Another vet said that he was very anemic 2 months ago. but didn't figure out or test the underlying condition. So when he got sick again i came here. I explained everything to dr joey and we were all on the same page that we needed to find out what was causing this condition so blood was going to be drawn to test for what she had thought might be a blood parasite and the only way to test for that was to send the blood out of town which would take anywhere from 1 to 3 weeks to get the result back. I signed on the line agreeing with that and saying okay no problem. we waited while that was done she came back in and said sorry they took your results here instead of being sent out because the readings and my machine are not acting correctly we need to do another blood draw to send to the other lab. I understood ,I agreed with that ,I didn't like the fact that they are now taking a second blood draw out of my baby but hey mistakes happen. So after the second blood drawn she came back in we talked about the timeline that while we're waiting on the blood test to come back let's get him on the steroids and the antibiotic .if it does come back as the blood parasites then by the time two weeks passes waiting on the blood results he would already have the antibiotics inside him which would be the correct medicine if that's what it came back as. I gave him the antibiotics he threw it all up immediately which again is not the Vets fault and I'm not accusing them of that So we agreed on a steroid shot and an anti-nausea shot so that hopefully it would jump start his system and I could give him the antibiotics again that night and it should be able to go down. Nothing else was talked about.I am now being told that in their notes I declined all of the options when the only thing that I ever declined was the blood transfusion because they couldn't even do it here I would have had to take him to an emergency room and she told me it's anywhere from 1200 to $2,000 .(quotes were 6 to 12k) Now they called me back when they got the results within like a day I was really shocked to get that phone call because I was expecting it to be at least a week or two and she told me oh this is just the blood results panel that we got back this isn't the parasite result and went through all the numbers with me and yeah it's bad he's anemic we already knew that so we agreed to keep trying antibiotic an the steroids and make him feel better and then as soon as she got the results we would get called back and determine if that was the cause. eventually the steroids kicked in and he pulled through and now he's doing much much better a week later but we're still waiting on the results to find out what the underlying cause of his anemia is. So I replied back to an email that they sent out last night and said that he was doing better gave an update and said I'm just waiting on the results of the parasite test so as soon as you all get that please give me a call so we know what the cause is. Today casey or kay told me according to their medical notes that I declined all tests for the parasite multiple times an that what im saying is a lie and that if I want to do that blood test I've got to take my baby back up there again have another blood test drawn and sent back out which would be another one to three weeks and pay a 3rd time She was rude and she has a huge attitude when she's confronted about her note taking being wrong. Obviously they have more patients they can't remember everything and that's understandable(hince notes). But when I only deal one time with my boy my memory is 100% dont argue and call me a liar.then tells me to find another vet her an the dr think its best.all bc I confronted her attitude. I have no choice to go elsewhere.so my boy wont be risked as retaliation .she is a danger to pets for her pride being hurt from her being called out on a simple mistake she made. read more

I have a new poodle pure breed that i purchased, he is 16 weeks now, i bought him at 8 weeks for a routine exam, he did have some secretions so i was told he needed a chest xray 3 veiws and given antibiotics and a number of vaccines, in which my bill was over $600+ This place is over priced, the doctor alone is $50+ on top, just for auscultation of stethoscope, I'm a RN and this is the same thing doctors in hospitals due just rounding to see there patients and act as though they seen the patient, the staff is good, I just believe this establishment is very GREEDY for no reason, i went today for antibiotic refill and was declined just so the doctor could charge me a full exam, only thing was needed was to listen to the LUNGS, checking the abdomen, eyes, ears was not necessary, so full exam cost me $93+ and the $60+ for the antibiotic. Terrible experience. We brought our puppy in for a routine spay, but were told she had a distended stomach and needed emergency imaging. We followed their advice and paid hundreds for an emergency vet visit -- only to be told by multiple Vets there was no distension (one vet even laughed at the idea) and she was fine to proceed with the procedure. When we brought this up with the original clinic, the doctor became defensive, dismissive and rude instead of taking accountability and acknowledging the mistake. Spent 10 months paying their expensive medication prices for my elderly dog with cancer. Over 1 $100 each month to keep him comfortable. I had difficulties with them but tried to be patient. At the end of my best buds life, when I needed them most, they would not work with me. All I asked was to schedule an "end of life" exam on a quieter day and time as my guy, despite being very