Hired this company for a short local move on September 4th.. Waited all day and was told that they couldnt move me today,but on September 5th..They were 2 hours late..The owner said "No need to empty underwear drawers, we will bubble wrap it and take it on the truck". When the movers came they told me I had to empty my dresser..I said in a very kind way, "I was told not to bother to empty if just underwear"They came and said "We will not move furniture that is not emptied", with an attitude and they turned around and left..So they screwed me yesterday, and screwed me today..Nasty owner..nasty movers..no consistency..Company has no leader..A must skip... read more

Professionalism and customer service are NULL and VOID at move me Joe's...whatever facade that is put on during the initial call .. CUSTOMER BEWARE !!! If you ever encounter any damage they do to your property or belongings during their services you will see the real devil of this "business" come out. They will deny any wrongdoing and blame it all on you. Pretty typical of people with poor attitudes and no customer service. They will tell you the value of your items are worth nothing and will make no attempt to make the situation correct. Moving is soo incredibly stressful but MOVE ME JOE made it a breeze! They arrived on time were very professional and very efficient. I had paid for a 4 man crew but one of the guys had a family emergency so the owner Joe called me the day before and gave me the 2 man/hr rate and sent 3 men because of the issue. The 3 guys were so patient with me as I made them move around the furniture a couple times before I decided I liked the placement. If you live local in Boynton Beach, and don't use these guys, you're crazy! My lease was up and I was due to move in a couple months. As usual, I called around and searched for the best movers. Prices were ridiculous, even for the well-known local companies. I was quoted $199/hr, plus an additional charge for gas mileage used, plus etc etc etc. This was the same for every company I called, though the price per hour changed. I was even quoted $1000! Wtf?! I explained in detail to each company that I was moving within 10 miles. I had a 1/1, with only a sectional, coffee table, small entertainment center, 62 in TV, large dresser with mirror and Queen mattress with box spring, and of course my boxes of clothes and dishware which was already packed in 9 boxes. These people were crazy if they thought I was going to pay $500/hr and up for my stuff. I even told them my dog and his crate were coming with me. Needless to say, the moving process was an added stress I didn't need. Off my rant, I just happened to come upon Move Me Joe. And like all the other companies I contacted them via their online form, and someone contacted me. I received a call from Wolfgang who told me he couldn't quote me, and this is where I got suspicious, until he came to my place to evaluate. Still unsure and nervous, I agreed. Well, Wolfgang came and looked at the place. After about 15-30 or so, he looked at me and said, "this is an easy job. No hidden fees. No games. Let me tell you how much." I was quoted $99/hr, with an hour added for gas traveled. That was it. I can't tell you how long my mouth stayed open or how long I was staring at the man waiting for a catch. He looked at me and said that was it. I didn't believe and kept trying to pull information from him, hoping he would slip up with extra hidden fees, but he stayed true to his word. I hesitantly set my date and left it at that. Well, a couple weeks later plans changed and I had to cancel. Easy. I called them and told them I didkt need their services anymore. I wasn't charged for the evaluation or anything. Fast forward a month later and plans changed again. This time I was completely ass out. I had to move out my apartment one weekend, and had no one booked. I was now scrambling at the last minute, and we all know how that can be. I went through the process of searching various companies again with no luck. I happen to fall back on Move me Joe. Kim was SUPER at booking me, even last minute! She called to confirm the day before. Wolfgang and his crew came out, and hauled my stuff and even set it up at my new place. They started at 0915 ish and didn't end til about 11ish I think? I literally paid $275 for everything. No BS! I gave the men their tips and thanked them. This company is my Boynton Beach mover's secret. I'm so happy I was able to find them. Move Me Joe came highly recommended to me by a friend. When we called for rates, they were willing to match other companies and even gave a little discount. I had to make a last minute move so we hired the movers to come one day to do the packing, and then the second day to do the move. The first day went fairly smoothly, although they definitely could have packed the boxes better. When we went back to the house to make sure everything was empty, there was an entire closet they forgot to pack! The day of the move was another story. I have heavy