The high noon we did have was frozen a third of the way through, which was disappointed and showed the drink was old. Overall, I likely wouldn't come back here as it was pretty dead and they didn't have much to bring people in.

I'm the aunt so I get when my niece is in the wrong, 4 year difference and an engineering career on my part, but I heard every word and know the bartender just saw my POC niece and decided to cause a problem. Racism 100% bc I had others there who were just as buzzed or worse that the same bartender didn't cause a problem with... Also... The dance floor was deader than dead ( no wonder why). I would have had a better time in a parking lot with a speaker. This place is less fun than a funeral. Good luck. There are 3 different music dance rooms with different genres. Typically it's a white music room (Katy Perry and Black eyed peas, Justin Timberlake), Black music room (T pain, Jay Z, Megan Thee Stallion, and a mixed room (Rhianna, Pitbull, Shakira, Bad Bunny, Lady Gaga, Cardi B) . As well as a pool/arcade area and the drag room with the stage. The music could be updated to not play republican or abusive artists like Kanye and Nicki Minaj They do not tolerate underage drinking at all, so don't even try it here. If you under age drink at home and come drunk, you will not get in. They have different nights for different events, but you can always find fun no matter the night. The drag is my favorite part, there is a diverse cast with rotating talent, they do have a regular set base cast as well. Mercedes is the GOAT. she's incredible. The gay 90s sets out to create a truly inclusive space for everybody, despite race, gender, disability or sexuality. Straight men looking to take advantage, often visit here so just keep an eye out for them. You'll notice they travel alone or in packs of two they also keep to the edges sometimes. Keep an eye out for each other ladies and thems. People do get drugged here occasionally, but over all not as much as other places. I love the karaoke stage, the vibes, and the divey-ness. If you go on a weeknight or before 10pm, you're likely to have a better experience. Unfortunately, in the past year or so it has been taken over by the college age folks and this last time we went, you couldn't even move by 10pm. I've never seen it that crowded! Service was (understandably) slow, and I know this is sometimes how it works, but the karaoke guy was taking bribes so our names on the list kept getting pushed back. I tend to like a karaoke bar where folks in the crowd are listening (at least a little), singing along, or clapping at the end. That wasn't the vibe here - it felt like a college bar where people were scream-talking to each other and people were singing on the stage as an afterthought. It lost a bit of its luster for me this last time I visited, and I'm sad to say I may not be back in the near future. I loved this spot in my 20s - maybe it's time for me to find a 30s dive bar instead :)

They…read moreremoved the water pitcher on busy nights, and tell anyone with water bottles to dump them, despite having no good place to refill them. Needless to say, as a bar who seeks to appeal to industry folks and the large portion of people that bike, this is a huge detriment to arriving. They have a one drink minimum (reasonable), but have no THC options, few NA options, and will not allow weed smoking on the patio. They consistently remove graffiti, once a highlight of this bar before the fire. They are very strict on outside food, despite having incredibly limited options for common dietary restrictions like veganism (am I supposed to live off the old potato chips?). The bouncer spends more time policing the regulars than keeping the bar safe, especially given the amount of street harassment that occurs on this block. I used to love this bar. I think they can turn this around, but as it stands, this bar no longer seems interested in people like me: working class queer folks who want a chill dive bar to relax in. Save yourself the time, just go to any of the other (gay) dive bars in the area.