ill, still tried to be overly excited around other people and dogs. I didn't want our last moments together to be me managing him. They would not oblige. I wish I had gone to Eastlake Vet first. They were absolutely wonderful. I honestly don't know where to start. When I entered I was met with a very friendly receptionist. She helped me and was very understanding about my paper work. When I was introduced to the vet technician/assistant she SEEMED super friendly however when she left I heard her gossiping through the thin door about me. That wasn't the bad part though, the worst part is THE DOCTOR The doctor is mean and was very passive aggressive toward me and I don't believe she had a like for animals. I had an appointment around 2 and was waiting there till i got out at 5:20. She told me coldly how they're closing (they close at 6) but I was confused because it's not like I was the one giving the shots and treatment. Honestly I probably won't go back there again. After being a customer for more than 5 years, I contacted Eagles Landing Vet for help with my elderly dog who has recently become Extremely aggressive. I had decided that my dog needed to be euthanized before she bit someone besides me. I was told that the vet would need to do a quality of life exam ($$$) before deciding if they would agree to do the service for more $$$. I can't express how frustrating it was to be told that my concerns were stupid and I had no rights as a pet owner except paying the bill. Instead of getting help, I was basically told that I should keep my dog drugged (more $$$) indefinitely. FYI, I don't consider being drugged a good quality of life. read more

The vet I had used for years seemed to get too busy and I couldn't get appointments, then my dog developed an issue that the old vet just kept trying different meds, even told me on the last visit that maybe I needed to do some research on other issued this could be. Ha - I researched other vets! The doctor was very kind and concerned on our very first visit, spent a while with my dog and looking over his file from the old vet, suggested some different tests and we found the issue. She has been treating him since. They are always great, never in a rush - your pet is always #1 with them. I can make appointments easy and quick, no waiting 3-4 weeks to see the vet and they truly care about your animal. So I have been coming here since we moved in 1994 now and for the first time ever, I have left here completely dissatisfied with Dr. Ashlyn. I will NEVER take my pets to see that lady again! The office staff is always super sweet and I loved her vet tech Jamie, but Dr. Ashlyn was not personable, she didn't explain what was going on with my cat, and she seemed like she was in a rush to get us out the door. My cat had been dry coughing for a few days (no it was not a hairball) and she was trying to listen to her chest and said "she keeps purring so I can't hear anything." Then she immediately suggested an X-Ray ($150) without even listening to my cats chest. REALLY?! What doctor does that?! I emailed the vet's office after they sent an email wanting to know how my visit was, so I gave them a piece of my mind. I did not receive a single phone call or email back from the hospital administration acknowledging my email. (It has been about 3 weeks now...) Dr. Ashlyn deserves 0 stars, but the hospital deserves 2 stars because I took my cat back to see Dr. Sasha and she was awesome! Dr. Sasha is the best one there! She is extremely knowledgeable, and thorough. She gave us a plethora of information, she explained the X-Ray scans. My dog is also seen by her and she's fantastic! Her vet tech is this super chill black guy with dreads and he is super nice and knowledgeable as well. I will never, I repeat NEVER see Dr. Ashlyn ever again! Also, please note that when you make an appointment online, even when you select the doctor you want to see, it all depends on who is working that day. If you truly love your family member/ pet, please don't take them to EAGLES LANDING VET CLINIC!!!!!! We dropped our pet off Friday morning at 830 for dental cleaning and excision of a small cyst close to her neck! I was told to come pick her up at 5. We called several times to check up on her during the day! When I came to pick her up they went ahead and discharged her and then brought her out to me. IMMEDIATELY, I could tell that she was in respiratory distress, I could hear her breathing from the hall she had severe shortness of breath with increased respirations, (my husband and I are both RNs) so I informed the tech that I was not leaving with her in respiratory distress, after a few minutes talking to the Vet, she acted like nothing was abnormal about her breathing!. We insisted for them to get an oxygen saturation level and apply oxygen and to take a chest xray, her oxygen level was in the 80s! The Vet came out after the xray stating that she had lung disease,(Bella is a very healthy and well cared for pet). We immediately said NO she does not, she had to of aspirated during the dental cleaning! Then the VET came clean and said yeah looks like she has something in her lungs and that they did have trouble with mucus in her E tube and that they had to change her tube out during the procedure. The Vet did not call us during the day nor did the tech ever attempt to discuss Bella's condition at all before she was discharged. We rushed Bella to Woodland animal hospital, which I highly recommend. Woodland immediately placed her in an oxygen tent started giving her emergency care, our Bella is still there, diagnosed with Acute Respiratory Distress and aspiration pneumonia. she