Unfortunately, when I got to my car to look in my mirror, I had dozens of small cuts that were bleeding. I raced home to clean them properly and apply ointment to avoid infection and scarring. The cuts are healing but I am upset that this has happened. I have never experienced this with threading before. And I even more disturbing because I know she saw the blood on her thread and cotton ball and yet she said nothing.

Before I even left the salon, I asked the technician if they were supposed to look like that because I knew something wasn't right. She told me it was because I "didn't have a lot of eyebrow hair." That explanation didn't make sense to me because eyebrow tint is specifically meant to help define brows, especially for people with sparse hair. I've had my eyebrows tinted several times before at other places, and they've always looked great. I even sent pictures to friends of mine who are licensed aestheticians, and they all agreed that the work was poorly done. While I do appreciate that they refunded my money, the technician was very rude and had a nasty attitude when I expressed my concerns. As a Black woman, I also didn't feel welcomed or respected during my visit. Based on my experience, I personally would not recommend this place to other Black women. I felt like I was treated differently, and that's not an experience anyone should have when paying for a service.

I went to the water park and looked amazing - it's good to always look like I've got my sh*t together...at least a little bit. The prices are great - similar services in South Tampa and elsewhere locally seem to be over $100 more. The office is attractive and airy feeling once you are there - I had no idea it would be so cute and so professional feeling. It wasn't totally pain free - BUT - I've had more uncomfortable laser hair removal, waxing, heck, even massages at one of those cheap places than this was painful. I had some redness in my eyes that didn't last more than a 24 hours and probably had more to do with me putting too much of the aftercare on (which worked well) and getting it in my eyeballs. I would totally recommend Missy to friends and family - but I'm not telling my family. Let them think I got dolled up just for them.
