I hired an ethernet cable installation company with a 5 star YELP rating that was terrible. They…read moredid a lot of damage to my property including breaching my home's vapor barrier. That allowed humidity into the walls and caused mold and paint blistering around my front entry door. I turned again to YELP to locate a company to remediate the results and find the cause or source of the problem. Alan's Restoration had the highest number of 5-star reviews so I took a chance and contacted them - now wary of the highly rated YELP reviews. Turns out this outfit is worth their 5-stars - and then some. EXCELLENT customer service including accurate and frequent communication, fast response, quick turnaround, friendly people and most important - when a substantial problem (that they did not create) developed during the project - they came back after completion and corrected it the next day. And I'm sure it was probably at their expense. Not many companies like this around anymore. I know that for sure from nearly 70 years of experience with 50 in project management. It's a real crap shoot these days when contracting with anyone on YELP or pretty much anywhere else, as I unfortunately found out with that cable company that caused this entire problem. So, I could not rate this company any higher and I recommend them more than any other I've dealt with in many decades. They yanked my bacon outa' the frying pan on this one.

After interviewing multiple companies, we chose Andrew and his team for our extensive mold…read moreremediation project (kitchen, three bathrooms, three bedrooms, HVAC closet). He was always prompt, and professional, and showed a very high level of integrity throughout our project. Maybe even more importantly, he understood what a significant impact this had on our family and approached us with a lot of compassion and support, helping to educate and guide us through the process. His proposal was fairly priced and there were no hidden fees. He was able to perform all work without needing to increase the scope of mold removal. His team took great care in ensuring we had all the steps and information necessary to complete our remediation protocol. They were even able to remove all of our granite countertops without any damage. They also took great care with our appliances. His work adhered to the schedule he laid out at the beginning of the project. We fully passed our follow-up testing so his team did a thorough job. We would (and do) highly recommend Andrew and his team to anyone in need of mold remediation. While we hope to never need mold remediation again, if there was ever a need, we would only use Andrew moving forward.

I wish I could give this company a higher rating but because of their poor corporate attitude…read moretoward customers, they will be glad for even 2 stars. JC Roofing replaced my roof this past summer. The crew did an excellent job, as far as I can tell. But when the boss came to collect the second half of my payment, I just happened to discover that there was an entire piece of siding missing from my house - located just between the roof line and front porch overhang. Apparently, the roofers weren't even going to tell me about it! When the boss came for my check, I pointed it out. His first excuse was that it was a paint-related issue - which they are not responsible for fixing. When I dismissed that, he then made the excuse that the crew must've removed whatever material was there so that they could finish the roof. I argued that, if that was the case, then the crew should have left that material/property there instead of discard it! What the roofers left behind is a completely exposed part of my house because they removed and discarded a piece of siding. My house now looks horrible to anyone who notices it from outside. I should have withheld the payment until they fixed it, but I naively trusted the boss when he promised that he'd have someone come out and look at it. So, I made the final payment. Of course, I never heard back from them. Now, I am left with this missing siding that exposes my house. I am unable to add a replacement siding or paint over what's exposed because I don't have a tall enough ladder. I don't want to have to pay $400 for a ladder just for this! I called them back, asking if they would at least loan me a ladder so that I can fix it myself. They agreed, promising to come the next day. They never showed up and didn't even bother calling me to tell me not to wait around! When I called and asked why they never showed up, they said they could not lend their ladder because their insurance policy forbids it. This is inexcusable poor corporate behavior - whatever happened to customer service? They still argue that this was a "paint-related issue" which in customer contracts it clearly states is not their responsibility. However, this was NOT a paint issue - this was the removal and disposable of personal property. They should've never discarded property off my house in the first place; then, hid it from me; then ultimately refused to help repair what they did. I paid nearly $10,000 for the roof - the least they could have done is repair their own damages or at least helped me be able to repair what they've done. I still don't know when I will ever get around to repairing the damage they left behind. My advice to other customers: You can hire this company for doing the bare minimum - building a decent roof. But do not expect them to go beyond that bare minimum - not even when it includes just a basic fix for a mistake they made themselves.

JC Roofing just finished re-roofing our roof at Crystal Beach. We had a leak and fortunately for…read moreus, they were able to postpone another job that had no leaks so that our roof could be installed quickly, thus preventing more leaking. They replaced all the flashing and all shingles. What a BEAUTIFUL JOB! Though our roof was only 10 years old, the previous roofer not only used the wrong nails which were backing out, but also left gaps in the flashing, all of which were creating repeated leaks during the past 3 years. In addition to using the right nails, JC Roofers hand nailed each shingle, instead of using a nail gun. And they did a great job cleaning up when finished. They also hauled off stored left over shingles from the previous roofing job, as well as left some extra shingles in the event that I need them in the future.
