I ate breakfast at Eagle Valley Café Jan 21, 2026. I had a relative getting a medical procedure done at the local hospital in Wabasha and stumbled upon this place because it was close by. Absolutely amazing food, huge portions. It's not very fancy, but it makes up for it with friendly service, always full cups of coffee, friendly locals (I sat at the counter) and incredibly good food. This is my new favorite breakfast place whenever I am in southeastern Minnesota. Very happy I stopped there. read more

Old fashioned diner style breakfast spot with hearty portions, friendly wait staff, and delicious home cooked food. We tried the biscuits and gravy as well as the Denver omelet with some coffee. Absolutely delicious and we took home half as there was so much food we couldn't possibly finish it all! If you stop be sure to have cash as they don't accept cards! We will be adding it to our list to come back next time we are in town! read more

If you love hashbrowns, go! Simply go. The best I've ever had. Service can be slow but so worth the wait. Have to always have the same breakfast. Scrambled eggs, bacon (awesome bacon) and of course hashbrowns! Fantabulous every time! read more

Omg the service here! Worst experience in a restaurant in my entire life! The waitress came up to me and basically pushed me out the door the minute I put my cash on the table. Don't eat here. The Beth's Twin Bluff Cafe is nearby and much better. Rudest service I've ever had in a restaurant in my life. Wish I had never even stopped in. They deserve to go out of business with how they treat customers. Also, sign for "help" outside. Absolutely don't work here it's not worth it. read more

Typical small town/country diner with diner food. Breakfast was prepared well, served hot. Homemade bread is totally worth it.

This is a place that survived for many many years, I used to go here as a child, it's not fancy but the food is delicious it's comfort food and served by a very friendly staff, if your looking for good food in a no nonsense setting this is a place for you, I know I'll be back. read more

What a fun little place for breakfast! Walking into this place feels like going back in time. The stools around the counter, the decor, the people... It feels like quintessential Minnesota. The biscuits and gravy are very good, and the coffee just keeps coming. The staff is very friendly & attentive. This is such a sweet little restaurant. We love it! read more

Fabulous homemade breakfast. Huge delicious omelette with homemade bread, and the best crispy hash browns! Service was fabulous.

I've been back 6-7 times my earlier review was based on the sausage gravy an biscuits, Whistle Stops hands down better, that said I've had the specials and standard breakfast fare and it's much better than the I expected.. This is an assuming place that serves great breakfasts and lunch. I've mostly been there for their breakfasts and have never been disappointed. Servings are very filling and always made as requested (e.g. eggs ordered over easy come out over easy, hashbrowns crispy, etc.). The price is right on. Service is great. They also have a Friday evening fish fry, but I haven't made it to this yet. read more

We've stopped in twice on two trips to Minnesota/Wisconsin and have had wonderful experiences both times. The charming atmosphere in this tiny restaurant & the friendliness of the local characters are worth the visit all by themselves. From a smaller meal of fantastic biscuits & gravy to a feast of chicken fried steak, eggs, hash browns & more, we found this cafe to be a soul-warming taste of home (and you *know* we Texans know our chicken fried steak!). Stop here when you visit the nearby Eagle Center. Your coffee cup, belly & proverbial heart will be filled for the rest of your journey along the Mighty Mississippi. read more

Go here yearly when I'm down in Wabasha turkey hunting and stopping here is always a must. I usually get the French toast and sausage links and I am never disappointed. Service is great, usually in and out of there within half an hour. read more
