I needed a new sump pump for my crawlspace, and I wanted quotes for a moisture barrier. I received four quotes: one high, one low, and two in the middle. I went with a middle quote, E-Mora Construction, and I'm so glad I did! I was anxious for the sump pump work to be completed before the rains began. Although E-Mora Construction had a full schedule, they managed to squeeze me in and completed the work ahead of schedule. The workers were great, and tidied up after work finished for the day. The sump pumps and moisture barrier were installed in two days. Blown away by what a gentleman he was and the information he gave me . He was totally honest and up front with what the problem was --- 99% and what to do. We opted for the 20ml thick barrier and his team were able to fasten securely to the foundation walls despite our crawlspace having limited access space in places. Really glad that I had Ernesto and his team come out to waterproof our crawlspace. Problem we had: Our area has a high water table. When we first moved in, we noticed taht even with a slight rain, there would be an inch of water covering the entire crawlspace. We were living on a lake. Estimate: Ernesto came out to do an estimate. Compared with others we asked, he was more thorough and went through the entire crawlspace area that the competitor's hadn't checked. Quickly were able to come out to our home and install a temporary sump pump to get the existing water out from under our crawlspace. Later that week they then came out and installed a permanent sump pump and ran drainage lines to the pump under the home to capture any water that might flow in from any leaks that might occur again. read more

Very happy to have E-Mora installing vapor barriers in my crawl space. I have wireless humidity sensors in the crawl space and noticed that the humidity was down from 85% to 62%, it really works! The crawl space is clean and healthy now. Besides vapor barriers, E-Mora reset the sump pump which was improperly installed by another plumbing company in Mountain View. They also installed a new pump in another side of the house, then rerouted the pipes to drain the water to the street. All the work was done in high quality and I'm very satisfied with. So, this is the very first guy that did the review of Ernesto and EMora Construction. We had record rains yesterday and our alarm went off in the crawl space. For those of you who are wondering if this really works after 10 years the answer is yes! First time ever the alarm went off and we have never had a problem with our system that Ernesto put in our house. I think he will be the first to tell you that our house probably ranks in the top 10% of worst homes with flooding go on in their crawl space. Super responsive even now after all these years. Long story short that it wasn't anyting wrong with what he installed. The pumps leading into the drains seem to be clogged. I need to snake out the drain and that will more than not do the trick. What did his team do? They actually built a temporary drainage system for the water to be sucked out of my attic. Ernesto and his team are the real deal! They really are like family. I don't question anything they do and there are so detailed in everything they do. Can't imagine why you would ever go to anyone else in regards to the speciality business. read more

These guys are true professionals. You can tell when people don't do a job correctly and own up to it and fix an issue without question or denial. I had them install a sump pump basin and it worked okay but it was later was still spreading out in my crawlspace. So I gave em a call and they checked it out and immediately they told me they need to make it deeper and they'll have a crew out that weekend to adjust the work. It's rare to find someone who stands by their work, really lucked out with them! read more

I was shopping around for crawlspace encapsulation. I have called other places that come out and do crawlspace inspection to decide what I need. Most guys come out and do a free inspection. E-Mora claimed that they do 'free' inspection but it is actually not the case. They want $200 upfront payment to come out. Although they said they would deduct the money if you decide to use their service. But you would be running the risk of loosing your $200. After back-and-forth emailing finally they told me it would be about $4-$5 per sqft. They may or may not provide better service than other places and they claimed that they use 20-mil material which is usually an overkill. I'll suggest to look the other way. read more

I waited to write this review to see how their fix for our constantly leaking basement is working. It's working perfectly. The next Test will come when the rains start up. (Our house is on an underground creek). If the system E Mora has installed isn't enough to handle the increased volume then they will come back and add to the original sump system. Their prices are so reasonable I won't mind paying for them to come back. Taking this wait and see approach shows great integrity on their part and keeps prices low for the home owner. Ernesto came to our house yesterday and investigated our damp basement. He was smart, courteous, and had a range of options for getting our basement dry, with some different ways we could manage it. He recommended products for mold control, baseboarding, and alternative solutions for the vents-- he showed us problems we didn't know were problems and showed us that some of the things that we **thought** were problems were no big deal. Ernesto & crew made our home livable again! Mold would bloom in the crawlspace during/after heavy rains, and make our living space miserable. Now our home is drier, more comfortable, and the crawlspace is secure. No more mold.
