They don't have a huge selection of beers, but no one in East End does. Try one of the island brews; this is their dark, Ironshore Bock.

Eagle Ray's Bar and Grill at the Compass Point Dive Resort is an experience in East End not to be missed. From the main road, look for the many signs including a sidewalk sandwich board and the yellow submersible, then park and walk to the back of the complex. Up the stairs or ramp to the raised swimming pool, the open-air restaurant and bar sits above the dive facility, overlooking the beach and dock in this diver's Mecca. Though Grand Cayman can be an expensive place to eat, Eagle Ray's offers many specials. And luckily they stagger theirs with those offered by the other two restaurants within walking distance (and owned by the same outfit): Taco Cantina and Tukka. On Tuesday nights is Caribbean Buffet night from 6pm for only $22USD. Every Monday through Friday, they offer a Happy Hour from 4-6pm whereby ALL alcohol is 25% off. From 7:30-9:00 each morning, they offer breakfast for only $12USD. These prices are pretty amazing for Cayman, and it's great that they present them in USD. Cayman dollars (KY) appear on most other menus, and it's $0.80KY=$1USD which can cause some sticker shock when paying by US credit card, until one gets used to it. Also, like many restaurants in the area, they automatically add 15% gratuity, which is the customary rate there. So what you see on your bill is what you pay. We ate there twice, for dinner and lunch (same menu), and both times the food was outstanding. Lobster is caught off the coast there and so is as or more affordable than red meat. Eagle Ray's offers on their menu twin lobster tails with roasted potatoes and grilled veggies for $28.50! They come perfectly grilled (charred and moist) with a heavenly butter seasoning as well as drawn butter. When we ate there for lunch, I had the lion fish tacos: 3 soft (flour tortillas) loaded with lightly blackened lion fish, another indigenous seafood. To that preparation was added sweet chili sauce, red cabbage, a light tomato and onion pico, and an aioli, and served with either a side salad or fries. Forty-five minutes or more from the bustle of Seven Mile Beach and 35 minutes from George Town, the atmosphere here is even more laid-back, with a charming character. As with other East End restaurants in the trio, service is comfortably friendly and spot on. They have a collection of license plates from around the world hanging up in the rafters and on the walls. To say it's casual is an understatement. The pool is on the same deck as the restaurant, so between that and divers coming back in for lunch, it's common that patrons are in swimsuits during the day. I would have gone back a third time in our week there for the buffet, the food was that good, but we were beachside late and had to pack, with that being our last night on the island. I don't know if I'll make it back to Grand Cayman, but if I do I would definitely take a jaunt to East End for Eagle Ray's!

We went for lunch after diving. Under new ownership so we weren't sure how it would be. The food was good, bucket of beer special is great (although we miss the free coozie). Service was good.

Lion fish tacos!

Beautiful view and tasty food. This is not typical bar and grill food. The lion fish tacos are as good as everyone says.

Ms. Piper's is right next to the Hampton Inn. The taxi driver recommended it when she dropped me off, and the front desk helped me secure a reservation. I was seated quickly after a pleasant greeting. Even though there were empty tables, the ones that were occupied had smiles and joy on people's faces. The place definitely lives up to its slogan, "share the love" -- I felt it. I started with a cocktail called La Vie en Rose, which was especially fitting since it's one of my favorite songs to sing. My server, Juanjo, was friendly, always smiling, and gave me great recommendations. It was a very relaxing experience. Watching him move around his tables, I noticed he was smiling even while clearing dishes. He moves with vitality and lifts the energy of the whole place. I told him so. The butterfly snapper was beautifully done -- both taste and presentation. The croquettes were tasty with the sauce, and the pepper had just enough spice to remind you it's still a pepper. A good combination. I ended the meal with a cup of rooibos tea. Highly recommended. There are so many dishes to choose from -- and the meal I had was definitely too much for one person!

The food was excellent. We stated with the spinach and corn empanadas which were baked and flavorful. For entrees we ordered the half chicken with coconut rice which was a hearty portion and paired well. The star of the show was the arroz meloso, the chicken jus is outstanding underneath the risotto, I genuinely tried to get every drop.

The inside dining room is wonderful! A true old-fashioned tropical feel. Our waiter was a little odd, but competent. I wasn't real hungry, so I just had a shrimp cocktail. My friend had the duck. The shrimp cocktail was delicious, the cocktail sauce, a bit spicy. Had too much pepper for me. When I mentioned that to the waiter, he told me it was not spicy. He said it only had pepper in it. I said well after I mixed it was a little better. I don't think a waiter should contradict what a customer says if there is a problem; he should help to alleviate the issue. Obviously, somebody didn't stir the cocktail sauce well, still the pepper was a bit heavy. What's troubling is I specifically asked the waiter if the sauce would be hot , as in spicy. My friend said the duck was very nice. As I recall, they served some complementary bread and it was good. I hope to go back to Palm Heights, where this restaurant is located, and I am sure to go back to Tillies.

We were a larger party of 11 and got a prime spot on the beach literally 10 feet from the softly lapping sea water. Our server had the sense to get the kids orders in and served to ensure a delightful experience for the adults. Make sure to peruse the specialty drink menu that can be crafted with our without alcohol. Our food choices roamed the entire menu and everyone loved their meals so feel free to take a suggestion or go your own route. I had a perfectly cooked burger that left me stuffed and satisfied. Expect resort pricing but trust me that the memorable meal you eat will substantiate the price. Truly a one-of-a-kind meal that you'll remember for years to come.

The food is definitely the highlight here. The drinks were just okay and didn't really stand out, so it's probably best to stick with wine or beer if you're ordering beverages. That said, the atmosphere makes up for it. The location is very cool and relaxed, and it's an easy walk from Camana Bay, which is a big plus. All in all, a very nice spot with solid food and a convenient, enjoyable location.

It lacked the richness, spice, and depth that define it. Instead, it felt diluted and unfinished, as if the key elements never made it into the pan. The "curry goat" was even more disappointing. The sauce was thin to the point of being soupy, with little to no curry presence. The dish had no body, no warmth, no layering of flavor just water where there should have been depth. Even the rice was off, adding nothing to salvage the plate. These are foundational dishes in Caribbean cuisine. To miss the mark on both so completely is not a small oversight it's a fundamental failure in execution. I've included photos for context, because the presentation reflects the experience.
