The blonde older European woman and another woman talked behind the counter the entire time we were there. When asking a question about a title we were searching for they give you minimal responses and continue the conversation between themselves while searching up the answer. You can't help but feel like you're interrupting them. While being rung up for the books, they continue their conversation and talk about the books you're getting like "I've heard this one is so good" and "I should one of the copies for myself" but it's never directed towards you or with any effort to loop you inter the conversation. She was unpleasant a year ago when we came in and I can't find any desire to come back when they're so many other local bookstores who I'd support first.

In what honestly feels like the only Barnes n Noble left in the Bay Area, this place stays packed, every time I've gone in here it's busy. They've got a huge selection of books & mags obviously, other products to buy as well. That can range from Lego sets you don't see in the stores, puzzles, kids toys, other book related novelty items They've also got a coffee shop on the right that's always got people sitting and eating/drinking at, a nice feature for when you come in you can grab a cup of coffee and a bite to eat too. That's where most people who want to chill and read go to. They've also got a super knowledgeable staff here too, which for my money is always really helpful.

A bit pricey ( 1$ extra for one slice of tomato and 1$ extra for some shredded lettuce ) but they were good! And somebody was selling coffee too. I have not seen many back issues with the exception of wall comics. They have a pretty large area of clearance $1 comics on the left side of the store which seem to be 2-3 years old books. I like that these $1 boxes are on tables and my back appreciates that they are easy to sort through. They also have an inventory of collected editions which includes trade paperbacks, hardcovers, omnibus, and compendiums. The owner Kerry has tried to help me find some obscure current comic books a couple times which I appreciate. The staff have all been helpful and easy to work with. I believe they do a significant amount of business in trading card/game card these days, but still have a respectable comic offering.
