Sunday Funday shenanigans with my brothers brought us to Hi-Tops. The place is spacious and it was packed on a Sunday evening. There are big screen TVs along the wall for your viewing pleasure - the NFL Playoffs were on. Rams vs Bears. The music was bumping and the line to the bar was 3 deep, so I was unable to see a drink menu. I asked my brothers to bring me back a vodka soda. It got the party mode going. Bathrooms are gender neutral and there is a security guard to direct you to the next available restroom and prevent more than one person going in at a time. They also serve food but we had already eaten. Good vibes, good music, & stiff drinks are why this is one of my brothers' go to spots on a night out. read more

Ok is not acceptable when each burger comes out to about 28 dollars. The place was way too loud and you couldn't get into the March Madness games. Went to Hi-tops for a couple times during our weekend here, and had a good time everytime we came! We also got food on different times. We got wings once and fries another. The Buffalo wings were delicious and savory with a perfect tang. So good, completely devoured them! And the fries cane with so much in a serving! The drinks were fine, it helped going for happy hour! On a Saturday night, it was so busy. We had to navigate a closed metal tin of sardines, but we made it work. Great vibe and friendly staff! read more

I checked out this Hi Tops location (not to be confused with the Hi Tops in Los Feliz) on a Monday night with a friend. It wasn't too busy and we were able to get a table to grab a drink. I appreciated that our waiter, Jason, let us know, as it got closer to the kitchen closing for the night, that they were doing $0.25 chicken wings and drinks specials. I was able to get 20 chicken wings for $5, which in LA is a steal. They were hot, juicy, and smothered in buffalo sauce. The perfect late night snack. I appreciated the atmosphere at this Hi Tops and all the different TVs they had playing every conceivable sport with a game on, plus competitive wood working. This was a fun experience and I would definitely go again. read more

Oh Hi Tops... my first favorite bar in WeHo! I think this place offers a lot. Great atmosphere, kind bartenders, trivia nights, and even the food is decent! WeHo isn't known for clubs with good vibe and I'd say Hi Tops actually has good stuff to offer on their menu. I like the vibe here. We always go dancing here when we go out. It's not too light / not too dark and you can still have a conversation even when the music is at its loudest because they have a pretty decent patio space. I will say the last couple of times going to Hi Tops, there were playing the same songs as the other bars but that's just because that's the kind of music that's popular right now. I guess that makes sense. I like the disco ball - I feel like it adds a ton to the vibe. Hi Tops is a sports bar without rubbing it too much in your face. It's like we know they appreciate sports here but it's not screaming that you need to love sports to hang out here. It's just a place where sports are embraced, we'll go with that. We came here for Disney Trivia recently and it was super fun! The host was nice and engaging and it was great weather. They had plenty of seating and gave away good prizes. Objectively one of the worst clubs I've been to in LA, for 3 main reasons: 1) The People: The crowd was extremely rude, pushy, and handsy. They spilled drinks on my group and elbowed us apart. 2) The Ambiance: It felt like they had no ventilation at all. It was damp, humid, and smelled stale inside. The floors were also wet for some reason. 3) The Music: Super boring -- nothing deeper than the Billboard Top 40s. The dj also had some really strange transitions. read more

