Erynn does beautiful work, if and when she shows up. Me and my daughter went to her every 5-6 weeks consistently for about 6 months. She was never on time. Ever. She was consistently 1-2 hours late....Everytime. She would say she was driving around from hair store to hair store trying to find our hair. All while we were sitting in our car waiting and practically a hostage because we are in a position where we already took our braids down so we're looking crazy. She cancelled my daughter's appointments the day before school started and on Christmas Eve. Imagine, being a teen girl and counting on her for important events in your life and she ghosts you in the 11th hour. AFTER you took your braids down nonetheless. She is Flighty and Highly Unprofessional. She is full of excuses and has a very poor business acumen. UPDATE: I went back to Erryn a few times after this and was not left as happy. The second time I got this SAME SERVICE completed she did them so tight that it pulled my edges and my back to the point that I had sores. Instead of booking an appointment to get them retouched so they didn't hurt I booked the entire service over and paid full price with no complaints. With this particular hair style she asks that you have your hair straightened and she even made a comment about my hair not be straightened the last time. I straightened it so much that she thought I had a relaxer. She completed my hair on the 1st and on the 2nd, I already had locs falling out. I texted her to let her know immediately and she said she would accommodate me and her earliest date was on the 8th. It is now the 5th and an entire an entire corner in the front has fell out and the back as well. I texted Erryn to let her know that at this point I'm just unhappy with the hairstyle and requested another style. She responded and said that I could pick another style as long as it took the same amount of time or less (which was weird since EVERY style I've gotten taken way longer than the time on her StyleSeat site). I requested a quick weave or box braids in which I even said I will pay the difference. She waited hours and then responded that she changed her mind and that my only option is to get this style that I've tried 3 times already over again or get a refund. I requested the refund. Then she proceeds to tell me that if I chose the refund I could never use her services again. As if this would make me want to come back! I requested my money back. She did send the money but it is crucial to understand the lack of professionalism. read more

I had a very bad experience with Erynn and will make sure my friends, co-workers and the ladies in the women's groups I'm a part of know how this woman works. I paid her a total of $194 to take out my old twists and put in a new style that I provided her a picture of. My style came out awful, I told her before she left it looked nothing like what I requested and all she said was "Oh" it wasn't even the same length, it was a cute bob twist look I wanted and I got shoulder length kinky twists. In less than five days they were unraveling and fraying and looked awful. When I contacted Erynn about the issue with my hair she said she would fix it for $75, this is five days after I paid her a total of $194. When I complained about having to pay to fix the quality of her braids and shoddy work she stopped responding to my texts. read more

I got my large marley twists done on 10/26/19. My appointment with Erryn was pleasant and professional. She played nice music and her conversation was informative and fun. I was pleased with my final look. I have received several compliments on my hair--especially as the style has grown older. I still have my twists in and will most likely wear them through Christmas. The only reason this review is one star short is because a few of my braids did come unraveled, which surprised me. I'm not sure if it was the hair used or the technique. For the sake of my time, I didn't contact Erynn about this--I just re-twisted the loose braids and kept it pushing. All in all, I liked my experience despite the issue with the few braids. Erynn was very unprofessional and I would not recommend going back. I wanted Senegalese twists but she had me down for box braids (I never said I wanted them,) and had me buy the wrong hair. When I arrived at her home it was filthy and it took her about 5 minutes to answer her door. She started to do my Senegalese twists but within about an hour or so she left me to drop off her friend somewhere and I was at her house for 20-30 minutes. Once she came back she started to do my hair again and everything was fine other than the fact that there was a one year old running around in only in a diaper (which was full.) The mother completely ignored her one year old until his diaper broke and then she had to clean him. Within a week my Senegalese twists were unravelling and they were frizzy and frayed. I messaged Erynn about this and I never got a response. Don't come here if you want someone who is professional because you won't get it. read more
