The rep inspected the system and reported back that we had a serious problem. He took me up to the attic where the HVAC units were and told me his gas detection device showed a high gas reading and the gas had to be turned OFF for our safety. Then he had me listen (via speaker phone) while he discussed the situation with his Boss. They pressed to set a date to replace the system but I told them I had to think it over. I did get a second opinion the next day from a neighbor's HVAC company. He reported that there was not a gas leak and everything was good. Summary: 1) Check references when a company has been purchased. 2) Get a second opinion when you are made to feel that something must be decided immediately. 3) Be suspicious.

The technician came out last year to install one of the AC brand new and serviced the other. Fast forward a year later, and there's a leak dripping from the ceiling. Within a day of the leak, the ceiling caved in!! We thought there was roof damage and initially got a roofer out who recommended getting an AC tech out there. We called NASA Mechanical and scheduled for them to come out. They didn't show because I asked about warranty coverage and call out fee. When I followed up they said they didn't show because they weren't sure I was okay with the $99 call out fee. They scheduled for their next appointment which was 5 days out. We couldn't wait this long since there's active leak so we got another AC tech to come out the next day. The AC tech discovered the leak was because the flow switch was left flipped!.. NASA Mechanical left the flow switch flipped, and the pan got full overflowed and overflowed into the AC and attic causing the ceiling to cave in!! Wow, what a mess! Now i have to pay a ton to get the ceiling and dry wall repaired, and the leak has caused some flooring damage as well. Please be wise and DO NOT use this company if you don't want to sustain $$$ in damages due to the aftermath of their negligence.

I called them up and the tech was there pretty quick and was very nice. He found the issue fairly fast. What I like the most is he was thorough and walked me through how he identified the issue, checking all the minor problems first such as the capacitor etc. He also gave me options and advice on whether to go with an OME part or generic, the warranties that came with them etc. I decided to go with the OME since it had lasted almost 10 years and had a better warranty. He had to make a trip to the parts store for the OME motor, but my heat was back up and running in about 2hrs and the price was fair. I would highly recommend them.
