Here's the thing, they did arrive and all of my belongings made it to Montana. What happened along the way was poor communication, my stuff arriving many days later then expected and it costing a lot more money, even with me over estimating the amount of space I needed. What I was not okay with and why I am posting a review is that I experienced sexual harassment. I'm a single woman and was moving by myself from Chicago to Montana, the Chicago moving crew showed up late, without the proper equipment to quickly load my boxes so I got a cart from the building to help move things myself, which put me in the freight elevator alone with one of the movers. He tried to kiss me, ask me if he could come back after the move to spend the night, he kept touching my shoulder and trying to hug me and tell me how nice I was and that he would come visit me in Montana. In a normal environment, I would tell him to leave me alone, here, he had all my belongings and I needed to get them both out of my condo and to Chicago. I sold my house and had to move within a couple of weeks. That was not enough time for respectable moving companies to schedule a walk thru and a read glowing reviews on a couple of websites about Eagle Moving Group (EMG). At the time, I did not realize that EMG pays a fee to the website for positive reviews, which are all fake. The rep that I booked the move with told me, I will be here every step of the way to assist with anything you need. As soon as the credit charge was approved she would not return calls, emails or text. Every document they provide and their website implies that they are a moving company. There is one small comment stating they are a broker. When you inform them of the amount and type of furniture and they provide a moving estimate, it is not really a moving estimate. Every cent of that goes in the pockets of EMG, then they sub it out to primarily Russian owned moving companies. Any wood furniture they moved has a least one chip out of the wood. They only used 2 moving blankets and both were mine. But they took a video of the one piece of furniture they covered with both blankets as proof that the furniture had been protected. There were 4 so called packers/movers and a foreman for two, 11 hour days and I packed half of the items. One guy did not speak English and I never witnessed him work at all. As soon as I walked into a room, he would leave. The foreman had them start loading items without my knowledge while I was in the basement. When I returned upstairs, the foreman had been hard at work with his pencil calculating additional charges. No choice but to agree and try to figure it out on the backend, since I was scheduled to close the following day and buyers move in the day after when their lease expired. The foreman informed me that I required a 2nd truck, so more charges. The reason is whether they actually know how to pack a truck or not, during the load they do not. Boxes were not stacked on top of one another, they were set next to each other to take up more space which required a 2nd truck. They completely destroyed my desk. Upon delivery, they hired 4 guys for a little cash side work. They were not movers and they told me this is just for a little extra cash. When I scheduled delivery of my goods, they guy tells me Friday. No show and unable to reach this guy over the weekend, so wait until Monday. He informs me that Friday begins the 30 window for the delivery. When they did finally arrive, we cannot remove the padlock from the truck until you pay another $1,200 cash. The truck they show up in is a Ryder rental. The bottom line is they have your money, soon they will have more, then you will notice the condition of your furniture, and to finalize this horrible experience with a kick to the tiny twos, the insurance is useless. The standard insurance included with the move is paid by weight, the cost of whatever they destroy has no meaning. If you want better insurance coverage, it will cost more than the move. I contacted the movers on 10/11. I have been working with Michael Covington. At first he was very helpful and stated I could contact him for help or assistance if needed . The move took place on 10/19 - according to Michael, he stated it could take around 5 days for the move to take place from NM to VA When they came to pick up my items on 10/19 - they came at 3pm when I was quoted a window of 8-10am . When they came they quickly started to load my items and then after a third of the items were loaded, the mover tries and tells me that I am going to owe more than what was quoted. - when I brought to his attention that I was quoted different, he says it's because I need about another 100-150 cubic feet but he won't truly know until everything is loaded in the truck and they can measure. **per federal law - they are not supposed to load anything until they provide a new updated estimate - they did not provide one!! When I brought to his attention the law, he apologized and said he forgot to tell me about the charges and should have done that right away. I contacted newstart during this conflict and talked to a Jamie who said he was contacting management for help but never received any correspondence- I called them again and got to Jamie and he basically told me there wasn't much they could do and if I felt comfortable , I can proceed with the move and they would credit back 20% of my deposit . I was basically stuck and I had a flight leaving the next day for Virginia. I had no choice but to go forward with the move and pay more than what was quoted - even though they broke federal law - I have proof of this that they did. I have not received anything back in terms of