We went to the Eagleville Taphouse on a Saturday night - to watch the Flyers play and to listen to some live music by the River Dawgs. The bar was very busy with lots of game watchers viewing the many large screen TVs. But we still had excellent service by the bartender and our wait person. The bar was cozy and friendly and the music was fantastic! But what surprised me most was the quality of the food! We ordered roast pork sliders and Brussel sprouts. Plus, my husband ordered the ahi tuna bites, which I thought was a risky choice at a local Taphouse. All of the food was super fresh and very high quality. The roast pork was lean and juicy - not at all salty or over seasoned. It was served with crispy home-cooked potato chips. The Brussel sprouts were deliciously charred. Best of all was the ahi tuna which was fresh and delightfully presented on crispy tortillas with tasty red peppers. Our wait person told us that everything on the menu is prepared fresh in-house. And it was all delicious. I hope I get a chance to return soon to try some additional menu items at the Eagleville Taphouse. read more

I wanted to like this place and I often see people there, but the food is a hit or miss and the service could use some improvement. You won't receive a warm welcome unless maybe you are a regular. The flatbreads are pretty good, the short rib is really great-- I would definitely recommend that! I wouldn't get the buffalo chicken one again. Caesar salad is swimming in dressing and the fried mozzarella is terrible. It tasted like old oil and the cheese is just way too thick. Cheesesteak eggrolls were good. I've given this place multiple visits and every time it's unfortunately just not worth it. read more

This place is a staple among the locals. Every time I go home I meet my brother here for dinner. A great family meet up space with a full dining room, a full bar and fully accessible. The staff are friendly and the food is usually good. I get the wings most of the time and they are some of the best around. A great place to watch the Philly games and cheer on your favorite teams. The sandwiches are also good and the pot roast with veggies and mashed potatoes is the best comfort food around!! A Over all there are some nights the food could be better, and they serve Pepsi products instead of Coke which I am not a fan of but the family "small town" atmosphere can't be beat. A huge parking lot and always bustling even in the middle of the week. When the weather is warmer they have an outside bar (you can sit out there in the winter too, they have heaters and plastic coverings) but the dining room is always a welcome place to eat!! I really enjoyed my dinner here. It was nice to sit out on the patio, they played great music, service was good, and we enjoyed their food. We did the cheesesteak egg rolls which were very good. I did the cauliflower tacos which I liked ok but probably wouldn't order again - the jalapeño slaw was just regular coleslaw, the pico de gallo was just chopped tomatoes, and the cauliflower didn't have a lot of seasoning. My husband got the brisket grilled cheese which he really liked. I definitely plan on coming back, will just order a different entree. read more

No bartender, no server, about 15 minutes later, we flagged a server who scolded us for not seeing a hostess inside to be seated. He did not wait on us. We had a birthday party for my nephew in the front room. The service was excellent. What a great historical building. Such great ambiance.

We had a nice trainee server assisted by a friendly experienced server. We went on a Thursday for their $10 rib night meal for a friends bday. They could accommodate a gluten free allergy and had plenty of good beers on tap with Guinness too. The Irish coffee was perfect. We asked for a candle on the dessert and that was no problem. The ribs were plentiful and the food was delicious and served promptly. The bar was full of music and happy customers but we had no problem getting a seat in a quieter dining area. read more

We live close by, but just tried this place recently. We had gone to this location when it was the Eagleville Hotel and when it was Brother Paul's. My wife is a beer girl and I like bourbon and Old Fashions. We've had drinks and appetizers, both of which are good. They have a good beer selection for her and they make a good old fashioned. The bartenders have been very friendly and efficient. The decor is the same, or very similar to Brother Paul. I would recommend you check it out. read more