Had a great interaction with Gio a few weeks ago. Great service and great, down to earth conversation. Julio is always amazing too. He makes some of the best drinks. Overall, hi tops is one of my favorite spots in Weho and staff is so welcoming and warm. Daniel, Taylor and previously Chris. I'm sure there are other names, including front door staff. that I can't think of right now. Not my favorite spot when it's too packed though but I love coming here for daytime drinks, early evening beer and a burger, or Sunday Funday. Service is overall good. They have tons of seating on (you guessed it) high top tables and stools. They offer food as well but we did not try anything. They have a good happy hour where well drinks were $6 I think until like 7pm. However I may not recommend their cocktail menu as it felt expensive. Paid $35 for the haterade drink since it game in a fake Gatorade bottle. The drink itself was not good but it was a ton so I'll give them that. However I did not like the taste and it felt super expensive especially when you don't know the price until you pay since they don't show the price. So you'd think I had already been to Hi Tops on Market in the Castro. But no, I've walked by but never been. Probably because it was usually crowded and there was some "game" on. I'm not big on sports talk. Well, Jamie W. and I were doing a bit of WeHo barhopping having had our first drink at Mother Lode. Yep, it was crowded, and yep, there was a game on. It's the second Hi Tops after the Castro location, and there's already a third one just opened in Los Feliz. Obviously they've hit on a winning formula for the weekend jock set. Probably not us though. We stuck around for their somewhat pricey craft cocktails. Hi Tops is a cool spot. Good eats, great beats and actually some seats. This bar, grill and nightclub in casual West Hollywood is on the Santa Monica Blvd cluster of lgbtq+ bars, businesses and establishments that almost never sleep. You'll notice H.T. near places like Stache, Guisados of WeHo and not far Gym Bar. Like most establishments you'll show your ID just before the patio entrance into the bar and may even run into people you know like we did after dinner the other night. I guess I have friends in all places lol. You can squeeze your way toward the bar, paths can get tricky... If you've got a taller friend or companion with you, let them lead the way or just use your best judgement. Drinks as well as food is pretty reasonable. Well drinks around $12 each and up with speciality cocktails starting around$15 and up. It's mostly bar/pub like food - think burgers, wings and loaded things including big salads with extra everything. Vegan, vegetarian and even gluten-free friendly options. I was really glad I stopped in once my date pulled me in by the hand and got our first round of drinks. We made our way over to the table top shuffle board game they have and hang and dance to some of the best mixes of music I've heard though Stache definitely raised the bar. We couldn't really play any bar games as a lot of areas were in need of a little tlc after the dinner rush, but we had a blast. Overall Hi Tops is a little messy, but she's alright with me! Recommend for food anytime (kudos on portion sizes), bar fun also... just find a good spot inside or on the patio area overlooking the blvd fills up fast!! Q Tip: Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays are always busy and the food rush before the night sets in is massive. Expected tables full of trays, empty drinks, napkins, etc to be stacked as staff attempts to bus tables throughout the night. Never have I ever seen more than one bussers with full bins and still so many areas covered in people's leftovers... If they had a designated area to drop off cups or trays after meals I think it could cut down before the rush. I'm all for clearing my space at establishments that offer it. I want bars to be profitable , I want the bartenders to get paid and tipped , I want the entertainers to get paid and tipped ... what I don't want is to pay the guts of $20'for a drink . I'm looking at prices and bars at 5% capacity and scratching my head wondering who's not joining the dots ... 5 people, average 3 drinks @ $ 18 =$270 50 people , average 3 drinks @$12 =$1800 A 750 ml bottle of Tito's retails at $22.50 - it's about 26 Oz . Average pour in a cocktail 1.5 oz Cocktail alcohol cost $1.29 Do I understand all the added costs of rent, labor, insurance, entertainment - absolutely not but I also don't understand the concept of charging $20 per drink and having an empty bar. Who is doing the math at these bars ?? Waking up the morning after 3 drinks with a friend and dropping $164 in the process sucks balls !! It gives me EVERY reason to entertain at home . I've been coming here since it was Marvin's Pharmacy, then the Horn (short lived), Bar 10, and now Hi Tops since around 2018. I would say it's my second favorite WeHo bar, noting that my drinking days are behind me and I'm focused more on food and ambiance. The food is excellent for a WeHo bar. Maybe the best, or tied with 33 Taps. The menu is probably a bit more refined than 33 taps but smaller. During the day or early evening it's a nice spot to relax or have dinner. Always has had very good service, clean, laid back. The only problem is that on Sundays and Fri/Sat nights it's too popular for its own good. For some reason this is the trendy hotspot for WeHo locals. But it's only meant to be a small restaurant, not the #1 bar in town. So it is uncomfortably packed at peak hours and the bar layout doesn't work. read more

When trying to get assistance taking my dress off in the restroom and needing a friend inside with me, their security guard informed me of their "1 person per bathroom rule," I explained that I couldn't use the restroom without taking my dress off, and he, very rudely said "take it off and put it on the door, you think I care enough to lose my job over this?" it was unnecessary and made it an uncomfortable experience. I said "okay but I'm not going to undress in front of all these people here?" He said "again, that's not my problem, I don't care. im a 21yr old local who has regularly been to this club- it's decent at best. i went there with friends this last friday, excited to just dance and have fun, but a security guard (his name is eduar­do at least that's what he told me and refused to give any more information) randomly started yelling at me in the middle of the dance floor and interrogated me in front of everyone, even making me "prove" my own iphone was mine. I don't know why he was so confident that i was a "bad guy" being that i myself have been victim to pickpocketers more than once. I'd hate to think it has anything to do with me being a latino male with a pink phone case, but despite all it was humiliating, ruined my night, and felt completely unprofessional. when i asked for his name as i was leaving on my own accord, he refused to give it to me and was overall very immature and unprofessional as a security guard. all in all I feel like this club definitely caters to certain types of people and treats others certain types of ways. I was doing nothing wrong at all literally just minding my business, but he grabbed my arm and was yelling at me to unlock my phone and prove it was mine. I don't even understand how this is legal or just at all. I mean, say that I was holding my friend's phone while he was in the restroom. Would he have accused me and done something worse if I couldn't unlock it it's just absolutely weird and unprofessional and disgusting as someone who is a local to the area and was dressed very well not harming anyone or anything. i left on my own terms, but i've never been treated this way at a club in weho before. security should be about safety, not embarrassing paying guests. management needs to seriously review how their staff treat customers. read more