my deposit . My belongings have been picked up on 10/19 and it is 11/5 and they still have no updates whatsoever Michael Covington is of no help even when he says he will assist . He directs me to customer service and they are of no help. They have not updated me with any information or support as requested. I have asked for them to update me and they have not. They even claimed that they are not able to get in contact with cobra van lines, they even said they were closed on Halloween. Cobra has a 24/7 support line and I have been in contacted with a rep there, who also doesn't have a definite answer to when my items will arrive I am frustrated and will not recommend this broker to anyone. I am moving forward and will be placing reviews on any available platform notifying people of my experience I read the contracts and I understand them but the customer service and support is null in this company. Once payment was made to them they basically forgot who I am People beware!!! **it is 11/27 and I've finally gotten my items. This place is the scum of all companies - they are a brokerage and don't do the actual move and are the lowest of the low. If you appreciate your things, do not move with them. You tell them what they have - then they give you way below the square footage you need and on the day of the move the movers that they contract out to will charge you way more for what you had described. Then the movers will say the contract says they can take many days to deliver your stuff and for expedited shipping they can upcharge. If you are not ready to pay thousands more in upcharge then the local movers will take a fraction of what you originally wanted. The local movers that they used for this STOLE from my parents. He and others told us exactly whatever was best for them and what they thought we would want to hear at all stages of the move. Needless to say ONE star is too much. At the beginning they told us that they had a warehouse in the city we were moving to so we could get our boxes in very little time. This was NOT true. This company is one of the worst businesses in the country and should have no involvement with any associated moving services. As other reviewers have stated: AVOID AT ALL COST!! In December 2021, I had to organize a move from New Orleans to Iowa. The original estimate seemed realistic, but the refined estimate from the secondary company was well above any reasonable amount for furnishing of a 2-bedroom apartment. Upon further inventory on pick-up, the initial estimate of $2,175.67 increased to a total of $7,508 after the quality assurance review and I paid half for pick-up ($3,754.43). Approximately 200 Items, were held in storage in Louisiana during the time I was in the homebuying market in Iowa. After closing on my property, I requested the 23rd of May as an acquisition date. The final delivery happened over 3 months later with persistent phone conversation and anxiety. With many items damaged with puncture holes and broken glass frames, I estimated around $2,000 worth of damage and the delays. Be mindful that after taking your hard-earned money for the initial estimate, Eagle Moving washes their hands of any additional responsibilities. There is nothing majestic about this "eagle." We got connected with them explaining our situation and assured us that we would be taken care of and that this representative would support us from pick up to delivery. We were quoted $2719 without an in person assessment. Fast forward to pick up today and our quote went up to $3300 given that we had "more than expected". We signed the necessary paperwork, however we signed this paperwork while under stressed conditions of moving out of my home, so I did not have enough time to review out and/or back out of the contract based on the 2-14 business day delivery sentence. Eagle did not disclose this policy when we initially discussed the job and booked with them. We can no longer get in contact with the original rep who promised us that she would help us. They are now holding my household goods until they deliver whenever the fuck they want. Now causing me to buy new stuff (and clothes for work) to get through until they feel like delivering it. They would only offer "expedited" delivery unless we paid up to $2500. But of course, there's really no guarantee even with that arrangement. This company has 2 different names and is how they were able to manipulate me into believing the terrible reviews I read about them were not accurate. I believed it was the driver but come to find out he lied and was actually the manager apparently. I let customer service know I do not agree to the extra charges. US safe moving carrier confirmed If I did not not continue with the move then I would forfeit my $1000 deposit. With all the money I already spent on my flight for my daughter and myself to go to Long beach just for this move. and calling off of work which I was losing out on making money. I agreed they can continue with the move but the carrier said I would have to contact Scott to resolve the amount issue. The carrier said I had 30 days free storage to resolve this matter. Mind you i was using the only money I saved just for this move due to being a single mother and relocating to a new state. both of these company new exactly what they were doing as they have hidden fees and use manipulative tactics to extort customers to paying more. Terrible, DON'T USE THEM. They drastically under estimate to beat competitors to get your business. When the local movers came in, their estimate was more than 50 % higher in cubic feet. In our case, the cost was about $2400 more than original estimate of $5400, for a total of