As I strolled by the island, I stumbled upon this winery, and it did not appear to be crowded inside so I decided to come in and whine down. Ambiance in here was quiet, dimmed lights, not too bright and very clean. Matt assisted me that day and was extremely informative overall. He is very patient and kept up with my conversation. You can tell Matt is passionate about the wines this place carries. He was very confident about each wine as he would introduce each pour (I did a wine tasting, including five different wines) I prefer red wine over white and usually more on the sweet side; to be exact- I do love Lambrusco wine. However, all the red wines that I tasted here were very delightful and worth it. Started off with a favorite "Sangiovese" from Walla Walla and Red Mountain 15% alcohol, smooth not too bitter for my likings and is one of the top choices. 5/5 Up next was "Redtail" A Right bank inspired blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. Perfect for everyday sipping! Blend: 25% Merlot 61% Cabernet Sauvignon 14% Cabernet Franc) 15.3% alcohol This one would pair well with a nice steak to enjoy. 5/5 Continued with a glass pour of "Condor" Left Bank Bordeaux style blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot Alcohol: 14.9% Another delicious red wine that pairs well with steak, grilled meat, BBQ due to the tannins in the red wine this tends to enhance the red meat well. 5/5 "Reserve Merlot" 100% Merlot 14.8% alcohol another delicious red wine pour. This wine is best enjoyed with pasta, seafood and poultry dishes. Very good and smooth as well. 5/5 "Petite Sirah" on the dry side, which Matt stated people aren't usually a fan of but for me, I am not a picky individual and I thought it was delightful for my likings. My husband and I have been members of Eagle Harbor's wine club for about two years now. We are always pleased with their wines, particularly their red wines. My current favorites are the Condor, Cabernet Franc, and Sangiovese. We normally go to the Three Tree Lane location, which has a cute tasting room and avoids the busyness of downtown. I love wine tasting and do it often but somehow only made it to Eagle Harbor Wine Co recently. Had I known what I would be missing, I would have made a beeline here long ago! They are conveniently located in the Winslow Mall in central Bainbridge. Walking distance from the ferry and lots of parking nearby as well. My friends and I opted to sit at an outside table and customize our flights of four wines. The woman who served the wines was funny and personable and really made for an enjoyable experience. I opted for the Goldfinch White Blend (unoaked Chardonnay and Viognier), the Sauvignon Blanc, the Homme Nu Super Tuscan blend (Sangiovese and Cab Sauv), and the Syrah. I loved each one and ended up purchasing 9 bottles that day. My friends enjoyed their wines so much that they joined the wine club. I'm already a member of another club but am considering joining this one as well. I'm really looking forward to returning to try more wines and highly recommend a visit the next time you're in Bainbridge. read more

I've tried three out of four wineries right at the ferry terminal/downtown Bainbridge area. Eagle Harbor was definitely my favorite for the wine, the service, the pricing, and the space. This shop is small, about 6 bar stools around the counter and 2-3 small tables against the wall behind the counter (for couples). We came in with a group of 5 and took up the entire counter. All opting for their $12 wine flight, we tried four different kinds of wine (red or white flights). I went for all red wines, but there was the option to substitute one for a new rosé which I did happily. All were great but the Homme Nu 2016 red blend was the best!!! I'm kicking myself for not buying a bottle while I was there! Just one of the smoothest, best red blends I've ever had that I now want to bring to every dinner party. Juliet (I think was her name) was working there and took great care of us. She was personable, knowledgeable, and engaging even when we were spread across the entire counter. Bonus from here: there is a small bakery right outside the door. So, after some wine, it's a great place to grab a coffee or snack! And meet a cute doggo or two. read more

