This is a popular spot to grab drinks, get a bite to eat, and even bring the kids along. They offer crazy good deals every day of the week, which makes it hard to pass up. The beer was great -- I paid around $7-8 for a beer and seven wings, which is honestly a great deal. That said, we didn't enjoy the wings at all. Insanely dry with zero flavor. We tried the garlic and "jerk." Still, for the price, it's a solid hangout spot with plenty of indoor seating and a laid-back atmosphere. I went up to the sly fox in Phoenixville this past Sunday evening ( 7/13/25 ) to get a refill on my Growler Club refill of beer. I arrived at 8:40 P.M. to find the doors closed and locked, and 2 customers sitting at the bar whie the bar tender was on his cell phone. I held my bottle up to show that all I was interested in was a refill, but was totally ignored. Sign on the door said they were open until 9, so I guess the clocks in the restaurant were off. I feel I could have had that botte refilled and gone while the remaining 2 customers were finishing up. So be it, I'm through with sly fox now. I went and got my beer elsewhere. The Memphis salad used to be so good. It had pecans and slivers of apples. Then they started adding sliced almonds and replaced the apples with cranberries. Used to have a decent amount of blue cheese, now very little and there were no almonds. The size of the salad has decreased too. Oh well, it was nice while it lasted..adios Sly Fox. read more

10/3/20 We were initially going to go to "Tuned Up" in Spring City but they were closed. We were on our way to Highland Farms and my son thought this would be a quick place to get a bite. It was on the way of our destination. There were some tables outside but we opted to sit inside. The menu has some interesting foods and some smaller items to choose from as well as sandwiches etc. We ordered the soft pretzel appetizer and it was hot and delicious. It came with spicy honey mustard. I really enjoyed it! I ordered a small crustini that had spinach cheese and bacon- that was delicious. I had two beef tacos too that I really enjoyed. My son and his girlfriend ordered this blt avocado sandwich. It was stacked with bacon maybe equivalent to a whole pig (ha ha ha) well not quite that much but very generous. The host was friendly. I'm still dreaming about the Pork Schnitzel on the Pretzel Bun. Holy cow - do yourself a favor and order one of their pretzel roll sandwiches because they are buttery, salty, pillowy and delicious. Do yourself another favor, and don't eat the entire thing, otherwise you'll end up incapacitated like I was after devouring the monstrous sandwich. Do yourself another favor, and sample some of their delicious beers. Sly Fox has been around before craft beer was trendy, and you can taste the difference in their brews. You can't go wrong with the Grisette: it's light, refreshing, and super drinkable. I also tried the Saison Vos and Circle of Progress Saison, with the latter having more of the barrel flavor, if you're into that. The staff was super accommodating during our visit, if not slightly overwhelmed on a lovely Monday evening. Tons of free parking in this OG location, which is a nice change from some of the other breweries in town. Lovely outdoor space for COVID dining. Don't forget the pretzel buns. read more

I had given this review a 1 star originally, but I thought I'd upgrade to 2 having been here many times now. The main reason only 2 stars is really the service. There have been times I've been the ONLY person there - and the servers all clump at the far end of the bar, looking at their phones, talking to each other, and ignore literally the only customer in the place. I've seen this behavior over and over when there are up to a dozen people. They recently reduced their hours and days of service under the guise of "winter hours", but the customers have been falling off steadily for the year I've been coming here. It's my "hole in the wall" lunch spot. I read that as business is bad and even with clientelle falling off, the staff still all but ignored me. One day I stopped in - 3 servers and again I was the only customer. I asked to sit outside and knew what I wanted coming in (it's not much of a menu). The bartender came out, dropped a menu and said he'd be right back - 20 minutes later - nothing. I left. The beer seems popular. The menu hasn't changed in the year I've been coming, but they have some good pretty good! Their cheese steak is amazing, good burger, they have a chicken ranch wrap that is also delicious, good fries, good onion rings - but the servers interest in each other over the customers seems to be driving the place into the ground. They're friendly enough when they engage - but typically just ignore everyone for one antoher's company and stories. Weirdest server vibe ever. read more

We arrived to find the place maybe half full, not very busy though. The hostess was nowhere to be found and we had to be finally seated by the bartender. After sitting for a bit someone came for our drinks, while waiting for them another server came over to help us. After 3 min we were asked to order and after asking for more time our waitress disappeared for 20 min at least. After finally ordering our appetizers came out at the same time as all our meals. My boardwalk gyro was good, however my girlfriend ordered a cheese steak that was dry as anything. It was two pieces of cheese melted on a roll with some steak thrown on top. Overall the food isn't bad for a sports bar kind of place but the service was awful! We got the very least of it but there were people sitting for 20 min before anyone came over to them and then for another 10 min waiting for drinks. There is no organization to who's tables are who's or what orders go where. Whole we were there multiple meals came over to our table and we had to inform the server we didn't order that. Based on the service alone I wouldn't recommend this place and would most likely not come back. The Pottstown slyfox was much better. read more