furniture and I advised that it is best to take the drawers out of the dresser. They did not listen and were sorry. To top it off, a mover QUIT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE MOVE. When they got to my new place of resident and the mover saw three flights of stairs, he just quit. He then had the audacity to ask for directions on how to leave. We were stuck with two movers and then a third came to help for the last two hours. If that third mover didn't arrive at the 11th hour, they would still be moving in. The two guys who stuck it out for the entire day got an A for effort. They worked very hard with our heavy furniture and three flights of stairs. My problem is that "Joe" should have given us more of a discount for the aggravation we endured. The fact that a mover quit, made the move take twice as long, and cost twice as much. His only discount was to charge us for two movers during the time period when there were only two movers. I would not recommend Move Me Joe. read more

Joe moved me in more ways than one. Absolutely perfect experience with this Mom-n-Pop Florida mover. After getting attitude and grief from All My Sons and a few other pretenders, I called Move Me Joe. Talked to Kim first who set up the appointment and then received a quick call back from Barry who quoted me what it would cost and how they did business. The moving guys arrived EXACTLY at the time they were expected and got to work right away and did a great job handling our stuff! Nothing was damaged as they transported with great care and were extremely professional. Recently I re located to another apartment within the building I lived in but preferred to have help moving my furniture and other personal items, even though I knew it would be a quick easy move. Move Me Joe came recommended from a person in my building so I decided to give them a call. Kim was in the office and answered the phone to setup the move. She was quick to confirm my date and time. She was also very helpful and friendly. Two gentleman showed up on time and made sure to call me about 30 minutes before they were to arrive. To Barry and Co. / MoveMeJoe- Wanted to put in writing and express our gratitude and appreciation for moving us with not a lot of advance notice. Everyone did a great job and was very professional, courteous and friendly. A note for anyone reading this: Not all moving companies are alike. We had another moving company quit mid-move and literally walk off the job leaving our belongings on the curb. MoveMeJoe was able to get us scheduled within 48/72 hours which is unheard of at this time of year. From the first call my mind was put at ease, Barry took the time to listen to my rant and offered some mental encouragement along the way. While they were booked solid, that didn't stop them from answering the phone any time I had a question. They also called and confirmed multiple times and were upfront about all charges. There were no hidden fees. Each item was carefully inspected, packed, bubble wrapped / padded when appropriate, and moved with extreme care. All furniture and beds which needed to be disassembled were reassembled to our satisfaction and in some cases some improvements were made. They know how to handle HOA politics, were courteous with neighbors that needed to get by, and paid attention to all the fine details that oftentimes go unnoticed. When moving into our new house the movers asked where each item should go, and I didn't feel as though I was being rushed or like I was bothering them. This crew was STRONG! They moved a 200lb dresser up 2 flights of stairs like it was a gallon of milk. They are also a very green company and offered to recycle or reuse the 100+ boxes that we used during the move. This company is an absolute disgrace and should be ashamed of themselves. I confirmed "Move Me Joe" on 7/23 at 4:08 with a woman to have a moving company be at my apartment at 8:30am Saturday August 1st to move my one bedroom apartment into a storage unit. Well, come Saturday morning, this worthless moving company is no where to be found and won't answer the phone when I call to find out what happened. I left at least five messages and never received one call back. If you look at their website, it says open until 6pm on saturdays. When I drove over to their office, the door was locked and no One answered when I knocked. So basically- this company confirmed an appointment with me and left me high and dry and never showed a shred of customer service or human decency- not a call to apologize for no showing and screwing me over and being a coward worthless company; not a return call to say I was crazy for making up an appointment with them (which isn't true, but maybe even a dumb company would try something like this); but this company wasn't as their office during their business hours when I drove over there 30 -5 minutes from my house! (Hours which are posted on their website); And they don't answer their business line during 8-6 Saturday business hours (so don't expect