has been on breathing treatments, antibiotics, steroids, IV fluids etc for 48 hrs now, Bella is improving but slowly, Vet said it could take her weeks to get back to normal. After we left EAGLES LANDING VET CLINIC, THE STAFF CALLED THE POLICE ON US for criminal trespassing and verbal abuse! We did get upset and my husband did cuss at them because they acted as if they didn't have a clue what to do and they discharged her knowing her breathing was comprised and they knew she had complications during surgery and never called us to tell us to come get her and take her to the emergency hospital that she was having respiratory problems. Instead, they let her lay there in her cage until we came to pick her up at 5, her procedure was at 1130/12. We also got very upset because we had to tell them to check her oxygen saturation and to apply oxygen and to please do a chest X-ray. SO IF YOU VALUE YOUR PETS LIFE , I WOULD NOT TRUST EAGLES LANDING VET HOSPITAL AT ALL!!!' (OFF HWY 42)! We tried to call back to the clinic manager, to talk with them to get her medical records and they told us we could not call back or come on the property or we would be arrested. I was demeaned as a customer today by a customer when I had been waiting outside for 30 min in my car with my dog for his vet appointment. The male technician stood next to my car with a negative demeanor as I asked questions about how long would the appointment last and the price of his service. The treatment plan they had for my dog was $449. I declined their plan because he was there for two shots and a prescription refill. I then told the technician I had to move my car because there was a dead zone for cellular service in front of their building. He started to go back and forth with me about me not moving my car. ELVH is not open 24 hours, so they suggested that we took our dog to SAVES for overnight care. I liked that they have two separate waiting areas, in case there were animals that were not compatible with others. They were also very good at calling us with updates. However, we (nor our dog) got a very good vibe from this place. When she was able to gain more strength, she actually growled at some of the people here. The biggest factor on my opinion of this place was the fact that some of the technicians and neither of the veterinarians we spoke to were empathetic. I brought my pets here for a long time, recently I had to bring my cat in because he wasn't eating and getting sick. I was told he may have pancreatic issues and or diabetes, and he needed some teeth removed. The estimate was 1200 to 2k. I went home and cried because I don't have 2k. I called back later to see if they could reduce the bill and ask about charges. My first concern was why are they charging me to clean my cats teeth if they were about to remove the rest of them. Secondly after I asked for a discount I was told that it was a shame I couldn't bring my cat in in February during cat dental month, because they couldn't give me a discount then. Then they kept pushing me to use or apply for care credit or use a credit card and I didn't want to do that because either way I still have to pay the money back. After I made the phone call I decided to call other veterinarians to try and get a second opinion because my cat was still not eating and I was really worried about him. We took him for an initial visit to another veterinarian and they gave him some steroids shots and anabiotic shot that last several days and the cats are eating and acting like he wasn't sick anymore, they also gave me an estimate for the same work and it was $620. The bill was explained to me so I can understand it and I was OK with it and all the procedures they did to the cat and why were explained as well . Pros: Appointment was easy to book and they had same day availability, which my primary vet never seems to have. All the staff I spoke to that day were extremely pleasant, and despite their somewhat outrageous policy of not letting anyone in the building due to COVID, one of the front desk ladies was nice enough to let me in to use the restroom when the appointment was taking longer than expected. The issue my dog came in for was quickly healed up and I feel like she received good treatment from the vet. My dog tends to be skittish at the vet, but she was completely relaxed and happy when we left Eagle's Landing. Cons: Number 1 out of all - you have to wait in your car for the entirety of the visit. It was raining the day I was there and gas is $4 a gallon people, I can't afford to sit there with my car running. Also on that topic, COVID has been around for TWO YEARS. Make people wear masks if you want, but waiting in the vehicle the entire time is a little overboard. Number 2 - the prices are fairly high. I understand convenience tends to come with a price tag, but after doing some research, I could have gotten the same services from my primary vey for almost $200 less than what I paid at Eagle's Landing Vet. There were no options to pay over time, and I was required to pay for the very expensive visit in it's entirety before we left. Lastly, before the girl from the front desk offered to let me come in to use the restroom, I had asked a different girl who told me that I was not allowed inside. I then asked her if I could at least run over to the gas station to use the restroom, and she told me I was not allowed to leave the facility while my dog was being seen. SCAM! I don't recommend. read until the end. Very long review! I only went here because I was referred. I went on the puppy plan and the first appointment took over an hr! I was absolutely angry. When I arrived I