But Kim called me right back and arranged for a repair person to arrive almost immediately. It was fixed quickly and with a year warranty. This time my high end refrigerator was making a noise that they assured me was a normal sound associated with the defrost feature in my freezer/ice maker. While they were here however, they cleaned and vacuumed the compressor and other components, then fixed a hinge switch. All for just the service call which was very reasonable and less that I expected. Still super happy.

Not only did John at North County respond, but he also spent a bunch of time on the phone with me trying to troubleshoot my problem and sharing his expert knowledge. After coming out, he quickly dug in, found the problem (a root lifted the outlet line as seen in the photo), fixed it, and charged a fair price. While he was here, I had him put in some manhole covers and an observation port to make servicing easier in the future. All that in about 1/2 a day. Very happy with my experience with John saving the day!

Chris/Marni were clear communicators throughout the process, letting me know what was realistic and where I'd need other subs (e.g., turning the stairs from an open to a closed stringer). Sometimes when subs primarily work with GCs (versus home owners) it can be intimidating and/or confusing. Not with Marni/Chris. Berlin's message was simply saying I have a package to be picked up. AT NO TIME DID SHE TELL ME IT HAD TO BE PICKED UP THAT DAY BY 5:00 P.M. As I was not available to call or pick up package within her time frame, I arrived at the store at 9:00 a.m. on 11/11/25 to pick up the package which were legal documents and a key required for a morning meeting on 11/12/25. When I arrived, I was told my package was returned to FEDEX since I did not pick up the package when they had called. Although the store is open until 6:00 p.m. I learned the package was returned at 5:00 p.m., so had stopped in the day they called, coming in after 5:00 p.m. the package would have ALREADY been returned. TOTAL INCOMPETENCE on Berlin's behalf. While I do not have a box there, Berlin should have had used common sense and inform me if I did not pick up the package by 5:00 p.m., it would be returned. But again, her voicemail simply said to pick up the package; they were opened until 6:00 p.m. Of course when I asked to speak with the manager, I was told Vera would not be in until later in the week. My number was left; it will be interesting to see if I receive a return call. Due to the lack of customer service and the incompetence of Berlin, I will again be using the other FEDEX location in Fallbrook located in the Major Market shopping center. I've used their services in the past with any issues and was always very satisfied. It's a bit farther, but it is worth the drive time to deal with someone who uses common sense. The closer proximity of the other location (In the same center as Northgate Market.) is NOT worth the incompetence.

Total…read moreincompetence . again very sad to report , I went to the shop to have some copies made and send off important documents to my CC company , Pre-addressed I inserted my copies and asked for the postage amount , I was told 2oz and a 97 cent stamp was affixed to my 9 x 12 envelope. When I was billed I was surprised to learn of a 53 cent surcharge for the convince stamp = Had that been disclosed I would not have purchased it there as my intention was to run it to the Post Office for a quick departure . I arrived at the Post Office and brought my parcel to the counter to obtain a receipt = The Postal Worker informed me that the envelope had insufficient postage and I need to pay a additional 80 cents due to the large envelope. I paid and sent my envelope off to the CC company I returned to Goin Postal and explained what had transpired = The person there said they needed to contact the manager (?) I said not only did you not disclose the surcharge at your place but you gave me the wrong amount for postage - The worker at the USPS counter said it would have been better than 50% chance the envelope would have been returned (which would have been a disaster) Having been in retail for a lifetime I know what I would have done - Admit the magnitude of your mistakes and make a honest attempt to satisfy the situation -- Instead I was told we can do nothing for some convoluted reason - NO BUENO Total incomparable / No supervision need to think twice before trusting them again !
