't seem to hold a charge. I'm disappointed this place has declined in Yelp stars. I used to love this place, recommended it to all my friends and family. My issue is not with the service itself. My issue is the lack of ability to contact anyone. I've tried several times to call in, and they have some phone system where it is impossible to get a hold of them. I actually drove in to make an appointment. Oddly, when I called and my car was in service, my calls would go through. Now that that's done, I tried calling back, and the number doesn't work again. Very odd. Tried with wife phone too, same issue. Decided to look elsewhere, even if a little further. read more

Last year, after my AC went out in my 2007 Hyundai, I took it to another mechanic to get a quote on having it fixed. The other mechanic gaveme a $2000+ quote to fix my AC and to replace my radiator which they found was leaking during their 'free' inspection. I am so happy that my husband wanted a second opinion and after checking out reviews decided to give E & T a try. After running my radiator for several hours looking for a leak, they let me know that there was not at all a leak and that the problem with my air conditioning was simply that a connection had come loose. They replaced the connector, replaced a headlight and did the radiator inspection all for less than $50. Fast forward to today, my other headlight had burned out, so I stopped in to have it replaced. I also scheduled an appointment to have an overall inspection next week to make sure things are all functioning like they should. Rather than charge me for the light today and again next week for the inspection, they just popped my light in and added it to the bill for next time. In addition, they noticed that my engine was starting up a little slower than they would expect (it sounded normal to me!) so they checked my battery quickly before I left and low and behold, it's starting to go bad. Since they don't sell batteries or stand to make any money on this, it just adds to my wonderful impression of these guys. E & T really cares about their clients and obviously strives to ensure that they offer truly affordable and honest repairs for their customer's vehicles! E & T Automotive has a client for life here! Dropped my car off Monday morning before the shop opened, I work nights and sleep during the day. Filled out paperwork left keys. Didn't hear from anyone for 4 days. I called to see if they had chance to look at the car and it hadn't even been touched. I assume they are too busy to pick up a phone and call the customer, over a four day period. I took my car to someone else and they were looking at in within the hour. I was just looking for someone to do repair work on my car, not play games. MY son and I purchased an engine from E&T supposed to have 55000 miles and to be A grade. When the engine arrived it had oil and water in oil pan plus after removing the valve cover there was broken parts in the cover. This engine was not the one we were supposed to get. I would't use this for a boat anchor. Have repeatedly called and I am getting nowhere. I would appreciate someone getting back to me and settling this fiasco. read more

These guys continue to seriously be part of our family. We found a used truck for our 16 year old and needed to act fast on it. My husband called, and even though you usually have to have an appointment here (because they are so good and honest, they are also so busy!), they told him to bring it buy as soon as he was able to. They gave it a good once over and found a few minor things that helped us negotiate $1000 off the truck. We trust them implicitly, and they know their stuff. They know exactly what to look for in the year/models of vehicles. These guys are great. My car was just not feeling right when making sharp turns at very slow speeds (steering wheel vibrations). Took it to a couple other shops, mentioned that the tire may be rubbing on something, power steering issue, etc. Nothing. "All's well." Got worse over time, so took it to E&T after getting a recommendation from next-door Raven Auto Body. Final diagnosis - low power steering fluid. They definitely spent longer diagnosing the problem than they charged. Found our new shop. read more

I took a list of repairs that were recommended for my car by a Ford dealership. After running diagnostics and looking at the parts that supposedly needed to be replaced they recommended that I not do any of them. They took the time to thoroughly explain what they saw and why they didn't believe there was any issue and that Ford was trying to rip me off. I trust NO ONE! Especially mechanics. They don't typically care for me either because I've never left my car with them, ever. I also stand over them asking questions the whole time they're working on my car and always ask for the old parts (intimidation tactics I learned as a single mother always on a super tight budget with crappy cars). I did that for 20 years. BUT, i vibe with people who are transparent and if you are a transparent type then you know when you meet others. Steve and Tommy are two nice guys who never try to upsell and in fact will tell you when you can get away with not fixing some thing right away. They're not fast talkers but it's clear they know their stuff and they don't spend time convincing you of anything, they have the business. Their prices are always fair and more often than not they are the best price (and I price matched the first several big jobs). You can just tell they're honest and believe in integrity. I've got a 2002 Expedition that gets a workout on the weekends hauling my band gear around. After the warranty ran out (oh so many years ago), taking it to the dealer just wasn't an option. The recommendation for E & T came from a trusted friend and neighbor. These guys know that if you screw a customer over, that's the only time you'll likely see them. But if you treat 'em right, you've got a loyal customer. In all the times that I've had my SUV in for service, they've never once tried to over sell me on repairs I don't need. Most recently, I had the front shocks replaced (a consumable on a heavy vehicle as far as I'm concerned). They quoted me a very fair price, but then mentioned that "there is a cheaper shock available" if I wanted to save a little money. I said put the product on that you like. I've used some of the repair chains before, and was never satisfied with the results. If I've got to spend money on keeping a vehicle running, I'd rather support a local business that obviously has some ethics. Oh yeah, they know their stuff, too! read more