called to let them know that I was outside it took them 30 minutes to even come out with paperwork. (they still didn't take my pup) I had other appointments afterwards but had plenty of time to make it but unfortunately I was late with a 2 hour+ window. The next appointment I came prepared to be there for 1hr+. My pup was in and out in 3 mins... So why did it take so long when all I did was signed one paper the first visit. I continued as my pup got all their shots, I noticed they HATED the vet!! As soon as someone came out they RAN from whatever door. They hated coming here. I don't know what they do to them since we are not allowed inside. All I know is they should not be scared of a nail cut that lasts 10 mins if that. I learned that puppies should be happy to go but I don't know what they did to mine. Also not to mention I am on the puppy plan it states that "Unlimited Health Exams" that's how they get you, if anything is wrong come in and we won't charge you to get the puppy seen. LIES I went and every time they charged me $15+ for waste fee... to WEIGH and check the temp of the dog... $15 adds up since I went every time I was concerned because I was under the impression of free exams. Then it adds up, whatever they diagnose you have to pay for it on top of the $15. She was current on preventative care and heartworm preventative done 2 weeks prior to her 1st visit at Eagles Landing Vet Hospital. During her exam the vet called my cell phone. Clients wait in the car while services are given to their pet. The receptionist interrupted our conversation twice making it hard for me to understand the medical findings from the exam and care recommended. I informed the receptionist both times that I was talking to the vet. She walked off with an attitude. The vet was informed during the call. The doctor said that was rude of her and would speak to her. Next day I return to drop-off fecal material I captured and to inquiry why a heartworm test was done without my request or notification the day before. Rachel, the office manager, kept repeating "that's how we do it here." She was irritated by my questions and said she didn't understand my point when I kept saying she just had a test done 2 weeks ago. I asked, "Can you help me understand why an annual test was done twice in a month?" Rachel was cutting me off while speaking. After asking the question multiple times in different ways it was finally explained that bloodwork is not done in-house. As a result multiple tests are done at the lab even though the heartworm test was done 2 weeks ago at a local vet. This was not explained to me the day before. I shared that I was not receiving good customer service based her communication style. It was my 1st visit the day before and there was no way I could know their norms especially if never explained to me while I sat in my car during the dog's exam. I asked to speak to someone else or the vet to share my experience as a new client. Rachel said, "I am my own boss." Told me I could not speak to the owner of the practice about my experience nor the vet. I cancelled my plan the same day I was rudely spoken to by Rachel, which cost over $300 to do. It is sad I had to do this not to experience a year of poor customer when I ask a question about my dog's medical procedures. The surgery was done two weeks ago and so far that part looks successful. It's the customer service that is painfully lacking here, along with greed. I returned to get my dogs stitches out and while waiting a pet owner came in and told the receptionist he had an "emergency: his dog had eaten something in the yard a few days ago and had thrown up" Even though this did not sound like an emergency to me, it sounded like someone who needed a visit and just didn't have an appointment. However, I was ok with that, I love dogs and certainly didn't want any dog needing urgent care not to receive it, so I waited patiently for the emergency to be seen. A short time later and Tech came to call my dog back from the very front waiting area and said I'm just going to take her back, remove the stitches and you can just wait out here. Again, I was ok with her being taken back and continuing to wait out front, however, i advised her I wanted to speak to the vet about the other cysts on my dog and which ones should be removed next (my dog had multiple cysts and we removed the most severe two first). I also wanted to get her teeth cleaned, as during the first surgery they had told me they ran out of time and wasn't able to do the cleaning. When I advised the Tech, she said that will be an additional "consultation". Which we all know that means more money right? Well I said ok and she took my dog back and eventually the stitches were removed and she brought her back out to me. She also provided me with an estimate of $899 to clean my dogs teeth, stating it could be more if extractions were warranted and I would have to pay another consultation fee to continue speaking to the vet about my dog. There was only one other dog waiting in the waiting room and my appt was at 6:30 pm fyi. They obviously didn't care about my dog, just the money and getting out of there at the end of the day (not the kind of vet office I will be going to in the future!) So, after spending 1,200 for a surgery (plus the initial consult and blood work, which I believe was like $130-$140), the vet didn't even have five minutes to speak with me (post op). Being that I have not received any cooperation in obtaining management information; I'd like to give my personal account of what transpired with office staff, which lead me to facing a decision of weather or not to