I thought the overall ambience of the location was very nice. It was a nice place to sit on some coffee. Sit down and do some work. Maybe chat with other people had good vibes as far as the donuts go. I was looking forward to the donuts but again I felt like these donuts were a bit sweet for me. The jelly in the cheesecake doughnut strawberry cheesecake doughnut was pretty good. It was a bit sweet, but I liked it more than the caramel donut. The caramel doughnut was very sweet had more of a creamy caramel filling, and that made it too sweet for me, but because the jelly donut had more of a jelly filling, I felt like the sweetness was a bit less overall though I don't know if it would be worth coming here over another place for just the donuts, however the donuts were pretty cheap at $1.80 so I wouldn't mind paying for them again. read more

We found Eagles Wind a few years back and it's become one of those places we must stop at when in the area. Since they remodeled there is plenty of seating and parking. On a typical weekend the line is out the door, but it does move fast. My Husband and I agree their donuts are the best we've ever had from anywhere. I don't even like croissants and their breakfast sandwiches on croissant is amazing. My husband drinks the hot coffee and I've tried the iced versions, which were also all great. We've never had a single disappointment here with either service or the food. They also added lotus drinks, which is a newer thing this year at a lot of places. The coffee break donut is my favorite and one I hope they never remove from the menu. read more

The advantage to having a cozy coffee and donut shop is that the lines really can't get too long. It helps to have a staff that is used to working together and who understand the limits of their space. They keep the line moving while keeping their customers happy and caffeinated. We ordered simple coffees and I could not resist a blueberry fritter. I hadn't expected the blueberries to be spread through every bite of the batter, but it was very tasty. The texture was closer to a muffin than a fritter or a donut, but it was a great start to my day. My son went for a simple cake donut and we agreed that this would be a regular stop if we lived in the area. We have family nearby, so will make it a point to stop in again on our next trip to central PA. read more

We stopped in here after passing it so many times because it was already closed. We live about an hour and half away..so it was hard lol. But we finally got to stop in, and we were so happy we did. I got a shot of espresso, and my fiance ordered an Americano with a splash of real maple syrup (tasted like a donut). Both turned out excellent! My espresso was not bitter, had perfect crema, and was very smooth. My fiance loved her Americano..drank every drop. And the best part..they roast their own beans!! The coffee was spectacular. Thank you! The inside has two different vibes. Out front where the amazing looking donuts are has more of the diner/Dunkin feel to it...but over to the right there is a nice little cozy coffee area. There is a little leather couch, and some leather chairs. Bulb lit warmth. That's where we sat. We like that warm artisan coffee shop feel rather than the out front. There is plenty of seating throughout the shop. They do have a gender neutral bathroom. Everything was also very clean! Our Barista was very kind and very helpful/patient with us as it was our first time in there. Your coffee shop is great..we will definitely stop back when we are in the area!! read more

Great coffee! I'm so glad I found this place. I've been stranded for the past two days and staying at the Econolodge. Right next-door is this coffee house and I couldn't be more pleased. I ordered a regular coffee with Irish cream flavor. No bitterness, not scalding hot and it was absolutely perfect. Eagles Wind is easily one of my favorite spots to meet up with friends in the Selinsgrove area. It's never crowded, has nice little tall-top tables to sit at by the windows (the donuts are so good you don't mind the highway views!), and a dimly but cutely lit comfy area to spend time in in the back. It's quiet but still a good place for a conversation with a friend or two. The donuts here are absolutely scrumptious. They're so soft, sweet, and have that house-made taste and texture you can really appreciate. My favorite is the Lemon-Filled and Lemon Bliss (can you tell I'm obsessed with lemon desserts??), which both have fillings that are to die for. I also love getting an Iced Mocha drink here with a shot of raspberry. It's addictive but beware! Full of caffeine. It is not for the faint of heart. Being a Central Pa. native of German/Dutch heritage, I HAD.to have Fastnacht Donuts. True, good Fastnachts are getting harder and harder to find. I just happened to drive by and read the sign advertising Fastnacht Donuts. I immediately called and ordered. I had never been in this place. Upon entering, one is greeted by a warm, sweet fragrance referred to as a bakery. My expectations were definitely met beyond surpass. They were light and fluffy and absolutely delicious and actually melted in my mouth. What a gem is the Eagle's Nest Coffee Shop. All of their items look wonderful as well. Amazing Handmade Donuts! We stopped by Eagles Wind while traveling through town and were very impressed with their donuts and coffee. We sampled breakfast sandwiches, donuts, coffee, and specialty drinks. The breakfast sandwiches were ok, but only offered on croissants or bagels. We were hoping for something whole wheat or in wrap form would be available. The coffee was very good and balanced which provided a full bodied and bold flavor I crave! The star of the visit was the donuts! The donuts are top notch and resemble the delicious, melt in your mouth treats from years gone by when donut shops actually made them on site. You can actually see the employees hand making the donuts through the glass enclosure to the side. There are a nice variety of donuts offered including your standard glazed, apple fritters, iced, filled, etc. to specialty donuts which during our visit were topped with Lucky Charms cereal. As the cherry first popped, I was instantly sucked into the aroma of delight that made me want to have more and more and I didn't stop devouring until I finally had so much cream that it spilled out in a fountain of pinkish-red goo that oozed onto the floor.
