All in all, this is a welcoming and relaxing spa, that cares for the development of their staff and makes me feel pampered every time! A few highlights: For hair, I highly recommend Moyo! She has a great Instagram page that showcases her portfolio and talent for balayage. I'm a brunette on the lighter side and she has helped me explore more natural highlights and small tweaks to my regular trims that bring life to my hair. Kim is a master massage therapist! We did a couples massage. My masseuse was not the worst I have ever had, but wasn't near the top. I didn't like the use of her forearms and elbows on my back. When she started on my calves, I thought she felt the knot in each of them. Since I jumped a little. But she didn't focus on getting them out. She just moved on. I only got one hip massaged. I was like great, she is going to massage my hips because I needed that. But when she went to the other side she didn't even touch my other hip. I was so looking forward to this massage. Horrible Customer service and the receptionists are lacking knowledge to assist customers with their own store policies. Very bad experience and this is BEFORE having a service done there. And Sam, the guy who will reply to this, is truly nothing more than a glorified 'office manager' with less professionalism, customer care than his front office. I visited Divine Designs Salon & Spa during my lunch hour on Wednesday, Oct. 19. I interacted with your front desk managers Chris and Bharvi. They were unwilling to assist me and advised me to write to the managerial team for assistance. On Sunday Aug. 21, I patronized your day spa. I scheduled a back-to-school signature pedicure for my son and I. Since I did not see any colors that appealed to me, I bought OPI's Go to Grape Lengths for my pedicure and to have at home. During the pedicure we ate and drank and had a delightful conversation with the two stylists. It did not register with me that she had to apply a clear coat to make my toes shine. Fast forward to the weekend of Oct. 16. I removed the original polish from the pedicure and decided to stick with the same color for my new application. I applied three coats and each one was dull. There is a hint of glimmer, but no shine. It's as flat as matte lipstick. Clearly, this is in contrast to what OPI claims. According to the OPI website, Go to Grape Lengths is an "infinite shine" product and "The shimmer finish will glisten 24/7. I explained to them that I am a longstanding customer of Divine Design and utilize the spa services a couple of times a year. I usually bring someone else along to introduce them to your business, like my mom, friends and son. I also explained to them that I know OPI products. As seen in the attached photo, I have 18 bottles of OPI nail polish, plus 5 bottles of Nicole polish. I'm sure you know Nicole is another brand of polish under the OPI umbrella. I have NEVER had a bottle an OPI polish that was flat and dull and matte in finish. Looking at the bottle of Go to Grape Lengths that I bought from your store, it appears to be shiny with a hint of shimmer. However, after applying it to my nails I can attest that the bottle is defective. I asked your front desk managers to exchange the bottle or refund my money. They declined both. Bharvi suggested I simply apply a clear coat to the polish. Why would I do that? I bought a new bottle of polish that is supposed to be shiny. She even shared that she has the same polish and applies a clear coat at home. This is further evidence that something is wrong with that particular color line. Chris indicated that all sales of Divine Design products are final sale, plus it had been more than 30 days. Well, if the stylist had not done such a great job with my pedi, I guess I would have discovered the defective bottle of polish sooner. Given my extensive collection of OPI polish at home, I have more than a little experience with their product. Plus, I am literate and understand that my bottle does not live up to the claims that OPI makes on their website. What I am asking you to do as owners of Divine Design is to stand behind the products that you sell, exchange my bottle of polish or refund the amount that I paid. read more