I have been wanting to visit this place for a long time. I have to say the beer was excellent ! It was a nice , average strip mall interior. Not enough televisions , only in one side of the bar. I will say that I would never eat here. To be fair I won't eat at many brew pubs , places where they brew their own beer. In my way to the men's room you can look in to the kitchen and it wasn't impressive. Then the main back door entrance was really bad , dirty and smelly. I assume this is where they receive their deliveries and it looked like a loading dock. I was super impressed with the cleanliness of the men's room , it was spotless and I was not expecting it to be so clean. I would say it was much cleaner then the kitchen . If you haven't been there, the Phoenixville Sly Fox IS a sly fox. My friend's GPS sent her in a wonky direction, and I passed it on my first go-around. Hint: look for the STS, and turn into its (huge) parking lot. It was Thursday, so our party of nine was seated without issue. This casual venue is well-lit, with TVs so one can watch the game du jour. Brewery vats are visible behind the bar - speaking of that, I hear the beer is worth trying. (Didn't try any, but my friends enjoyed their brews.) Hanging Penn State towels and posters were a nice touch, and atop the beams and on the walls, were foxes - taxidermy, much? We shared a plate of the Sly Fox pub wings ($7.99), cooked Jamaican Jerk style (remind me to try the honey mustard wings next time). The wings were somewhat scrawny, but a container of Mount Saint Helens sauce (75 cents extra) took them up a notch - FYI, the sauce is a decent habanero and jalapeno combo sauce with carrot slices. I dove into my grilled chicken and sausage penne ($8.99; that's for a lighter portion, which is really big), and it was surprisingly good. Don't remember the chicken, but the sausage was delish. Chorizo, onions, peppers, fresh Mozzarella, marinara sauce - YUM! Did I mention that I asked our server (Chris) to bring over more Mount Saint Helens sauce to mix in? I heart brewpubs! Made it a point to stop here during our excursion out to Phoenixville. I was actually surprised it was located with a strip mall. We sat outside to enjoy the beautiful weather! I'm glad we did because honestly the inside of the building looked pretty dumpy and to get to the restrooms, you had to pass through part of the kitchen. Let's see if I can remember all the beers I tried in my flight - Abbey, Grand Cru, Lager, Rauch, Weisse, and Saison. My favorite was the Saison, then the Abbey. The Rauch was really interesting with its noticeable smokey flavor! The Cru and Weisse were good too, I wasn't a fan of the Lager. It was just... a lager, lol. The beers were very refreshing and a great way to enjoy our Saturday! For food, we got some chips for the table (that bucket was tiny) and I got the pretzel burger which was very yummy, I always love pretzel rolls! Service was meh but it was due to the fact that they had an entire banquet room filled with a party and another 20-top table in addition to that. Didn't seem like they had enough servers on to cover the large parties. Our server was obviously struggling, but we knew it really wasn't her fault. My friend and I had ordered sweet potato fries but got regular fries instead. We didn't want to bother getting them changed out due to how busy it was, as long as we weren't charged for the fries we didn't get (and we weren't, so they just weren't ever rung in). Took forever to pay because our server kept disappearing - again, due to the massive parties inside. Our server was very nice and friendly, we really enjoyed her. Our family had a nice time at the Brewhouse after a nearby hike. I loved all the options for outdoor seating - it was a beautiful day and our pavilion picnic table was perfect! It was above average bar food, but living where we live we are often spoiled with fantastic bar food. All in all, I would recommend stopping by. I was not a big fan of this place. Very noisy inside which is great if you want private conversation where no one else can hear you I guess. I cannot drink beer due to allergies but my bf is a big beer drinker so I wanted to check this place out. They had NO ciders to offer at all so just got water. Really put a damper on the whole visit. Ordered the brisket fries. They were good but I think can be better by serving the brisket shredded vs chunks. For the main course ordered the turducken burger. Really good. What can I say, there's something about the idea of a goat race that sounds intriguing no matter how you look at it, especially when there's live Oompah (no loompah boompah boopity doo about it) Music playing in the background. So I'm was instantly intrigued by the thought of coming here to bear witness to it, and when Meredith and Hunter were cool enough to include me on their road trip I was destined to go to Phoenixville for the first time ever! And as you can imagine the goat race was nothing short of amazing. I can't overly comment on the layout of the building since the place was a tent filled zoo that had the animals to match. But the brewery sure was able to hold a crowd and offer good service while they did it. and the various fox themed memorabilia that it had as decor was pretty hilarious. I've always enjoyed the Pikeland Pils and the Helles from a tap, but having them fresh brewed really added onto the flavor. and the Slacker Bock might just be my new favorite beer. After 4 exciting heats, the final round saw my friend Steve, who managed to score the opportunity of racing a goat from a random ad on Craigslist (is there nothing that you can't find on Craigslist?), raced against Meredith's friend Ash. But sadly both ended up losing to a New York Giants fan! horrible victory aside I can honestly say that I may never forget the name of Goatmaster Steve, who was the person who refereed the goats. And I will definitely never forget the name of Dax, at least for a year since the winning goat's name becomes the name of Sly Fox's next mai bock. and the beer version of Dax might just be the smoothest mai bock that I ever had. and it was sheer testament to Sly Fox's brewing skills! read more

