Eagle LA is a great place. It's open all seven days of the week as early as 4pm during the weekdays and by 2pm on Saturdays and Sundays. It's got a nice layout with a huge rectangular bar in the main center room and usually one to two bartenders on deck and a barback as well depending on the day or night of the week. On weekends and more senior events like Meat Rack Saturdays, Bluf leather formal event nights and Outlaw (western themed) you'll definitely find the outside-ish bar, closests to their patio open and even their back bar near the lockers available for their employees and first come first serve (bring your own lock). Additionally they have some coat racks across from the main bar. This place is stacked with a solid sound system, great djs, a stage for events including Eagle LA Live Sundays with a live bands from 4pm to 8pm on the last Sunday of every month. I've been a semi-regular at the Eagle for a few years. Especially the more I've surrounded myself with some great people and made new connections and friends along the way. I pop in a handful of times of month for either their Sunday Beer Bust, monthly Bear Happy Hour (first Thursday of every month), Cruise LA - an awesome vendor mart w/ performers and demos (every third Saturday afternoon), for special events, seasonal occasions and/or titleholder contest (Christopher Street West, Eagle LA Leather, Mr. Sister Leather, Regiment of the Black & Tans, Leather Bear LA, Bear(s) LA... which I actually competed in back in the fall of 2023 and more). A lot of LA based lgbtq+ clubs host events and gatherings here from Onyx to SoCal Leather to Avatar Club LA. Additionally a lot of local sports teams (Rebellion Rugby, Honey Badgers Softball Team, and Spread Eagle Dodgeball to name most) as well as organizations are displayed throughout on their walls in cases and/or in plagues, especially all the Eagle LA Leather titleholders. Restrooms are men's and a private single use all gender restroom. Take your pick of one of two billiard tables if you enjoy pool (a lot of pros play here, including a local league - friendly heads up). There's one table inside in the far back corner and one near the patio where it's open air pulled up gates. You can find seating seldomly throughout with chairs around the bars, bench lined around the main inside and back bar and some stools and tables or even make shift barrel tables through the patio. They have a full bar and typically good drink specials as well as prices for domestic, imports, tap or draft brews. It's cash only, but they do have two atms available (one near the dj booth) and the other next to a multi-arcade game. It's a 21+ queer leather bar, that said always enter with an open mind as anything is possible at the Eagle LA. Almost always fun and occasionally you may run into a celebrity like Doja Cat or John Waters, who me and my guy got to chat up for a little bit not too long ago. Really nice people. Give the respect you'd want to be give and remember people are people. Consent of all forms is the best practice and that parking is a journey, especially here on weekends after 6pm, but you can luck into some residential spots with a little bit of a walk. Bring your ID as they do card, more so for new faces and the less frequented. Pete works the door a lot and is a great guy. They don't serve food here, but outside food is typically okay and occasionally they do have food vendors like Sugar Daddy's Cookies and others. Eagle LA has definitely grown and evolved in a variety of ways including standing with and supporting our Trans community #TransLivesAreHumanLives #TransLivesAreBeautiful #BetterTogether #StrongerTogether I definitely enjoy coming here to support all at Eagle and all the staff like Bourbon, Grant, Jesse, Marcus, Matias, Robert, Scott, Seth and everyone who make this space what it is else especially the owners Charlie and Hunter.

This is a great place however, you need to be careful when you're parking your car here because people are targeting bystanders to break their windows and steal their stuff from inside so make sure you Uber to this place but don't drive here. It's been happening a lot recently, and the bar hasn't done anything to protect their customers.

