I asked for a card to end the interaction and he said "no card, pay now or never again and prices will be $800." Randomly showed up at my house parked in front of my driveway partially blocking my car, never introduced himself, immediately ask me why we decided to move to Kansas from Florida? It's creepy because he's just looking at our car's license plate. Who starts a conversation like that? Bad! Bad quality meat is what they sell. Their steaks are not good enough to be used for stew meat. The meat is so thin it curls up when cooking. This is the toughest stuff I have ever tried to eat. I would be embarrassed to be known for the substandard product you sell. I wonder if the USDA has even seen your product. EZ Choice Meats will not even answer their phone. They can't. Worst experience I've ever encountered. Fillets looked fair in the package. The other side, after removing from package was pure fat & gristle. I grilled them for 4 minutes on each side. They shrunk up to less than half their size. They tasted like canned meat. They were too tough to chew. They say they are guaranteed for a year. Not true. If you cook them you're out of luck. Absolutely no refunds of any kind. They will replace them with like order if they are still in the package. Big rip off. read more

I wasn't planning to buy any of the meats knowing there's only 2 adults and a kid who doesn't eat meat at home, but this guy was very persistent and even went to the kitchen and put the meats in the freezer. He put about 3 boxes in there, and from that moment there was no going back. Anyway, I stupidly bought the meats thinking I could use some steak every now and then, but HELL NO. The steak cuts were not even quality meat. I am not even sure they were beef meat at all. They were just folded to make them look like they have some kind of thickness. It was a total ripoff. The meats were so thin when they thawed, and the ribeyes and filet mignon were folded in to give them thickness. For the price I paid, it wasn't worth it at all. I was really disappointed. The quality of their 'meat' is highly questionable. Can't believe I got scammed into this deal. Lucky for me the salesmen screwed up and didn't charge my card. The 'meat' wasn't worth my time anyway. Sketchy sales tactic offering a 'sample' which happens to be them bringing in a whole box of 'meat'. Quite hardly a sample. If they showed you the finished 'meat' sample you would never buy. We purchased the meat because it looked good and seemed like a fair price. The next day we tried 2 different steaks, both were very tough and full of grizzle. Sent cancellation by mail, tried calling company no answer. Stopped credit card payment. About a week and 1/2 later received call from delivery person. He picked up meat but since we had tried 2 different steaks from 2 different boxes, we had to pay for the 2 entire boxes. How are you supposed to know they are bad unless you taste them? Rip Off. In the end, it was his lack of professionalism that lost the deal. We informed him that there are two of us, and 100 lbs of meat is just not something we need, especially given the size of our freezer, which I am certain will not hold 100 lbs of meat. He assured us he could make it fit and even offered to show us. I quickly declined this offer. While I was interested, perhaps for the future, I asked about future offers and other ways to purchase. Bad experience with this company. Purchased a meat bundle which was very expensive just to help a friend. Meat was freezer burnt so bad, could only eat about half of it. Ended up throwing the rest away. Contacted EZ Choice, they asked who the sales rep was. I told them and they never got back to me. Product was supposed to have a money back guarantee. Never heard from them again. Made several attempts to contact them. Would either tell me they would get back to me or just simply blow me off... Finally gave up. This has been a few years ago. Forgot all about it till I saw their little truck go through my town today. Just got through with a salesman. I have a very large family. I usually shop on base for meats. I'm pretty particular about price per pound and certain cuts of meats. When he pulled the case of beef. I didn't believe what was in the box. It was beautiful. We went ahead a bought a case of sea food and chicken. The prices was great for what we got. Can't wait to buy again. We purchased but ended up returning our meat, so I can not review on the quality but I can review on the business and our sales man, Rick. Rick deserves 5 Stars but I am giving 4 for the business. Rick was a wonderful sales man, and even when we changed our mind he was gracious. We appreciate that he picked the meat back up the next morning. Even though he was losing out on a sale, he was kind and responsive. The only reason the business gets four stars is because I did not receive a call back when I inquired about getting our check back. They did end up mailing it in a very timely fashion, but a call would have been appreciated. From the looks, the meat looked fresh. Other reviews I have read said that the meat looked brown, vacuumed sealed meat tends to look darker than it is when it thaws, although we did not thaw any of these steaks out. read more

The salesman was friendly enough at first, but pushy from the start. I explained to him several times that I was on a very tight budget, I don't eat a lot of meat, I don't have that much freezer storage space, and I don't eat steak - at least not in the quantity he was trying to push me into. However I was curious about his product so listened to his spiel. I did not realize you had to buy such a large quantity at a time, & was not interested in doing so. When showing me the items, he refused to do so on my covered front porch. I was not happy to have him in my house. When he finally got it thru his head that I really only had a tiny amount to spend on groceries for myself this week, he got pissed & stomped off muttering. You'd think he would've at least offered a business card & a smile so I'd think of them next time meat is in my budget.. Or even a thank you from him for listening. Instead, he bitched about how I was the only person he'd seen today that he couldn't fill their freezer for a year.