While my service was rendered very well, my friend didn't enjoy her service at all -- but that has been rectified with management and all is well. Back to my experience -- my tech was awesome! That pedicure REALLY was nice. She took her time and it didn't feel like she was rushing. I was very relaxed. There were a few times that she was distracted but only because she was wanting to help the young lady that was servicing my friend. Again, while my friend may never partake, I would likely come back and request the lady that I had because she was great. The set up was nice and private. Quite and quaint. I recently got my hair trimmed, had a deep conditioning treatment and a pedicure at Divine Designs. I had a nice time and was treated lavishly. The prices are commiserate with all good industry professionals. It's not cheap but you pay for good work. It's also not extremely expensive. Pros: The appointment process went seamlessly. I felt safe in regards to extra safety measures. I loved how my stylist took a listening posture with regards to doing my hair. She took the time to hear me, ask questions and review my "hair history" and goals. The end cut was lovely! My pedicurist was easy to talk to and at the time of service did an ascetically pleasing job. Cons: While my pedicure was fragrant, relaxing and the pedicures took was skilled and kind. I was serviced for the pedicure approx 2:30pm. The paint was applied triple thick, I was not offered a place to dry under lamps or fans. I left slightly damp. Although I was very careful until bedtime, and at bedtime they seemed perfect and dry, I suspect the thickness of layers and inability to totally dry before bed left my two large toenails creased and bumpy after waking in the morning. I didn't go back, I didn't call, if I had I'm sure they would have resolved. I live 40 minutes away for a paint fix. To me it wasn't worth the trouble but be aware. This spa day turned out to be more than what I was expecting. I literally was so relaxed after my massage by Kim and facial by Anna I was falling asleep while Shyann was doing my mani/pedi. Email sent after the salon emailed that we declined an alternative service time: Hello, We were actually in the parking lot @ 2:41 & again, while your business chose not to help us, we have repeatedly had to wait in the past for service providers, but that is obviously different then you are saying? What is the salon's policy for customers waiting past 15 minutes?? We had another commitment at 3:30 and therefore could not do 3:15 p.m. Also- the time frame described for this service is 30-45 minutes so based on that, after being told the person the appt was with would only take 30 minutes, the service absolutely could have been provided. As aforementioned, we have been kept waiting for appts repeatedly and we have understood time and time again, albeit frustrating, as it seems to be unavoidable- & it is not just us that have given grace as I always hear providers apologizing for keeping people waiting. However, when the tables were turned, we were not allowed the same consideration we have provided as customers. I take care of my mother and unfortunately it took longer than expected to get her ready, in the wheelchair, & in the car - and then of course there was more traffic than normal. She was really excited to be able to get her nails done & enjoys coming there so the complete lack of understanding and rather policy espousing was extremely upsetting. Also, we could have just taken our business elsewhere to start. The assistance I needed today was compassion and help to simply be able to get my mother's nails done and Divine Designs instead chose not to provide the service needed. Horrible Customer Service! I called a little while ago to inquire about the 'DivineBirthday.com' promotion. I've purchased a massage packages for my wife, for the last 2years, and thought I would surprise my wife with another Birthday gift, but realized that you have fine print stating 'services must be scheduled for the birthday month of the guest receiving services', but my wife's bday is on April 29th. I was told by your front desk manager(what a Joke!), that they do give an exception, but she would have to be booked within 2weeks of her bday? I tried explaining that we're returning customers and if her birthday were on the 1st she would have 30days to satisfy and that 2 weeks wouldn't give her enough time to book with our current schedule. I thought it would have been nice for someone from your office to call back, but if that is the way you see your customers, I would rather go elsewhere. They wanted to enter my personal information on their computer compromising my privacy. They made this process mandatory in order to buy non-age-restricted Gift Card, therefore violating customer access to their services.They asked me for ID to verify my personal information entered on their computer - they have no right for that. I had received a gift certificate for 4 ours of service. I got a Swedish massage, facial and pedicure. Everything was great but the pedicure. The girl used unsanitary tools including the foot scrubber which had other peoples dead skin on it so it was apparently not cleaned, sanitized or new. I asked her not to finish and just polish. I expressed my concern with the front desk and 2 days later received an email from the spa stating I could no longer use the spa given my unsatisfactory results to the pedicure. This is a copy of the email. They apparently are not customer service oriented and do not care that the techs are using unsanitary items that can cause infection. UNSATISFACTORY RESULTS WITH SPA SERVICE(S) Your service complaints with respect to