The beer is good and the staff is friendly. But if you actually want to have a beer, you might want to go somewhere else. The last three times I've tried to stop in, they've been closed for private events. Apparently, this place is more of an event space than a brewpub that's open to the public. You can certainly give it a try, but there's no guarantee you'll actually get in and you will have wasted your time going there. read more

We were in the area and Googled breweries and found Bald Birds Brewing Company and decided to try it. I had the wheat ale, Sly Sparrow, 5% and my husband had the barrel aged stout (his favorite) which was Jed Over Heels at 15.5%. He really enjoyed it and would order again. My wheat beer was good, just what you'd expect and maybe a tiny bit lighter than other wheats. They offer flights too, of course. It's super nice in here and the bartenders are very friendly. They also offer their own versions of Bourbon, Rum, Vodka and Agave. They offer Penn Woods wines as well for those who wish. read more

AUDUBON, PA: just a few minutes away from Phoenixville is Bald Birds Brewing, a craft brewery with an indoor and outdoor tasting room that is dog friendly! We always like to order a flight at a new place and we had over 12 beers to choose from! There are also select cocktails available. Your pup will be happy with a treat from their cookie jar. You can bring your own food and have a nice time in their cozy tasting room. We enjoyed the wood paneling and decor and loved the TVs along the wall to watch the game. To be perfectly honest I don't love their beer. I'm a big NE IPA and sours kinda girl, but their sours always fall short for me. No real body too them, and their hazies are usually on par with that. Not all though! However. This place allows you to make it as good as you want it BECAUSE.. you can bring your 1. own food despite them supplying food trucks (the bbq truck that I'm not sure is still there long term was absolutely delicious, and the workers were so charismatic, aka poked fun at me) AND 2. Your kids. And I'm not referring to those annoying two legged screaming ones. I'm referring to the fluffy babies that we all want to pet and snuggle. Needless to say the fact that I can come here for trivia any Wednesday with tacos from down the street and both of my black cats truly makes this place a must visit in the area. So 5/5 it is. Finally got to Bald Birds after signing up to play cornhole here. Great place to have some drinks(beer and liquor)and spend some time. Bartender was knowledgeable and nice. The place is nice with a cozy industrial feel. Free pool on a nice big table. Big TVs. Free video games. Delco steak truck outside. Clean bathrooms. And plenty of parking. Not to mention dog friendly, and you can bring your own food in! Cornhole was loads of fun, met some nice people and a nice pup. Definitely looking forward to heading back. read more

Came in for a beer flight on a busy Saturday afternoon. Plenty of parking, but also plenty of dogs and kids around this place. Some decent IPAs here, but the show-stopper was the Cozy Dream Porter. Sadly, this place has a food truck that looked closed for some time. I would've loved to get a pretzel to pair with the beer, but this was not an option. Was looking to connect with some class parents, potluck style, and Bald Birds welcomed us with open arms. Parents were looking to find a spot where everyone could bring a dish, bring their kid if a sitter wasn't available, and enjoy a brew or few while mingling. Much needed addition to the area. Been there since the Opening Day, and fell in love with it immediately. I prefer interesting IPAs but always try different styles, and Bald Birds provides exactly that. They have 12 taps that provide big enough variety to accommodate broad range of interests, rotation is frequent enough to make every trip worthwhile, and their beer is always solid. They also have wine and spirit, and can some nonalcoholic drinks for the kids. The taproom is huge, from picnic tables to high tops to bar seats, it welcomes different sizes of groups and families. The patio is big, so dogs are welcome as well. I miss the events they used to run. Hopefully they will come back after everything is back to normal. They have variety of food trucks come by. I would choose them over their own hotdogs though I understand they had to have some food while it was required but the state, and appreciate the effort they made so that we could still enjoy their beer. The staff is knowledgeable and MOST of them are friendly and attentive. I have to take a star off here, because while I appreciate the brewmasters serve their beer, some of them should not be servers. Last note, there's an ongoing groupon deal that's a steal. Overall, I recommend Bald Birds to all my beer lovers. read more

The rating is based on just 2 beers- an IPA and a sour- really good. We were bummed to find out they are in between food trucks, so no eats. We were starving so headed out. The space is decently sized and there is a pool table and arcade games. It wasn't busy at all- unsure if that's normal or not. It's off the beaten path in an office park. We headed over to Bald Birds to check it out on a lazy weekend afternoon - it was supposed to start snowing later in the evening, so we figured we would get out while we could. The brewery has a large deck which will be awesome come summer and the inside is pretty spacious. They have a variety of lounge areas and picnic tables. The building is spacious and has a cool vibe. There's also a popcorn machine and water stand so you don't have to hit the bar for a little H2O. They had a variety of their beers on tap and there was something for all tastes. On top of that they had games - both board games and video games, making sure kids of all ages are happy. The staff was very knowledgeable and happy to share information about the brewery, when they started, where they may be headed, etc. We hadn't remembered our growler but were able to take home two crowlers to enjoy later that night. We are excited to pack a dinner/buy from a food truck if there's one there and enjoy this place again! read more

The guy they have running it is a hot mess and spends most of the time judging people for not sharing his music taste. To avoid a Chuck E. Cheese environment, go early on weekends or on weekdays. Personally I don't care to go to places for where I pay a premium for adult craft beers and also have to put up with crying babies and youngsters running around. Bald Birds is a great addition to the area. Finding it via GPS can be a little tricky, but worth it. It's a fairly sized brewery with some great outdoor seating when it's nice out. They do not serve a lot of food, so byof is encouraged. They have food trucks on most weekends. It's family and pet friendly. They have several events throughout the month, like live music, dueling pianos, and trivia. They also have lots of games to play as well. They offer a variety of beers. The beers were fantastic (particularly loved the lactose IPA they had on tap) and the Conshy Girls were there with killer pulled pork mac & cheese -- YUM There are different seating areas well-placed and clustered all throughout so there are great spots to steal away to if you have a small group. We didn't play, but the arcade games here and there as well as the pool table near the entrance are super fun to have in a brewery. Stopped here on a Saturday night for the first time. Service was extremely quick even though they were quite busy. Beer was delicious and reasonably priced. Popcorn machine with free popcorn was a nice touch. Only downfall was it felt like a Chuck-E-Cheese - children everywhere! They a few game systems as well as a pool table and dart boards, but you couldn't get near them due to all the kids. Although I'm sure it's great for families, we wish it wasn't so kid friendly. Was told the Crowler machine is broken and they don't know when it will be fixed. They offered me small cans, but they only had three styles of their beer and none that I like. New company with a nice, peaceful (bob marley-esque) vibe. The beer is still pretty new but that have decent brews. Have Fun is a great hoppy beer. Also enjoyed their cider made from a tequila coated oak barrel. I like that they are giving food trucks a chance for the food. The popcorn is free but they don't have any food from their end. Not friendly at all, especially for a newer brewery, didn't seem like anyone cared we were there.