I had. Corned beef sandwich, and what I could find of it was more like corned beef jerky. My guest said the roast pork was very dry too. Two bad sandwiches for $35. Not again. Been here 3 times since they changed ownership, all very good experiences. Beer selections - Average 12 taps (not counting production beer) on rotation that cover all styles. Brews from local as well as well known breweries. Always have seasonal selections and always have several choices of different IPA (which is a win for me). Tap House Trio - apparently a very popular appetizer at the bar area. Definitely a better alternative than regular "bar food". 3 different dips, very versatile, goes practically any drink. Crispy Pork Belly - my favorite appetizer here. The Korean barbeque sauce is not spicy at all (as I assumed), but I didn't mind at all as the flavor and texture were both very nice. Flatbreads - We've tried different kinds and they were all very good. Very fresh and flavorful. Spaghetti and Meatballs - Meatballs were surprisingly delicious, while the spaghetti was just ok. As busy as they are, the staff are very pleasant and attentive, both at the bar and dining area. Since the renovation, the place is a lot brighter than the Eagleville Tavern and Brother Paul's days - sometimes a little too bright for a date night. The price is higher than before as well, but it's not a fair comparison as prices are up everywhere. This is definitely on my list of dining out. read more

It's ok. I do agree with a lot of people that it's kind of overpriced. Food was average for cost. It's a-shame because I really want a bar to succeed here but feel this place won't either. Drinks for this area are a bit much considering it's not conshohocken or Philly. Management is nice as are servers but definitely a little slow like most restaurants these days. read more

Arrived today, Thursday at 5 pm to try their half rack of rib special. Heard good things about it. Was seated, our waitress brought some water and said she'd give us a few minutes to decide. After 15 minutes passed, we asked the other waitress where our waitress was. People were coming in, getting seated and giving their orders and getting their drinks. My wife got up and went into the bar area, NO waitress. So we got up and left. So I can't rate the food. read more

I was just there with my girlfriend and a woman sitting next to us came over and said "I love you I reallu do buy your talking very loud can you use your inside voice....first of all its a bar on game day and bars are loud. We told the bartender a young blonde with gold streaks in her hair and she did nothing but cater to the two woman who offe ded us. I feel she shpuld have handled that way more professionally especially since we brought it to her attention....if you dont have an inside voice...stay away! I would really give it 4.5 stars, due to the price of the food. However, the quality is great, so I'll round up. I went to opening night and last night. We typically sit at the bar, preferably outside, and the bartenders are wonderful. Some are a little green, but they are trying. Most restaurants are still so under-staffed, and I think people forget that. Their cocktails are great. And they have drink specials and food specials just about every day. Plus, they just started happy hour from 4-6 Mon-Fri. While food prices are a bit high, the drink prices are comparable to the area. Food-wise, I've had the fried cobb salad and the smash brunch burger. Portions were large, and the quality of ingredients was high. But as often as I go here, the food is cost prohibitive, and I will only order food once or twice a month. They made some nice cosmetic improvements inside and outside. I love the natural wood throughout the inside, and the bartop brightens up the dark space. They just installed some outdoor heaters and will soon be wrapping the outdoor area to allow for additional seating. Great place, great people. read more

