Yoder Meats is supposed to be an equal opportunity employer. They discriminated and fired my son due to his disability, which he disclosed in his interview. He was told that is fine and they will work with the disability! He worked at Yoder Meats from January 2025 until today, 11/4/25. He showed up to work and was fired before he clocked in by the store manager. He asked why and she told him because he is too slow! He was never talked to about this. He showed up to work on time every single time and only called in sick twice due to illness. This picture is of my son. Good quality meats for a good price. They also have a variety of goodies and health elixir that is amazing. There are jams and jellies. I grabbed huckleberry and a major win! The service was great and they were all very helpful. read more

Moves to Wichita a couple of years ago and ever since my wife and I found Yoder Meats we have been regulars! I haven't come across a bad piece of produce or meat and we love their packaged deals they run throughout the year. You know all those great butcher shops you see on TV and social media? This's ain't it. Like most butcher shops in Wichita (all of them?), it has a very small selection of beef, pork, and chicken, with the majority of items being frozen. I have tried them off and on over the years, and every time I'm amazed they stay in business. My last visit was for a pork shoulder and a turkey breast. They had no turkey breasts, and the pork shoulder was literally double the price of Dillons across the street. ($45 for a run of the mill pork shoulder? Please.....) I saw they had cheese curds, something you don't see much locally. I picked up a package to examine it, half of the orange cheddar curds had turned white from excess moisture and were slimy. Yuck. The lady behind the counter more or less scowled at me when I walked in, so after I saw that nothing had changed, I turned around went to Dillons. It's almost like Wichita doesn't know what a real butcher shop looks like. Got me, but doubtful I'll ever step foot in a Yoders again. read more

I'm so frustrated. Upon moving into town I started searching for a new meat shop. We were recommended to Yoder. My first trip there I was wanting to get some chicken Parmesan as listed on the website. The nice guy told me that the website isn't current and they don't have it in stock. I ended up with something different. The quality of the meat was good, so I called to ask if I could reserve a tri tip for pickup on Saturday 12/22 (we do Christmas Eve for our celebration). I was assured multiple times a walk in on Saturday would be fine. I asked if they were sure and was told I wouldn't have a problem. Of course I sent BF to get the tri tip today and they didn't have any. Not a good way to get a returning customer who prefers to buy meat at a butcher. We will take our business somewhere else that will take an order or be more prepared. read more

Great service and great variety. We don't eat red meat, but occasionally need lamb for central Asian dishes. They always have some. It's great to have a location closer than Yoder KS (though the Yoder KS shop is my favorite). Best of all, this smells clean and not like a butcher shop. Also a good supply in the freezer of affordable bones/tendons to cook for the dog. read more

The worst customer service....ever. Apparently, this company has been struggling with customer service for years. Very disappointed.

It's two days before Thanksgiving. I ordered in person 10 days before and was assured a small turkey would be available for three of us after waving off family of 11. All they had were 20 pounds plus. Don't promise what you can't deliver!!! read more

I keep hearing the commercials and decided to record my experience. More than a year ago, I was in the area and decided to try this meat shop, hoping to find a better quality ground beef. I bought some from the case which was $1 per pound cheaper than the frozen. If it was outdated, I was not informed of that. I cooked it that same day. It was so sour that it was inedible.