dis-enroll my pets from ELVH services. I have been a LOYAL and an 'on time' paying customer for a number of years. I've always have had pleasant experiences, and it's imperative for the owner and management to be aware of recent, negative interactions that overall impacts the image and reputation of ELVH. The last couple of visits to ELVH, In dropping off my pets for boarding, and in picking them up; I have encountered rude manners from one particular staff. Young lady with short dark hair. As she was checking my pets out of the kennels & looking in the bin for meds that was on record to take home; I informed her the bundle of meds she was looking at; did not belong to my pet, because I had received it already and gave authorization for payment with my credit card on file. I was given the meds on the 26th, in the event I forgot to pick it up along with my pets. I also informed her that a dose was administered by staff during my pet(s) stay, and should have been documented so there should be a receipt dated 26 August 2018. She began making adjustments on the computer, and printed a receipt, in which I questioned the amount due. We looked over the receipt and I said the meds charge should have not been there and she re-printed the receipt, and left a balance due of $168 when the meds in question equaled $130 or so. She began speaking to me in a rude tone, and I informed her that I am really tired of her rude manners towards me, every time that I come into the office. I had not said any thing before Tuesday, to this young lady because I had taken into consideration that she may have had a few bad days. She began arguing with me, stating that I was being rude, and I corrected the young lady in saying that I was speaking in the tone that I was, because I was not going to tolerate her ongoing rudeness, and additionally, raising her voice in an argumentative tone as she spoke to me in such manners. She was very unprofessional. As I stepped out to put one of my dogs into my vehicle first; The young lady was falsely Inferring that I called her rude because I just did not want to pay my bill. The staff member she was speaking to, with blonde hair; said that I am crazy and instructed her to look into my wallet for a receipt. (which I left my wallet on the counter with my cell phone). This incident occurred at approximately 1847hrs on Tuesday, Sept 4, 2018. After leaving, and hearing what they said; I called ELVH to get the manager and owner's name and contact information, but was placed on hold 3 times: at 1858hrs, (2 mins, 20 secs), 1901hrs (1 min, 4 secs) 1903hrs, (24 secs) 1903hrs, (48 secs), and at 1904hrs, I finally reached someone and spoke for 3 minutes and 12 seconds. I informed the young lady that I recorded everything she said as I put my dog in my vehicle. I also informed her that I am a retired Military Police Investigator. I've provided security for the President of the United States, and have more integrity than to be falsely deemed a thief & have no desire to steal from providers of my pet's care. I told her, if that were the case, I could have just not mentioned that I had already received the meds. I told her that I did not appreciate her co-worker saying that I am crazy and suggesting they go through my personal wallet. Again, as I asked for names of management, she refused to give the name, and said that she will be happy to send a note to the owner, Will Frazier, but he comes in randomly to check on his pets for about an hour or so, (3) three times a week. He can't be reached otherwise. I declined her asking to take a note from me, because she is the staff who had given me unnecessary problems on more than one occasion, and because I don't know what her personal relationship is with him; I was certain she would leave a note indicating that she was innocent of my complaint. If this is how interaction is with loyal, paying customers and we are unable to reach management in the event of sub-par customer service, then I have no choice other than to remove my pets from ELVH care. I do not want to deal with fear that a mean spirited & rude employee would harm my pets in any way because we received a call after other bad interactions, that my younger pet had an unually bad upset stomach and receive urgent treatment & medication. I do not want to imagine the same employee had anything to do with his sudden illness because he had no issues prior to this. ELVH is great, but because management is not aware of these instances, NOR able to be reached, I can not recommend their services otherwise. read more

I'm fairly new to ELVH and so far I am satisfied. I've been taking my oldest here for about a year now and like the care she has received. The staff if very friendly and caring. They have a pet plan which is fair and reasonable for preventative care. I do have to add though, there are several different doctors here and they are not all the same. Make sure to ask lots of questions regarding your pets health. Overall, good place for you pet's health needs. read more