about $7800. With this huge discrepancy, we were trying very hard to work something out by drastically Reducing stuff to be moved. eg. all dining room furniture including buffet & souvenir display cabinet, etc etc. After more arguments and disputes came shouting exchanges. For more than an hour no work was done. They even threatened to pull off a few times and drove off. Do not use eagle moving group. We called eagle moving group and got an estimate for moving from Oklahoma to Denver. When the movers arrived it was a different company that contracts with eagle moving group and they took 10 minutes to look around and then said it was going to be 3 times the amount estimate. They stated that we were going to take up more space than what was estimated. I had measured every piece of furniture and had fewer boxes than what was on the estimate. I even offered to remove items and them just take the furniture and the specified number of boxes listed in the estimate and they still refused to reduce the estimate. Now we are stuck tracking down a uhaul and asking friends and family to help us load the truck, I have no idea how we are going to unload the truck once we get to Denver. read more

This is a long review, so if you want the gist... When you call around, companies will say to be careful. Moving companies will promise the world and under deliver - This company does EXACTLY THAT. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY, DO NOT USE THEM ITS NOT WORTH IT. On October 9, 2023 we got in contact with Eagle Moving to facilitate our move from California to Texas. We spoke with Nick G, he consulted with us on what our needs were, what was moving in our house, the distance of the move, etc. We spoke with other moving companies and found out that for a move this large, most companies will fill a moving truck then unload, reload and then transport to the final destination. Lie #1 - He assured us that Eagle Moving does not do that and our shipment would go straight to Texas. - When the movers showed up on January 10, 2024, they told us the truck would arrive in Las Vegas, they would unload and reload into a new truck. Lie #2 - He told us we would be getting 6 movers the initial day and atleast 5-6 arrival day. The day they showed up we had 3 movers. The delivery day we only had 2 delivery drivers. Lie #3 - He told us we could leave light items in the dressers. The movers told us to take EVERYTHING out of the drawers, this isnt a big deal. However, the movers took apart some of our furniture and we are still missing shelves, our bed frame was damaged. Lie #4 - Nov 20, we told him we would be taking solar panels & batteries and asked if this would be an issue, he said no problem - We were charged an additional $1,000 for him saying it would be no issue and no problem. Lie #5 - During the consultation and over the entire 3 months we discussed with Nick how we had wine that needed to be moved. He NEVER told us that THE MOVERS DONT MOVE LIQUIDS... We told him how many cases of wine would be moved and how many wine fridges. This became a major issue on our LAST DAY in the house. Our items arrived damaged, some items missing, we received extra charges even though we discussed everything with Nick PRIOR. 2 business days prior to our move Nick VANISHED. No responses. He promised during our move he would be our contact and readily available. When I called the company to complain and get help, I was assisted by Jaime &Caelum. Caelum was EXTREMELY condescending. We had movers at our house and it was our last day in the house and as I was explaining everything and asking for someone to call us back for assistance, he condescendingly said "we appreciate all feedback and I'll make sure to pass this message along". His tone alone suggested that he didn't care and it wasn't his problem. We were told multiple times that we would get a call back and NEVER received a call. This company got our stuff moved but are the definition of promising the world and delivering our stuff damaged & making sure to get extra money out of you. I moved with * new start relocation but it is still the same company as new start relocation. Shady business prqctices going on here (two different names in this review). Originally quoted in 3k and ended up paying double at the end. Demanded I paid for a smaller truck last minute or would hold my stuff hostage/ drop it off in AZ (AZ- VA move) didn't rebuild any of my furniture and is a moving broker and not a reputable company (check Reddit) read more

I am in the midst of a relocation and chose Eagle Moving Group to pack and load my home. My Sales person, Kent Jevremovic did my inventory with me and gave me a quote for under 8k. I continually asked if this amount would change and I told him I normally have over 100 items closer to 125. He gave me a more realistic quote but still under 9k. My packers shower up and my move is now costing me close to 11k. I do not know how a Senior Sales person could be that far off on a quote. An additional reason I chose Eagle was that Kent told me that they already had trucks going to my new location which is why he could offer me a lower cost. That being said, I was picked up on Saturday and followed up on for an ETA on Thursday to be told that my belongings aren't even on a truck, and I would need to wait until the following Thursday to get an ETA. Kent Jevremovic out and out lied to me and made promises that he could not keep and there is nothing that I can do about it as my life is sitting somewhere in a warehouse. Do not trust this man or this company. This is my 7th move in 5 years and at least my 20th over all. I have never had such a horrible experience. read more