I have to say, the owner Dom and his staff are amazing. We had a communion today and there was some confusion on our reservation for 21 from our side, not the restaurant and when we called to confirm the party on Friday, we were informed there was no reservation. , while no reservation was on their books, not only did they accommodate us but there worked with us on the start time. Their staff was amazing, professional, attentive and efficient. I truly cannot thank this restaurants team, from the owner, to the manager, to the waitress and cooks, you made this amazing experience. I'm so happy you were willing and able to accommodate us and while I never leave a review on any business , this restaurant deserves it. Thank you all again. Wanted to give the new place a chance. Went in for an early dinner on a Saturday evening. We sat at the bar, and the young bartender informed us that it was his first night. We're pretty forgiving as we've both worked in restaurants, but we found it odd that 2 managers were in & out of the bar area, but nobody offered this kid any assistance or back-up. He tried admirably to keep up, but he seemed lost and certainly wasn't hustling (and the place was not packed by any measure). A man sat down next to me and must've waited almost 10 minutes before the bartender acknowledged him. I would have walked out. My wife ordered a cocktail and it was all alcohol; no balance to the drink whatsoever. I asked for a Troeg's Sunshine Pilsner. I watched him pour me a different beer, 2 taps down from the Troeg's. I understand that people make mistakes, but the Troeg's tap handle had the word Sunshine in huge font; pretty hard to miss. Also, every beer he poured was 50% foam. Through our meal we must've watched him dump several gallons of beer-foam in his valiant effort to fill pint glasses. Someone invested a ton of money into re-opening this bar but apparently neglected to have the tap-lines cleaned. YUCK!! It makes you wonder.....what else did they neglect to clean?? My wife ordered the Halibut and I got boneless wings and a margarita flatbread. The Halibut was charred on the bottom, but it was "mostly" edible, so she didn't bother sending it back. A food-runner came out with a buffalo chicken flatbread instead of the margarita that I'd ordered. I explained the error and he went back to the kitchen, returning moments later with a copy of the ticket to show me that the order stated "buffalo chicken". I sort of understand, maybe he wanted to prove that he wasn't the one who'd made the mistake. But it could also be interpreted as he was arguing with a customer. The poor, flustered bartender must have entered the order incorrectly. The kid did eventually return with a margarita flatbread. The boneless wings with the garlic parmesan sauce were quite tasty. That was the one aspect of our meal that came out without any issue. Another thing I noticed was that the bartender would wash/sanitize the stainless-steel barware and immediately use it to mix drinks while it was still wet from the sanitizing sink. I don't know what the standard is, but my instincts would be to allow the stainless to sit & dry before using it. If I'm wrong in this assumption I apologize, but I'll admit that I was glad that I wasn't ordering mixed drinks. The new owners did a nice job giving the interior a facelift. The bar area is MUCH brighter than when it was the Eagleville Tavern. Unfortunately, aside from aesthetics, they seem to be missing the mark on a lot of important issues (training, cleanliness, management engagement). I wish them well, and I hope they can get the kinks worked out in the coming months. But my wife and I don't see ourselves rushing back because the overall experience didn't align with what we paid. read more

After two dif times calling and trying to figure out how to navigate around the other person on the other side of the phone trying to take my order, It's a sin that the Eagleville Tavern didn't make it through the covid set back because this Eagleville Taphouse is awful. First, The service is not there. The young man who answers the phone can't be older than 18. It's very obvious there was no previous experience or training involved since he wouldn't answer any questions about the menu or how to greet customers. Second, the food is horrible. I ordered the mussels with the "spicy red" and it was not spicy at all. Then they asked if I wanted it with pasta? What else would you serve it with? which ended up being spaghetti. Not even linguine like asked. Pasta dishes don't come with a side salad. And the garlic bread that was stale. Compared to T'Doris in conshohocken, it was trash for the price I paid which was more than T'Doris. The fried chicken sandwich was odd but mediocre. The wings were basic bar foods. I definitely can't imagine this ownership lasting very long if they don't care about making the money back for what I guess what was put into "upgrading" it and not caring about their customers. I'm being harsh but a 1 star isn't even deserved. We won't go back there. read more

We were skeptical after reading all these reviews, but this place is new and we gave it a fair chance. The cocktails were great! Enough alcohol but they forgot garnishes (no big deal). All the food we ordered was really good, some dishes were a little too salty. We got the truffle fries, the corned beef sandwich, the fried chicken Cobb salad, beer and bacon mussels. My wife ordered the Brussel sprouts and bacon flatbread but got the burata flatbread instead. Slight miscommunication but was still good though! terrible service- no utensiles- no napkins when Brussels sprouts came- asked for utensils came back 5 minutes later with forks no knives- sprouts were cold before we could eat. only 5 half sprouts- awful appetizer- waited 40 minutes for 3 sandwiches which were gross- couldn't eat burger. no ketchup on table. didn't even bother to ask. server never came back to check in- we had to ask random worker for check. would never go back. shame on them. read more

Had the worse experience in a restaurant I have ever had. Arrived with my wife to sit at the bar, ordered drinks and asked for water and never received it. Asked for food menu, got it and the bar maid never came back. She was too busy with the manager in a back room area, then serving everyone else. Another patron came in and sat 2 chairs away, she got her drink then 5 minutes later the bar maid came and took her food order never even looking our way, then when she was done she turned and walked away from us.