Chip's expertise encouraged us to try several tastings of Eagle Harbor brands. Having been to Napa several times, we were particularly happy to find out that WA. The wife and I wanted taste some wine today. We went to another winery today and were disappointed in that establishment. We decided to give another location a shot. We ended up at Eagle Harbor and elected to do the $12 wine tasting option. My wife went for the whites and I went for the reds. This is when we met the owner, "Emily". She is a gem!!!! She personally poured our glasses for each of the four rounds. The glasses were half fully. This even included a half a glass of their $70 red. Look, I don't know much of anything about wine. She took the time to explain the menu and personally gave us a tour of the facility. She even gave us recommendations for food and offered us a magazine on tasting locations in eastern WA to stop at when we travel that way. Hell, we even stayed past their closing and talked with Lisa and others about anything in life. Let me tell you, I like sweeter wines than what they offer but their selections were through the roof. People were purchasing cases and having them shipped to California. This tells you something... this place is worth a stop. I do not give out very many 5 stars but these guys earned it. Stopped in here when we saw the wine tasting sign and had a wine tasting with 4 red wines and 1 white wine for only $12. All of the wines were local options and pretty good, though I wish they had the option of either all white, all red, or more of even split between red and white. I also wish there was more personal touch to the experience as it is a pretty small space. It seems like most people move through the tasting very quickly and there isn't much personalization or information during the tasting. read more

We were so impressed bu not only the quality of their wine, but their service was beyond what we have experienced anywhere else. The owner spent so much time with us to help us really identify the qualities in a wine we don't amd do not like. Their wine was great but we paid for a wine tour...it was 4 tastings each. Me and my 4 friends got 2 tastings each then he said they were closing so we har to leave. He didn't give us a warning at all just said we're closed now when I asked for my 3rd tasting...I have no idea why he wouldn't at least give us a 10 minute warning or something..Anyway this mans name was chip. He was so extremely rude I was honestly too shocked to say anything...and we paid in advance so we wasted money. I was gonna buy a bottle & he literally told me no bc they were closed now. I'm sure the owners would probably be cool if you let me stay the extra 2 mins to buy a $70 bottle of wine. read more

Cute spot and good wine. Reason for the low review is the lack of concern for sanitization. We asked very politely if our table could be wiped down after we assumed it from the previous guests. The staff member told us the wine stains were permanent. When we said that wasn't our concern, but COVID is, she said "oh, we're more relaxed over here." She got a little wipe, but it took some convincing and I'll be honest that we were uncomfortable the remainder of the time. If that is her thought, I'm guessing she isn't sanitizing her hands before bringing our glasses, handling people's cards, switching wine pourers. read more

Really disappointed in our visit. The server was wearing a mask but not covering her nose and walked out a couple times without a mask on all together and said "don't worry, I'm not sick". I also asked for water and she said they didn't have any but could give me a paper cup to fill up from the bathroom tap. Hovered a ton too. Absolutely loved the wines at this winery. We tasted a red flight and liked every single one. A true rarity for us. The next winery we visited we didn't care for a single one. By far the best winery on Bainbridge. We've tasted here quite a few times over the last 2 years and there hasn't been a bottle we haven't loved. A few of our favorites include Homme Nu, Syrah and Quanta. The service has always been fantastic and Emily has done a great job of creating a welcoming and fun environment. Loved the live music yesterday. The outdoor seating was plentiful and they do have open air indoor seats for those who feel comfortable. Chip, Emily and Jeff really went out of their way yesterday to ensure our party of 6 had a great time. Also, if you are coming from downtown, this is an east $10 taxi ride for 6 folx. This review is based on experience, not on the actual wines themselves. My girlfriend and I visited Bainbridge Island for lunch and to taste a flight of wine. I hadn't tried Eagle Harbor Wine Co. before and was excited to do so. I gave birth to my daughter two months ago, so she was in toe in the stroller. Before my friend and I were even able to reach the door, the employee working came outside to block us and immediately/rudely said, "Strollers aren't allowed." No hi, nothing. She said it was a rule set in place by the fire department because their tasting room is so small; which makes sense. She offered to let us sit outside - it was 40 degrees and windy - so we declined. I then asked if I put the stroller in the car and brought the carrier in if that would be okay. Her reasoning for refusing us service yet again then changed to children not been allowed because they have no running water. I understand if children aren't allowed because of the type of liquor license the establishment possesses, but this no strollers/no children policy should be posted on their website and on the door. I didn't see this policy when I looked at the website before deciding to come here and I suppose if it was posted on the door I wouldn't have had the chance to read it seeing as we were stopped before making it that far. If my friend, baby and I had been allowed to walk in the door, given a friendly greeting and then had the rules explained to us I wouldn't be leaving this review. read more