I understand ID policies. I had lost my ID and only had photos of my passport and identification, so I asked politely if there was any way I could come in. I also mentioned I wasn't drinking just there for a friends birthday. What followed was honestly one of the most uncomfortable interactions I've ever had at a business. Instead of giving a simple yes or no, the security guard began loudly berating me for several minutes in front of a full line of people. He repeatedly said things like "what kind of person doesn't bring their ID" over and over again, questioned my intelligence, and spoke about me to my friend instead of addressing me directly. I stayed calm and kept saying it's completely fine if the answer is no - I just needed an answer. But he continued escalating, repeating himself, and making the situation more and more uncomfortable. At one point, people in line were visibly confused and reacting to what was happening. I ended up leaving crying, shaken and upset, which is not something I've ever experienced from simply asking a question at the door of a bar. I have never been so confused and shaken up this is such concerning behavior. Again, I fully respect policies. A simple "no, sorry" would have been completely fine. This review is only about the way the situation was handled. It felt unnecessarily aggressive and honestly unstable, and it created a very uncomfortable environment not just for me, but for everyone standing there. I hope management is aware of how their staff is representing the business, because this kind of interaction leaves a lasting impression.

Just after lunch and looking for something to do, this place sounded good. Plus we were in the neighborhood. The other times I've been it was alway fun so today we were hopping to continue the fun. Well it did just that. First off, it was quite mellow when we walked in at the bar area. There were a few people while we were ordering. Bartenders was quite sweet. Remembered us from the last time which was nice. To our surprise, it happened to be Bingo that afternoon. Clearly none of us knew anything about it but hey, let's play bingo. The best part, it was free. Everything was supplied for you. Grab your games and dabber and go to town. The hostess with the mostess was amazing. She made the game more interesting. Maybe half an hour to it, the place picked up a lot. Pretty much people kept joining in with the games. Our group did win some rounds which was pretty cool. Prizes were a bit all over the place. A table which you choose what you want. Things rang from pillows, candies, sweets, to some intimate pieces...Lol.... It was hilarious. There was a few intermission for a little performance from the hostess. Lip sync for your life with some tips in hand. It was a fun afternoon not expecting anything. I think there's something that happens every now and then. Not sure what the schedule is like but we happened to stop by on a fun afternoon. Cheap drinks, free bingo and friendly crowd. What more can you ask for. Definitely will be back.

We easily found a place to sit on the shaded outdoor dining area, all the time people were going inside the adjacent dining and dancing area for one of the Abbey's famous drag shows. I ordered the guacamole bacon cheeseburger with fries and my guest had the Philly Cheesesteak. My burger was cooked perfectly and looked great. The fries were fair, nothing to write home about. My guest loved his Philly Cheesesteak and it brought memories of the last time he ordered one more than a decade earlier. It's only fair that I mention the conduct of one of thr employees who appears to be a host. There was an ethnic couple (probably middle eastern) siting at the table next to us, dining and enjoying their meal, when this employee approached them and singled them out because of their ethnicity. He fawned all over them, loudly, apparently trying to be welcoming, all the while addressing them as "you people" and "we are open to people like you dropping in for a gold time." While he clearly wanted to be nice, he came off as condescending and racists and was very annoying to my guest and me and people at another table who muttered "what an idiot." On the positive sign the middle eastern couple didn't appear to be annoyed but, still, that's not the way first time guests should be addressed. We dropped in on the drag show after lunch but all seats were taken so we decided not to stand in the corner and watch. Getting smart, especially a good seat means arriving about an hour before the show. Today's show began at 1:30 pm. There are nearby parking lots, pricy and neighborhood parking if one can tolerate a moderate walk. The Abbey is an ice place to go, especially on Friday and Saturday nights. Dining is pretty good and their menu is not big. But they still have a nice variety of dishes.

Unauthorized Tip Added After I Closed My Tab…read more I came here for my friend's birthday and ordered a $15 drink. Unfortunately, the bartender was rude and dismissive, so I chose not to leave a tip. I closed my tab immediately, signed the receipt, left the tip line blank, and kept both copies of the receipt. My Cash App card was originally charged $15 that night, but the following day the transaction changed to $16. I did not authorize an additional $1 tip or charge. It's only a dollar, but that isn't the point. Customers should be able to trust that the amount they authorize on a receipt is the amount they are actually charged. Between the bartender's attitude and the unexplained additional charge, this was a very disappointing experience. I've kept my receipts and will be disputing the difference if it isn't corrected.