I found a kitten that was in the road near their office. I couldn't leave it so I picked it up and took it into Eagle's Landing Vet. The response I got from the staff was not what I was expecting. They told me they were not a rescue and couldn't take or help the kitten without someone to take it home, I can understand that. This went back and forth with the lady at the front until a nice lady in the waiting room said she would take the kitten if someone would look at it and check it out. Now they have a current pet owner and customer willing to take the kitten, you would think they would take the kitten. The only thing that they wanted was someone to pay for the cat to be seen! They refused to help this kitten unless someone was going to pay for the doctor to look at it! I have never picked up a cat on the road before but I have friends that take them to vets all the time and I have never heard of a Vet turning away an animal in need! I didn't talk to the vet, they don't come in until 9 am I was told but the staff were so uncaring about this kitten. I can not imagine taking my animal to somewhere that the staff were so uncaring about this baby kitten. Another lady trying to check out said she may have to find another vet, she was so amazed at the lack of caring. Finally the lady who agreed to take the kitten agreed to pay for the initial visit. I told her to please tell the doctor what had happened and hopefully the doctor was more caring and compassionate than the staff! I know that if my vet staff treated an injured animal the way that this front desk staff treated this situation I would be looking for a new vet! read more

I just took my Yorkie to Kate McGowan, one of the vets, and was very pleased with the care and concern. She had been throwing up and lethargic for a couple of days. Xrays were done, fluids given and nausea medicine administered after they conferred with me on the price and options for treatment. It wasn't cheap, but I felt worth every penny. Follow up phone calls and emails were made to check on her condition...which was a pleasant surprise since I had not experienced this with my other vet. The only reason I didn't give them five stars is because I did board with them last month and my pet was stressed beyond anything I had seen before. read more

Amazing and friendly staff. Took my English bull terrier for a boarding assessment. Though my dog is timid they were amazing with her. When I picked my dog up she was so happy and outgoing. The staff was great with handling Stella and I'm happy to find peace of mind knowing my dog will be happy and safe here. read more

The front desk staff at this place is consistently rude and nasty and purposely gives out wrong appt times and information .. I was offered to sign up for a pet plan on my pets first visit which I did because I'm a firsttime pet owner .. I was told it covers all my dogs office visits and vaccines .. yet I'm told they are booked for weeks everytime my dog needs an appt or if she has an emergency they can't see her for days unless I can pay $350+.... my dog was 15 min late to a vaccine appt and I was told her appt had to be rescheduled but she must make the next appt or she would have to restart her shots that are prepaid ...i was booked out supposedly to the very last day she could get her vaccine before having to restart them for 11:40 am I was outside at 11:48 am and told I had to reschedule because her appt was for 11:30 and she had to restart her shots even if they were able to see her today .. but that's not what I was told by another staff member .. I was given the wrong appt time and information and told that I consistently show up late and they are short staffed and have a dog that came in for an emergency and I can't hold an appt time for a vaccine .. if I could have gotten her in sooner I would have but that was out of my control due to their booking ... it's just too confusing frustrating and disappointing to know you're dealing with an office like this who only wants to accommodate your pet if you're paying top dollar even when they're wrong .. read more

I brought my 14 year old dog to two vets because she was lethargic and when she moved she would run around yelping in pain. After spending more than a thousand dollars she was not doing better. When I brought her to Eagles Landing the vets assistant immediately laid on the floor with her and felt around her body until she found a muscle knot under her front shoulder blade. Sooooooooooooo, I dropped my dog off at Eagles Landing Veterinary Hospital for boarding last weekend. She was to be boarded for 8 days. She was clean and free of any mats, gnarls, feces, sores, etc. On the day I was to pick her up, I called the vet to let them know I would arrive between 11 and 1130 am. She was terrified when I got there but happy to see me. She had an odor but I expected such. When I say she had an odor at the vet's office, it was just that. On the car ride home, that is when the stench hit me! The funk was among us!!!!! She could not sit still! When I got her home, not only was she matted and smelled HORRIBLE but she had urine stains on her undercoat and she had feces matted on her bottom and on her feet. The area around her eye was crusty as well. I washed her and had to demat her. I had to CUT fecal matter from her fur. Her bottom was a bright, angry red from where the feces had sat against her skin. Around her eye was angry red as well. When I went back to show the vet staff what my dog looked like, I told that it is possible that the fecal matter had been on her when I brought her in to be boarded and it just wasn't noticed OR it was likely that the feces had "just gotten" on her and they didn't have time to clean it let alone see it. Neither of these sit well with me because even if she had fecal matter on her when she got there (WHICH SHE DID NOT), this place let it STAY ON HER FOR EIGHT DAYS! I cringe every time I think of all the pain and suffering my baby girl went through. She probably thought I had abandoned her. BTW...I'm still waiting to hear from the manager of said boarding facility. I was told that he just "pops in and out" and that they do not when he comes in. DO NOT SEND YOUR FUR BABIES HERE UNLESS YOU JUST HATE THEM! read more
