I have been coming here for years. Dr.Bao is amazing with clear and concise feedback while also being quick to see you. I have recently started wearing the contact lenses and my god are they amazing. Been going to Dr. Bao at Eagle Eye Center for YEARS. I get the ortho-k lenses and they are a godsend! My vision is TERRIBLE AND I have an Astigmatism and after using this, I'll never go back to traditional lenses ever again. I'll be honest, there's a HUGE learning curve to using a mini plunger to get the contacts out of your eyes in the morning, but seriously, give yourself 6 months to adjust to these lenses if you're trying them out for the first time ever. I almost gave up after 3 months because it takes a while for your vision to really adjust to the lenses but I'm SO GLAD my husband kept telling me to just keep at it. Now I'll never go back to anything else! Also, Dr. Bao and everyone there on staff is great! It's a small staff so you get to know everyone pretty quickly! Like I said, I've been seeing Dr. Bao for years and she feels like family every time I see her- very personable, knowledgeable, and just all around wonderful! She really gets to know her patients and builds a great relationship with them! Even though I only see her a couple times a year, she still remembers things about my life and asks how things are! Love that no matter how busy she may be or how we only see each other a couple times a year, she takes the time to get to know you and really take care of you I've recommended Dr. Bao to several family members and friends and highly recommend her if you're looking for a great eye doctor! She's there on Tues/Thurs at the SL location and goes to the Bellaire location on other days. I always call first to make an appt because they book quickly (they're that good!). read more

Dr. Bao is great! She takes great care of her patients and always takes the time to explain everything. I've been coming here since 2011 and have had no complaints. The front desk is super nice and helpful as well! They have a good variety of glasses to choose from and always adjust for free, even if you come back a year later since your head shrank and need your glasses adjusted. I have to say something about this vision center and Dr. Bao since I don't want other people to be victim like myself. I had my eye check there on Apr 25, 2017 when I felt uncomfortable first time. Later on, it turns out I had conjunctivitis. After Dr. Bao gave three different eye drops, the situation still didn't get better. Until mid of June, Dr. Bao recommended me to go to medical center, I finally lost my patient. Regardless how bad experience during those 2 months, I don't have any concrete evidence to prove how many percentage responsibility this vision center and Dr. Bao should take. But that accident leave a scar around the corner of my left eye's cornea. Here I just list one concrete evidence to see how bad service they provided. On May 18, 2017, Dr. Bao recommended "Homeopathic Eye Drops For Tear Stimulation" to relief my dry eyes, I spend 19.99$ to buy it. But after I used for almost a week, I suddenly found that eye drop they gave to me already expired on Nov 2016. (I will upload picture if I find where I can do that.) Not a complaint about the doctor but the staff. I get a call Thursday from them saying that my Glasses are ready and that I need to bring in my frame so they can cut and implant them. So the next day around noon I call to schedule an appointment by a suggestion from their other office so that I can verify the technician who cuts the glass frames are there at the time of my arrival. At 12:45 pm I call them and they tell me that they will call me back when they get the details. At around 12:55, I called back because they did not call me. They told me the Technician has gone to lunch and they would get back to me after he comes back. At around 1:40, I call in only for them to tell me he is still at lunch. So I asked them again please contact me when I can come in today. Since they still didn't contact me back, I called them back at 2:30 pm to be greeted by another person who tells me the Technician has JUST gone to lunch (What?) and they will get back to me afterwards. Then finally at around 3:55 pm they called me back telling me that the Technician is leaving. Apparently this guy not only has a long lunch but multiple of them and I just used one of my days off to wait for their phone calls. read more

Please double check your prescriptions if you did eye exam with Dr. Yachin Bao!!! Please save your money for other places if you care about your or your children's eyes! I had been going to this places for almost 5 years and finally found out that Dr. Yachin Bao gave me the wrong prescription for how many times I don't know. At lease the last time is totally wrong!! (I went back for double check and she insisted on her wrong decision). The other two doctors I went gave me the same prescription which is no astigmatism for my eyes. But Dr. Yachin gave me more than 70 astigmatisms and also confirmed when I went back. My first doctor (I went before Br. Yachin Bao) told me that I did not have astigmatisms at all. When I told Dr. Yachin Bao about my worries, she said that as a human, almost every person has astigmatisms, I gave you astigmatisms to prevent your nearsightedness getting worse! And she yelled at her employees: "I insisted on my old prescription! That's it, I got a meeting! Please don't bother me!" I was shocked!! Then I had a third doctor checked my eyes without telling her my old prescription. She said I do not have any astigmatisms at all. She checked for several times and pretty sure about my prescription! If there is any where I can report, I will definitely report Dr. Yachin Bao that gave me wrong prescription! Still remember that on my exam day, she seems to be in a hurry as she usually does ( never understand why she is always like that. Even though we paid them money for her time, you can still feel that she wants to end your eye exam in a minute!! If you ever ask any eyes related question, she will be answering you with her "professional words" with an very arrogant attitude which is warning you to stop asking any such stupid questions!!) Doesn't care about her patients. She packs her schedule too full and wait time can range from 1-2 hours to see her for 10 minutes. She told me to call her due to a power outage (which she failed to inform her patients of and I left work to go all the way to her office, to find out that she closed it..), and I have called her for the past 3 days and her receptionist gives me a time range that she'll call, and she has NOT called yet. Only reason she gets at least 2 stars is that she got a decent education and has knowledge to prescribe a prescription enough for me to see clearly. Otherwise, going to her office for a check up is a hassle. I advice anyone to find someone that cares and doesn't see her patients merely as money! read more

I would advise anyone of thinking of using this center to be very CAUTIOUS. We've used this business in the past when it was ProVision, but the business has been sold and the new owner , Yachin Bao, O.D, does not have your best interest at heart. They seem to be only interested in generating revenue. I went there to have an eye exam for RGP contacts, the exam was administered by another part time doctor and seem to be fine. Afterwards, the doctor advised me to have my contacts purchased there to avoid any issues with fitment, which is tested at a later date and was included in the exam price. I kindly asked the price of the contacts knowing most brick and motar stores can not match online pricing and would most likely have a slight markup. I was astonished when they wanted 200.00 for a pair of contacts that can be purchased online for around 60.00. So declined and I asked for a prescription, so I could purchase the contacts online. After receiving the contacts, I went back for the fitment. At that point in time, they advised me since I purchased the contacts online that I need to pay them another 55.00 just for fitment and that all services for the exam concluded when they handed me the prescription. This was not mentioned to me until I returned back for fitment and I argued that I knew I was responsible for any issues with the contacts, but the standard of care should follow through with the fitment in order to avoid any issues. Needless to say, they were very rude and abrupt and would not fullfill their agreement without additional payment. So please be very careful in dealing with this business, keep all reciepts just in case you need to pursue legal action against them for issues with your eyes. But better yet it to avoid them at all costs. THEY'RE ONLY INTERESTED IN YOUR WALLET, NOT YOUR EYES!!!! read more

What a wonderful experience today with Dr. Bao who was not only thorough and very helpful but the entire staff was as well. This was our first experience with this Dr. and this center and today could not have gone better. I was able to get a late appointment 2 days after I made the first phone call to the facility. When I called I was able to verify benefits right over the phone so there were no surprises today when we went to the appointment. We will be recommending Dr. Bao to everyone and will be sending people to them after having such a wonderful experience today! read more