to get in touch with them if you need them) AND DONT EXPECT THEM TO SHOW UP!!!! Don't go with this company. They're worthless. They'll stand you up. We scheduled them to move us and were left with no one and had to extend the lease until we could find new movers (a full week). When we drove over to their office (when they stood us up and their office was supposed to be open but their door was locked) there were a bunch of chairs set out front of the building like people hang out around there so maybe they'd rather have a good time and screw over their confirmed clients then be an honorable business. Move me Joe is the greatest moving company I have ever hired. Barry was my first point of contact. He helped me go over what they can offer, what my move would consist of and worked out a great quote. He told me who to contact when I was ready to schedule which was Kim. She was also incredibly easy to work with and very nice. She confirmed the quote Barry provided me and we set a date and time. She told me she would call the day prior, which she did and we reconfirmed everything for the next day. The movers were right on time, we confirmed the work and they explained one of the 3 did have to leave early and reviewed the reduced rate for me as well. They had my 3 bedroom apartment, which was on a second floors stairs only, loaded in 2 1/4 hours. They took a quick 30 minute lunch and met us at the house. The two remaining guys had the truck unpacked in 2 hours. They were some of the hardest working guys I have ever met. Very kind, very professional and so efficient. Move Me Joe was not only super professional the whole time working with them, but very affordable for how fast they work. Moving is very very stressful even for us low key individuals. Move Me Joes was A+. They moved us this past Sunday Jun 30. Tom, Eric, and Kevin were friendly and professional. They arrived on time at 8:30A and had us completely moved across town in 5.5 hours. They professionally wrapped and handled our furniture and electronics and assembled our bed in our new place. I did get a quote from another well respected mover...but it was $500 more than what I paid to Move Me Joes. We used this company for a full move with in the same city. They showed up on time and seemed very nice. When they arrived at our new home which had just been completely remodeled there were several accidents of dropping large pieces on the stairs. One of the men was being careless and dropped part of the bed frame which took large chunks of wood from om the newly refinished stairs. There were also two deep large scratches in our brand new bamboo floors. They also put the bunks beds back together with the railing and stairs barely attached and my five year old was almost injured. They also took apart the baby swing and lost the appropriate hardware which turned out to be the same issue with the bunk beds. We also had a ziploc bag of hardware attached to our desk that had already been taken down and that went missing as well. They attempted to fix the stairs but did not do an acceptable job as the two stairs needed to be sanded down and stained again after the patches were used to fill the deep defects. They were able to color in the scratches on the floor so they weren't so noticeable and they fixed the bunk bed so that it was stable but the original hardware was never found. I used them a few years ago and they were great. I recommended to a friend, and it worked out well for her. So when it was time to move again, it was a no-brainer. Or so I thought. I would not recommend this moving company. We had 3 movers. 2 of them were good. The other? Not so much. He smoked in our driveway and garage. Left cigarette butts in the driveway even. He dropped a piece of our bed. (Another guy there was able to fix it.) Then when they were finished, he blew his nose ONTO our driveway. Like, right onto it... no tissue. Our new driveway of our new house. We also noticed a scratch on a piece of furniture that was not there before the move. Then, after they finished, we realized they put the wrong dressers in 2 of the rooms, had switched them. I called. It was no more than 30 minutes after they left. But the guy told me they were "off the clock" and couldn't help me. They'd have to come back the next day. Of course, we wanted to unpack our clothes but couldn't until the dressers were in the correct room. The guy said the office would call by 4:30 to schedule a time for the next day. Yes, it was partially our fault for not catching it until they left. But nobody EVER called. Mind you, I'm pregnant and could not help my husband move any furniture. It's been two days, and still no call from Move Me Joe. Oh and I also left a message with the office right after we noticed. They just completely ignored us. They got our money and were done with us. Terrible. And I had JUST recommended their services to another friend. Big mistake on the company's part because obviously now my friend won't be using them. I'm very disappointed. read more
