I have to say something about this vision center and Dr. Bao since I don't want other people to be victim like myself. I had my eye check there on Apr 25, 2017 when I felt uncomfortable first time. Later on, it turns out I had conjunctivitis. After Dr. Bao gave three different eye drops, the situation still didn't get better. Until mid of June, Dr. Bao recommended me to go to medical center, I finally lost my patient. Regardless how bad experience during those 2 months, I don't have any concrete evidence to prove how many percentage responsibility this vision center and Dr. Bao should take. But that accident leave a scar around the corner of my left eye's cornea. Here I just list one concrete evidence to see how bad service they provided. On May 18, 2017, Dr. Bao recommended "Homeopathic Eye Drops For Tear Stimulation" to relief my dry eyes, I spend 19.99$ to buy it. But after I used for almost a week, I suddenly found that eye drop they gave to me already expired on Nov 2016. (I will upload picture if I find where I can do that.) Please be very CAUTIOUS before you decide to go to Eagle Eye Center!

While browsing, staff watched me closely, making me feel like a potential thief rather than a customer. It was frustrating and left a poor first impression. Pros: Acknowledged walk-ins exist. Cons: No proactive scheduling option or follow-up. Uncomfortable, watchful atmosphere. Lacked warmth and welcoming service. Suggestions: offer future-appointment options, greet customers, explain wait times, and create a friendlier, more inviting environment.

I also understand that it's a mechanism eye doctors use to protect themselves from lawsuits. I come from a line of surgeons, and they find methods to curb malpractice lawsuits everyday. Things are going to get worst for Texas businesses in general when transplants begin to saturate the the local market with skilled professionals, which has already begun. Dr. Somji is a super approachable and superbly knowledgeable, actually old-school practitioner. The smartest nice guy AND the nicest smart guy you'll meet for a long time. I'm glad to see medical students training here under impeccable role models, Doc and Staff. State-of-the-art diagnostic tech and they'll FULLY explain any of it for you.

Communication is our biggest obstacle between client and business and vice versa. We don't think about what could be happening behind the scenes and we aren't able to make adjustments that can fix a situation if we don't communicate. I absolutely love Dr. Somji, he really cares about his business, his staff, his clients and the product he produces. I have trusted Horizon eye care with my vision since well before Dr. Somji became the owner and will continue to do so. When I changed health care companies it was my intent to use my insurance but knowing my doctor and staff was much more important to me. Thus I come back. The selection they have runs the gamut and I must say plays into my vanity. If I am going to wear glasses I at least want to look stylish. We change our clothes with the season, why shouldn't we change our frames too. Glasses are a necessary evil but our eyes can't be replaced so I trust mine to the best. ( If you read my prior review know that sometimes we say things we wish we hadn't and no matter what we regret.) I know how lucky we are to have a provider in Sugar Land as excellent as Dr. Somji and hope that he will be here for a very long tome to come. Thank you doc.

Just a quick updated on their Halloween contact lens selection…read more I was extremely embarrassed and shy to ask the reception people if they sell these contacts because it almost seems like you're asking the dentist which candy they recommend...but please note that it's ILLEGAL to buy lens anywhere else than your eye doctor. I've read up on it and it's to discourage buying really crappy and unsterile products from off-market. They were very nice on phone and in person, you should REALLY order 2 weeks-3 weeks before Halloween because some items are more custom drawn. I saw: zombie, vampire, spinning top, hellraiser etc designs. NO SCLERA, that's more theatrical purposes. I got my traditional vampire lens a week after order. insurance does NOT cover this of course, it's cosmetic and I paid $60 I think for 2 lens. You can come back after you wear them and they will reseal the lens in the vials they come in. I unfortunately did not find the lens super comfortable. It might be because I have some chronic dryness from previous contact use and am used to the very breathable and light daily disposables. These are somewhat thicker but vision was great, I used drops to moisten eye etc. Will re-order for next Halloween!

Dr. Salchak will take advantage of the elderly, see every client before and after their appointment time, and question your optometry knowledge when you press him on his inability to do his job in a timely manner. Pathetic and lousy, and highly recommend AVOIDING him. TLDR: 2 hour appointment which should've taken 30-60 minutes, watching every client who showed up after my appointment time be seen and cleared before me.