the sub-par level of service you appear to have experienced at Divine Designs has come to my attention and I do apologize for the experience. It appears that our competency isn't up to an acceptable level for your personal needs and as a result of our inability to deliver the results you require as well as the frustration you voiced as a result of your dissatisfaction, I've informed my team that, effective immediately, they can no longer provide services to you at Divine. I understand that this may cause you to use an alternate spa and professional that may be better qualified to meet your personal demands, unfortunately it is a decision we must make when we are faced with our own inability to perform to a guest's expected standards. I have been a customer of Divine Designs since at least 2011. Brandy has been cutting my hair there since before her kids were born, and she has always done a great job. But then COVID wrecked the world in 2020. Like everyone else, Divine Designs lost staff, and the new folks at the front desk became surly. (Maybe because for a year there, management didn't provide them with any CHAIRS, so they had to stand all day!) I put up with the front desk until this year, when they started demanding that I regularly complete a form to populate their marketing database. I refused, but I did tell them that all the information they had about me was correct -- I just didn't feel it was worth my while to retype it all into their form. I also pointed out that I agree to their Terms of Service every time I make an appointment via their website, so from a legal standpoint, they're protected. Well, last month, I got an email from Sam Rashid, Corporate Administrator, Guest Services with the subject line in all bold, "REFUSAL TO SUBMIT CLIENT INFORMATION - SERVICE PRIVILEGES SUSPENDED". The email goes on to say, "Federal regulations with respect to a mandatory annual Privacy Policy Update as well as our governing policies and insurance requirements require us to obtain, to the best of our ability, current client information on an annual basis in digital format. Our records indicate that any such form you may have completed in the past has either expired or has not been provided in a digital format." Rather conveniently, I have a friend who runs a salon, and he confirmed that this is utter BS. This is all about FORCING their customers to maintain their marketing database, and Divine Designs actually FIRED ME over it! Can you imagine? After over a decade?? Sam NEVER took the time to research my issue and complaint at hand. I've spent THOUSANDS of dollars at this location, just to be treated like A NUMBER everytime I came in. However, after booking a manicure, pedicure and massage on special that I was directed to automatically by the website I was contacted and told that due to some disclaimer/fine print I never saw I was not eligible for the promotions after I'd already been charged for them. Here's a recap of the review with bonus info: It's dirty. And out of date. And depressing. Staff didn't know the answer my questions re: walk-in appointments until checking several times. You may not get the service you actually wanted. The have inadequate equipment. Their no-show policy is HARSH and complicated to understand. They even say "Subject to change during premium periods" with no explanation of when a premium period is or what the EVEN HARSHER policy is. Save your money for something worth spending it on because this place IS NOT WORTH IT. ----////---- I scheduled a mani/pedi through the website, and when asked to pick my services, there was no option for "gel", but the site said this was an option. I planned to tell the technician upon arrival. When I arrived, I explained I wanted the gel option, and I was told my 2 hour appointment wouldn't allow for this option. This was disappointing, as the website didn't offer directions to indicate this as my preference. Classic mani/pedi it was. The mani didn't dry, even after sitting at the out of date drying station for 10 minutes. What a waste of time and money. This being said, my experience with Stephanie the tech was great, so I scheduled another appointment, this time for a gel manicure. But the closer the date came, the more I dreaded the appointment. May I suggest you tour the facilities before making an appointment or buying a gift card for a loved one? The salon is out dated, not well-cleaned and has a depressing atmosphere. I admit it. I no-showed to my next appointment. I anticipated what I understood to be a $25 no show charge. BOY WAS I WRONG. They charged me $118 - more than my appointment was supposed to be (I had locked in a promotional rate). I WAS CHARGED FOR OVER 100% OF A SERVICE CHARGE WITH NO SERVICES RENDERED. Also, the ARE accepting walking. If no one walked in for an appointment during a Saturday, I wouldn't be surprised, therefore it's understandable as to why they charged me for 100% for services not-rendered.