Drove out to Phoenixville in search of on-tap beers after having some really good in-the-can from Sly Fox. I was not disappointed. My wife & I shared two rounds of the samplers...at $6 for 5 glasses, it's a great way to find the brew that's fit for your taste. I've got some pics of the beer lineup posted above; I like stouts and while the O'Reilly Stout was a nice dry stout similar to Guinness, I preferred the smoother Oatmeal Stout. Another standout was the Raspberry Reserve...not at all sweet. If you like hops, make sure and get the Aurora IPA; this thing is a hop monster! Service was good...decent place to watch a football game in the bar or have a quiet meal on the other side of the restaurant. We shared a crab & corn warm dip that was decent...points for having diced peppers for color & crunch. read more

Their annual Christmas celebration(usually held on 1st Fri. in December) is always a fun event. Features 20+ beers; many rare ones. Favorites include Ichor Quad,Raspberry, Xmas, Saison Vos, London Calling Porter, 18th Anniversary IPA.There is a style for everyone here! Also one of the 1st local breweries to use cans. I went here for the first time with someone who goes here regularly, after hearing for so long about how great it was. I have to say, it lived up to its reputation. The menu was a wonderful surprise with a variety of choices that went beyond your standard pub food. There was even a specials menu that was equally impressive. I was thrilled to see some healthier (while totally yummy) foods and multiple vegetarian options. I had the "peace wrap", fresh veggies, beautiful feta and black bean hummus with a side of fries. It was excellent and reasonably priced. For a little more you can add chicken if you'd like. The service was fast and friendly late on a Friday night. The environment is warm and comfortable. A great place to enjoy some hand crafted beer and good food. It will never be confused with the resurrection of Le Bec Fin but a solid brew pub. We split our beer choices. I chose the IPA and was not disappointed. It had a balanced malt and a spicy hop finish. We followed with wings. Buffalo and Garlic Parma in the mix. The wings were well coated and fried to exterior crunch. Solid flavors from both sauces. I had the pulled pork sandwich. When it came without extra sauce I was concerned. The first bite left that thought in the dirt. A strong smoke flavor with the perfect mix of homemade sauce. The red cabbage slaw on top provided great textural contrast. I had Sly Fox's Christmas beer a few times and liked it so a buddy and I stopped here back in May while doing stops at a few breweries in PA. We had already eaten lunch at a different place so we only got the fried pickles to eat, which were okay and nothing really special. We split a huge flight of beer and we were really disappointed. The beer was way, way too carbonated and tasted watered down; we tried a bunch of different styles and we really only liked 1, maybe 2 of them. Eaten here twice. Nice variety of food. They seem to make all of it there which is always awesome. The sweet potato fries are AMAZING. I know that's an odd thing to enjoy so much but most companies get sweet potato fries from 1 distributor and sly fox does not get them from there, they seem to be made there and they are amazing. Pretzel bun burger is good, pizza burger special is good. Fish tacos were a bit different but decent. Sampler appetizer is great for a few people. Mozzarella cheese wedges are yummy, onion rings are spot on. Saw some else with soup and a sandwich that looked great too. Bartenders seems knowledgable of beers but servers seem to be lacking a bit. After waiting over 30 minutes our meals arrived ... Very very disappointing. Our food was cold and dried out just not fresh! The crab cakes were terrible almost mostly old bread filler, the burgers were well done and dried out instead of being medium rare or pink ! Overall just a waste of over $120.00 ! I recently stopped at Sly Fox to get a growler filled. When I got home and poured the first glass, I realized that the growler had been filled incorrectly with water. I called them and they were awesome about the whole thing - they even sent me a $25 gift card in the mail! I already loved this place for the good beer and food, but this just made me love them even more (even if I was bummed about not having a growler full of Christmas Ale at the time)! PS. If you find yourself there when they have the Christmas Ale on tap, try a "half and half/black & tan" with the Christmas Ale & O'Reilly's Stout (which is arguably BETTER than Guinness)! PPS. Hot dog Party in here!!!!! Literally and figuratively. Came here with a friend to watch an afternoon Phillies game. (A game I had planned to go to , but weather and life intervened). They had a "businessmans" special- $1 hotdogs and bag o chips, $2.50 drafts. I dont know how many of these guys were businessmen,( Im sure not) but there were alot of them for a Thursday afternoon. Ive never been much of a micro brew guy, but then again, I was never much of a beer guy. Places like Rock Bottom and Sly Fox are turning me into one though. While Ill always be a Guiness guy, their Stout was tasty. I would have stuck with that but I wanted to sample some others. At $2.50, I was able to try a few without breaking the bank, and they didnt disappoint. I was also pleasantly surprised by the Dogs. Because of the special, I assumed I would be getting a generic run of the mill hot dog. It was actually a damn fine wiener and a good roll. I cant really say the food there is good though, Ill have to come back to try some of their normal eats. The menu looked good. The service was friendly, the barkeep was a looker, the patrons were amicable. I couldnt really ask for more on a Thursday afternoon. Although, a Phillies win would have been nice.