This will be the worst review for Hi Tops since it's only about food. Got dragged out here one night by a friend (I'm the worst wingman BTW) and they got a Greek salad, which I had to get on here and talk about. This wasn't authentic by any means, nor was it trying to be, but I really enjoyed this damn thing. The croutons were really good, and I was sober. Otherwise, the guy who rang us up and brought over the food was really nice, and I have no complaints. Might have to attempt their burger next. read more

This review is more about service and safety than anything. Everyone knows that there's certain places (ahem, Abbey) that you have to be extra careful at because of theft, and other things. I was so pleasantly surprised that when luck turned on me, Hi Tops had integrity. In a brief moment of enjoying the music, my brand new phone had fallen out of my pocket on to the floor. It must have been 90 seconds max before I noticed, but when I looked it was nowhere to be found. Immediately I went to the security guard to ask for help and he said a guy actually tried to turn in a phone and gave it to the bartenders. I found this kind stranger and confirmed he gave it to the bar. Not only did the bartenders keep the phone safe, they wouldn't give it to me without verifying I knew the passcode, and that it was actually mine! I fully expected this to be a lost cause but Hi Tops really came through. The people, the staff, the energy. Week after week I come here after soccer games, and it's always a pleasant experience. But this time I had to leave a review because my heart melted at the simple kindness everyone displayed here. I'm so glad there's places in our community that you can go to and TRULY feel safe in. I truly enjoy the place and the drinks were amazing! They would definitely get a 4 ... But there was a group that came in hours after us and we have been here multiple times. The security Gio did not want to let us back in after we walked the birthday girl out. I truly feel he was very very RACIST, due to the groups next to him coming up to us saying we were being loud , truly felt to discriminated by the security! Came here for a night out with a few friends on Saturday, September 9th, 2023 and we had two phones and some credit cards stolen. Someone else on here reported the same thing a few night before and it seems like a reoccurrence at this bar. I tried calling Hi Tops in WH but their phone is disconnected. I wonder why??? I think they intentionally disconnected their phones because they were getting multiple reports about things like this happening at Hi Tops WH. I sent an email and have yet to receive a response from the owner. My friend who got her phone and cards stolen is also going to email the manager at Hi Tops WH and see if they can get access to the footage from that night. I really hope they take this seriously and actually do something about it. This is just bad business and we absolutely will not be back. We are in the process of trying to file a police report but who knows if that will help. To the manager of Hi Tops WH be proactive and start taking steps to ensure security stays vigilant, implement background checks on all employees and make sure that all your patrons are safe while visiting your establishment. Stuff happens yes but this is a reoccurring issue at Hi Tops WH. It's clearly a problem and it will keep happening especially if people know they can get away with it in your establishment. I'm not sure if I'll be back there on a weekend night given the crowds, but the gesture was appreciated. **THEFTS OCCUR HERE FREQUENTLY** I'm a woman and strong ally of the LGBTQ community, and for the second time I have been robbed at this bar. The first time, someone stole my iPhone 12 Pro Max out of my back packet, which the bar staff was not at all helpful in searching/ pulling camera footage. Last night, I was wearing a small crossbody handbag with a zipper. The bar was packed shoulder to shoulder. While leaving the bar at 10pm, someone unzipped my bag and took my wallet out. I immediately noticed and turned around. The person ended up taking my cash and amex card and discarding the wallet and remaining cards on the floor. Security noticed and didn't do a THING except collect the items and hand them to me, which leads me to believe the staff of Hi Tops are either perpetuating the crime or involved in it to some extent. Yes, they may have security there but they are ineffective if not involved in the robberies altogether. Be warned, this place is a breeding ground for crimes of opportunity. The bouncer even warned us about it because it's so bad right now. I've been here for Tuesday Trivia Night and on a Saturday night. It is a completely different environment on Saturdays. It's a packed dance floor hence why theft is more likely to happen on busy nights. Whereas on Tuesdays, it's just a fun sports bar.
